Congress Asks Vince McMahon For WWE Testing Details & Results
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I doubt WWE has anything criminally liable on their hands. Not having a steroid policy is not breaking the law. WWE I'm certain doesn't distribute steroids themselves. They could pass a law through the usual legislative channels. In my opinion, that law would be unconstitutional. -
Suspended game ends with an 8-7 Yankees victory. Rodriguez does not homer. Our long national nightmare is over.

It would be a bad faith move and really, how would you go about convincing Iguchi that you have an opening at second base?
-
At least we now know that the real Kenny Williams is alive and well and that the evil imposter that surfaced from 2005-2006 has been eradicated. The report is that Iguchi is a free agent after the season and can not be offered arbitration as per terms in his contract. If true, that severely limits his trade value.

Phils acquire 2B Tadahito Iguchi from the White Sox in exchange for minor league Michael Dubee. Dubee's discussed as a sleeper at times but I'm not going to fret giving up a relief prospect in the low minors.

Congress Asks Vince McMahon For WWE Testing Details & Results

Here's a more pertinent question. Can Congress honestly get those test results? I don't see how they have a right to them. -
Congress Asks Vince McMahon For WWE Testing Details & Results

I think this is naive. Big guys like Gorilla Monsoon, Haystacks Calhoun, Sky Hi Lee and many others received big pushes long before steroids existed. I don't intend for this to become yet another argument about what works in wrestling. Let me just say that some actions on this level may be harmful to the wrestling industry, and ultimately to the quality of the show. I highly doubt this will lead to positive changes. Government action may at best lead to a revised steroid policy with more smokescreens. Anything further than that, independent government testing for example, jeopardizes the industry. -
I'm glad to see Marlon Byrd gets a shot at the center field job in Texas as well. The Phillies indeed called up Joe Thurston from Ottawa. Thurston can at least hold the fort for a month as needed. I bet Nunez will end up starting though. Mike Zagurski is gone to clear room for Brett Myers in the bullpen. Danny Sandoval was designated for assignment, and will almost certainly clear waivers.

I think you went on some drunk posting rampage a while back.

It has one of their better documentaries. Many clipped matches on the second disk, but you do get a Rockers vs. Rose/Somers match and Lawler/Von Erich in full. Considering it covers almost all unfamiliar territory, I think it's well worth a purchase.

Went to the Scranton/Louisville game. Chris Dickerson hit for the cycle. Got to meet Joba Chamberlain and get his autograph today.

Favorite Crowd Reactions to Face/Heel Turns?
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to zappafrank's topic in General Wrestling
Best face turn that comes to mind is Virgil turning on Dibiase at the '91 Rumble. Classic. -
The Phils could go with Joe Thurston if Utley will miss a month or less. If longer, the Phils should probably sit back this season and regroup for next.
-
What else could they do? I did watch it at one point. Right before Owen's video package, JR introduces it and says, "we've got big problems out here."
-
That stuff as well as a new NWA and Florida wrestling show. Check out that Florida show as it has a lot of good old footage of guys like Terry Funk and Bob Orton Jr. If Orton had a crewcut in the 70s he would look exactly like Randy.

AA Batting Coach/Former MLB Player Killed At Game
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in Sports
There's a tendency when tragedy occurs to go overboard in preventative measures. Even when something is a fluke occurance. To my knowledge, this is the first direct on-field fatality in organized baseball in over 50 years. This was a million to one shot. Honestly, you have a better chance of being struck by lightning. And to add a little perspective on this, Mike Coolbaugh wasn't just a hitting coach. Coolbaugh played third base professionally. He was certainly not unfamiliar with the dangers of a batted ball. -
Anyone wanna help me invade another forum?
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to foleyfanforever88's topic in General Wrestling
This isn't the purpose of the forum, by a longshot. -
Didn't see much out of Votto and Bruce today. Phil Hughes was absolutely dominant, striking out seven batters in six scoreless innings.
-
Kennedy I've already seen and was impressed by in a game in Reading. Chamberlain seems an elite talent based on his performance this year. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see Chamberlain in action. Tonight I've got Louisville/Scranton with Phil Hughes on rehab. Also curious to see the Reds' next big thing, Jay Bruce.

Lack of passion, Heenan says as much in his autobiography. -
http://sports.espn.go.com/minorlbb/news/story?id=2945798 To my knowledge this is the first on-field death in 50 years caused directly by on-field action. Frankly I'm surprised this isn't big news.

Honus Wagner is unquestionably #1. His .542 slugging percentage in 1908 would be very good in today's era. When you consider the entire league slugged .318, it makes it every bit as dominant a performance as Babe Ruth 15 years later. No shortstop ever led the league in as many batting categories as Wagner, even A-Rod if you give him credit for his years at third base.
