I kind of figured that the Yankees would end up blowing the game the second I saw Tom Gordon come in. Thankfully, he didn't let me down. I do have to wonder why they left Giambi in there for the final at-bat though. Tino Martinez has been hot lately, why not take the chance on him in that situation?

I was getting a little worried there that the Phillies might rally back in the 8th, but, thankfully, Jose Offerman came in and put a stop to that. Thanks Jose!

I actually don't mind the trade as much as other people, believe it or not. I am kicking myself more over my itchy trigger finger than about the trade itself. I wouldn't even change it, since I am now somewhat curious as to how good of a team I can build minus Morneau. Well, yeah. If I thought he was absolute crap, I probably wouldn't have traded Justin Morneau for him. My hope is that upgrade of getting him over Jason Jennings is greater than the downgrade of losing Morneau and replacing him with Nick Green or whomever I end up using in my utility spot. If I am still in first place come August, I'll say it paid off nicely.

It wasn't so much a mistake as it was a really bad decision on my part. Ah well. If what's his name actually keeps up with how he's doing this season, it could pay off for me. My offense is still potent enough without Morneau(At least, so far).

The Blue Jays just went up 2-0 in the 7th, as Randy Johnson must be feeling like he's in Arizona again. EDIT: Did Toronto go back to being the Blue Jays again or are they still just the Jays? Just curious.

I know there was one that was heavily implied in Wild Arms 2. I can't really remember the scene much anymore, but basically the lead character and his girlfriend are in her room, and then it cuts out. I can't remember if it is implied from the noises being made from the room, or from a conversation of two other characters as it was supposedly happening, but you pretty much know what they are doing in there. It also had the main villain in an incestuous relationship with his sister, making it one of the weirder RPG's I've played.

After you get "The Michael Vick Experience"
Der Kommissar replied to jimmy no nose's topic in Sports
I think that was Jeff Garcia... -
Why the Suikoden III hate, Flik? I found it to be rather average. It was certainly nowhere near as good as the original or Suikoden II, but I wouldn't call it horrible or anything. Just curious...

Your team has nothing on my sportsline.com fantasy basketball team. I don't think there was one week in the season where my team didn't have one player out with an injury or a suspension. Plus, they were always key players like Pau Gasol, Tim Duncan, Brad Miller, or Manu Ginobili. The cool thing is that, despite this, I am still likely going to finish 2nd. Anyway, it looks like I am going to win my game here this week. Thankfully, my three Tiger players filled in admirably for my injured guys. I just hope that trend will continue next week.
-
I think I have to be the worst of the bunch with 4 guys on the DL to start the season. On the flip side, after discovering those injuries, I am really happy this is a weekly league.

What was Russo's obsession with "object on a pole" matches anyway? I remember they had like 3 of these kinds of matches in the span of a month around this time: The Judy Bagwell on a Pole match, the Viagra on a pole match, and Sting vs. Scott Steiner in a lead pipe on a pole match. That just seems like a bit much to me.
-
Yeah, but there is an equal chance of that happening to your opponent. In theory, it should even out. Unless it is a key player that you lost, you could probably make up for it. Heck, I am in a weekly fantasy basketball league, and I have seen several teams pull out victories, despite having an injured player in their starting lineup. Weekly or daily, if you lost a key player or two, you would probably lose anyway.

Pour Andre Chevailer: Contact Hitting - 6 Power Hitting - 6 Strike Zone Judgment - 4 Defense - 4

Well, if they win here, they will be going to the Final Four. If that's the case, then I can think up about 100+ teams who would love it they were that terrible. Of course I can't see WV getting by Arizona/Illinois, but stranger things have happened. Also, as an aside, I just read that the Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers won the Division III Championship. I just wanted to point this out since I think the nickname "Pointers" has got to be one of the worst I have heard for a team in quite awhile.

I was able to get to level 5 before being totally lost and just giving up.

That's awesome.

How the U.S. Uses Globalization to Cheat
Der Kommissar replied to NoCalMike's topic in Current Events
Let's not forget about rich college students who are trying to be "rebellious." I know when the idiot brigade descended on Windsor to protest some globalization conference a few years ago, they seemed to mostly be hippies, freaks, and people who don't realize that grunge went out in the early '90s. It was so nice when the Windsor police basically stopped their protest right in its tracks. By the second day, they were reduced to trying to recruit local high school students just so they could have a respectable number of protesters. It was awesome. -
I am not sure how much more it would cost in travel expenses, but wine is even cheaper in Louisiana. As a matter of fact, I have made a decent chunk of change buying rum in California and selling it in Louisiana, then buying wine in Louisiana and selling it in California.

I am JasperNuguya myself. How does one level up to PeeWee, BTW? Also, I am doing moderately successful playing the stock market and at the race track. EDIT: Nevermind. I moved up to PeeWee now.

After some waffling, the Komijul takes the guy we were going to grab in the first place. We take... Craig Monroe!

24/32 for me as well. The bad: I lost a Final Four team in Syracuse. The Good: I had the other 7 going out in the second round anyway. It also looks like I will get my "Wisconsin in the Sweet 16" pick right.
-
I would have to agree with you there, 2Gold. It was somewhat frustrating that they couldn't take advantage on offense, but I credit them for making a game of it like they did. They really made Duke look foolish at some points...I loved it. Who knows? Maybe in a few years they will go from 16th seed to cinderella team, much like Vermont did tonight.
-
I had to miss the end because they just HAD to show people standing around in the Wisconsin-N. Iowa game. Also, This Duke game seems to be the worst Duke I have seen in awhile, they haven't gotten a FG in the longest of time, and if Delaware St. wasn't Delaware St., Duke would probably be looking at a loss right now. I hope they play this bad against some of their tougher opponents.
-
I am stuck with Northern Iowa/Wisconsin. The Louisville game can't be any worse than that. Then again, it did allow me to see N. Iowa royally fuck up an alley oop, but it is not like a game I really want to see when another game is close with 15 seconds to go.

The Komijul selects... Nate Robertson!
