I haven't seen it recently, but certainly in the Heyman era the wrestlers remained on OVW TV for a while (fr example, Punk only recently dropped the OVW title). For gimmicks which are drastic changes, they realise that the people watching are likely to be smart to what's going on. With the Tolands and Mr Anderson being called up under different names, they aknowledged the name changes on OVW TV (and in Andersons gave the reason for the change). For the Spirit Squad, they had Jeter get his hair cut off in the ring (I think it was retaliation for him cutting someone elses hair off, but I'm not sure). Afterwards he was looking distraught when the Spirit Squad came up and took him in. I'm sure there are other examples, but most of the call-ups recently have been in gimmicks that are related to their OVW persona.

We should applaud Czech for his verbosity.

The most important thing for a gimmick is if the wrestlers can pull it off and look like they're having fun with it. With Eddie, he looked more suited to the Lie Cheat Steal gimmick than the Latino Heat gimmick, and it showed. AAE and Umaga are suited well to their gimmicks and it shows. It looks as though Gospard and Neighborhoodie are having fun with the gimmicks and can pull them off well, so they have a good chance of getting over with them. And just as importantly, if they get over and go for singles pushes, it can easily move into a ME gimmick for one of them.

I've had this before, and fixed it by refreshing my internet connection (through control pannel). That might fix it.

I guess the latest Raw results are back soon then...

It is indeed new. There's some infor on it at the SI Games site, but basically you can act as a feeder for a more established club, or have a smaller club as a feeder for you. So for example, if you were Derby (not that anybody would do such a thing...) you could try getting a big European club like Bayern Munich to have you as their feeder club and get their reserve players on loan for free. Alternatively, you could get Grays Athletic to be yours and have first refusal on any decent players they get. From memory, you can also chose the type of agreement you have and have more than one feeder, but don't hold me to that. I'm interested as to what they'll put the Maschareno and Tevez deal as in the game. If they have them as on extended loan from Corinthians that will be more realistic as having them as normal signings. BTW Maschareno was awesome in FM06. He was the anchor in my League winning Pompey side with Freddy Adu in front of him. Good times.

From Hardy's sudden SD push, I get the horrible feeling they're gonna have Hardy win a title or have a title shot, and have Hardy cost him it to set up a feud. Possibly at RR to set up a WM match. To be fair, it'd probably be a good move for both of them. Certainly better than their original break up.

If Nitro/Hardy doesn't result in a PPV Ladder rematch I will be shocked and appalled. I can't remember a Nitro Ladder match, but he seems like he'd be well suited for one. And Hardy being in one will probably pop a few buys.

Umaga will be cool, the lack of AAE will not. I think he's the latest guy to make the cut (possibly along with Khali) so that should date it to just after WM. The lack of the SS kinda sucks, but is understandable as it'd either be all or nothing. The lack of the other tag champs is also annoying. Kennedy's entrance will be good, as will what I presume is pirate Birchill. Boogyman and Mexicools will also be good. Mercury is in, so I guess we'll get MNM as tag champs along with Show/Kane. I may have to wait until I get a 360 to take advantage of downloading decent CAWs.
