I think theyd be perfect for an armband strapped mp3/walkman type thing, otherwise the cord is too short. But I have a 25 foot extender cable and Im using one of the pairs to listen to XM online away from the computer and they aren't too bad. A couple years ago I bought a pair of them just like this (that go over the earlobe with the part sticking in) and they were $10 from Panasonic I want to say. For free its a good deal. Edit: it took them over 3 weeks to get from PA to MD..so Id assume that anyone that hasn't gotten theirs and lives farther away will still get them. They only paid regular postage for the packages so its really slow...

I think its been Glenn Beck whos been harping on this for the last few weeks. The main road (I-69)from Canada through the US to Mexico is supposedly going to be 400 yards wide with no off ramps and computer controlled guidance or something so that the Mexican drivers dont kill people in their trucks. Just recently the Mexican truck drivers got the right to drive anywhere they want in the US in their trucks for deliveries even though the qualifications for driving a truck in Mexico are laughable at best and the trucks aren't too much better either. They had been previously restricted to an up to 20 mile buffer zone along the border.

Super Bowl XLII is going to be a rematch of Super Bowl XXXI I think the Packers are the only NFC team that won't be 15+ point underdogs to the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and quite honestly would be the best Super Bowl matchup available with the Patriots out of the AFC. The most interesting story though is the fact that the friggin Cleveland Browns could win the AFC North...but the problem is they need the Ravens to beat the Steelers in week 17 (Steelers have St. Louis next week, Browns have Cincy and SF). That'll be hillarious..Browns fans rooting for the Ravens to beat the Steelers so they can win the AFC North, cause if they both win out the Steelers have the tiebreaker, although Cleveland would still make the playoffs as a Wild Card and probably play Pittsburgh in the first round. But I cannot see Browns fans rooting for the Ravens, even in such a scenario where it would mean winning the Division and getting a home playoff game vs going on the road in the first round. I wonder if its possible the Steelers dont make the playoffs? If the Ravens were to beat them week 17 (which wont happen, but lets just imagine it might) and the Browns win out (highly probable) and the Titans win out (vs Jets and Colts not very likely but the Colts have the 1rst round bye locked up and might not play Manning and Co. in the last game) then does anyone know who has the tiebreaker between a 10-6 Steelers team and a 10-6 Titans team? Edit (It would be the Steelers based on their 5-1 Division record vs the Titans 4-2 division record) damn! I was hoping the Ravens could knock the Steelers out..but the only way is if St. Louis beats them as well.

After they lose to the Dolphins, and the Seahawks, and the steelers and finish 4-12 after starting 4-2...Im thinking things might change. The "quarterback play" isn't going to get any better unless they sign a FA QB and a look at the FA QBs (Grossman, Cullpepper, McCown) makes me think it would probably end up WORSE than this year with them. Drafting a QB will only make things worse. The "injuries" are a sign of an aging team and thats not going to miraculously cure itself in one offseason. I saw todays result from a mile away..not surprising at all. Most of the team pretty much gave up after the Pats game and the ones that havent are now "injured" and out for the rest of the season (pryce,heap,mccallister,ray lewis,rolle,boller) One bright spot is Troy Smith looked really good late but I doubt he'll be given enough of a chance in 08 for it to matter any. He might as well start next week vs Seattle though..no point in trotting out Boller any more this season.

I think Luke Scott could hit 20 HR and around .280 avg/.340 OBP for the Orioles in 08 which would be way more than Jay Payton's 7 HR and .256 avg/.292 OBP as the primary starter in LF last year. That's fine. What about center field, and keeping in mind that they'd still like to trade Brian Roberts, Ramon Hernandez, and Melvin Mora? I doubt they trade Roberts, Hernandez can hit if he stays healthy (which he couldnt in 07) and Mora..ugh.

HD DVD does have a 3 layer 51 GB disc but at a cost of compatibility issues because they have it portioned out to be 1 layer (17 GB) for regular DVD that can be read by a standard DVD player. Thats 1 more GB than a double layer BR disc.

I surprisingly dont have a problem with the lack of HD. At least it supports 480p widescreen. Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy and Zelda all look really good to me.

Yeah but people order stuff off of Netflix and that comes through the mail right? Something that could just sit and download over night or over a couple days and let you know when it's ready would be viable. Of course there's thechnical hurdles there, like bandwidth costs for the provider and such, but I think it may be closer than people think. The big issue is that most ISPs have a cap on the ammount of GB you can download in a month, even if they advertise UNLIMITED. Most people dont even come close to that cap now which is why they can advertise it as unlimited because 99.9% of their customers will never hit that number doing legal (and even some illegal stuff), but they would if they started regularly downloading large files for HD Movies. And if more people start downloading larger files and clogging up bandwith, ISPs will probably institute a 2nd tier for higher bandwith amounts (with little to no speed increase) that cost way more than what people are paying for now. Not to mention how slow people are on the uptake of HD TVs, but to have to get people to upgrade their computers with either HD monitors or HD outputs to get the video to their HD TVs..
