I was gonna say.."But its in HD!" but FSN has HD football games too that Ive seen. I'll agree on the graphics..its just blah.. That McNair run was beautiful..at least set up the Ravens for a FG to get on the board before halftime.

Its good in HD although the graphics suck...just kinda bleh..But its better than S/MNF cause they aren't pimping out other shows that have nothing to do with football. Bryant Gumble is ok..I dont get all the hate on him from last week. Collinsworth is passable. I highly doubt that it's better than Sunday Night Football. From what I've observed heretofore, you're not really qualified to judge the quality of anything on television. Meh..Ive never been a Madden person but NBC's coverage is ok. Its just great that there haven't been any ads for shows unrelated to football. The NBC pregame highlights show is great though when I get time to watch it.

Some 3rd party is making connectors for NES and SNES controllers that plug into the gamecube sockets allowing play with VC games if you have an old controller sitting around and $19 for each.

So far..the weather seems to be holding out. Ravens need to get the lead NOW and sit on it when the bad weather comes if it actually does before the game is over.

If the weather's nasty it'll be like the Denver MNF game earlier for the Ravens. The Ravens have never played well in bad weather. I was hoping the storm system would hold off but I guess not..

The Ravens might be a decent fit for Vick but ID rather not put up with him.

I have Cablevision and I don't have to pay extra for HD. I only have to pay the $5.00 extra for the box. I have FSNNY and MSG in HD and I barely see anything in HD. Only about 1/3 of the Knick games are in HD and a 1/3 of the Ranger games are in HD. It's bullshit. And MyNetwork is in HD and the only shows they have in HD are the stupid soap operas they have on everynight. And INHD/INHD2 both blow with nothing ever good on them. Atleast HDNet has good movies. They should use some of that bandwith for ESPN2HD. I'd LOVE to have DiscoveryHD and NFL Network HD, but we don't even have NFL Network so I doubt we'll get it in HD anytime soon. Whatever, since it is free, beggers can't be choosers. Directv is at least nice enough to have all of those..sort of. NFL Network is only in HD when theres actually something in HD on. Discovery HD is like watching Discovery Channel reruns from the past 3 or 4 years, and yet still..NO FUCKING MYTHBUSTERS IN HD! Bunch of Retards. ESPN2 is nice in HD..youd be surprised to know that they have DRAG RACING IN HD of all things. I'm glad you are happy with HD Lite. That argument over to AVS is annoying. HD Lite looks miles better than directvs SD programming (which is horrid). And it will get better starting next year when they can add new sats and swtich to MPEG4 completely. Problem is, my HD Tivo will be useless...wah! Im glad there are at least a few people who dont understand the need to have a HD TV hooked up to non-hd programming AND stretching it to fill the screen. You can almost immediately tell if its stretched or HD because everything looks bloated if its stretched. I cant stand that, and Id rather lose 1/5 (approx) of the screen to black bars than to have to deal with that bloating effect.

I'm scared! I don't think I could take that. The only thing good coming from that for me is that by 2010 or so Nintendo would no longer be the friend to all gamers, nostalgic underdog good guys just trying to get by against overlord Sony. They would be the evil empire again and Sony or maybe someone new could come in and save us by taking us back to the good old days of 1997-2003. from the way some people talk about how they hate paying for the oldschool games over and over everytime Nintendo puts out a new medium to play them on, it seems like they aren't very friendly at all. Personally..I'd be happy if Nintendo at least beats down Microsoft to #3 but even thats not likely..

Granted, 1/2 of MDs wins have been vs scrub teams but they've beat some decent teams in St. Johns, Michigan St and Illinois. The huge knock against MD this year is their non-conference schedule, which was only improved by wining the Coaches vs Cancer Tournament where they had to beat St. Johns and Michigan St. They dont play a reputable team until the middle of January when they start ACC play and they dont play NC til Feb. 28th or 2nd to last game of the season and its up here.. What I like about MD this year is that they have a core of veterans (Jones/Strawberry/Ibekwe/Gist) and a deep bench. Plus Greivis Vasquez is all kinds of awesome...better than Steve Blake I think.

I told you I doubt it. Im sure down the line they'll put out a remote battery pack with a USB adapter to charge it or something but seriously its not worth it when you can go anywhere and get 4 rechargable AA batteries for $8 and they will last longer than the W!! itself, as Im still recharging batteries I bought almost 10 years ago and they work fine.

1 4 pack of rechargable batteries $8 = 2000 recharges = longer than the lifespan of the W!! Why the hell would you want to spend MORE money on the W!! controllers to get rechargable capability thats slightly more convenient just because "X BOX had it..uh..why cant Nintendo do it?".

There are plenty of HD networks available that aren't widely carried because carriers don't have the bandwith (even Cable!) to offer them. MHD, Food Network/HGTV HD (DAMN), National Geographic HD, A&E HD (Waste of bandwith since the only HD Show is..surprise..CSI Miami) and a couple oddball others. The problem is that theres only so much content to offer in HD and the startup cost for an HD network is huge.

I doubt it, but as soon as my batteries that were included are run down Im going to use rechargables. Im already down 2 bars on the status thing already which sucks ass horribly. I went ahead and turned the rumble off..I left the speaker on though..

New Ultimatum. The bullpen better not allow 1 single run the whole season next year. This is absolutely rediculous. All the talk about spending money this offseason and its on relievers..the Bullpen WAS horrible last year (19-25, 5.25 ERA and 35 saves in 56 opportunities), but they didn't need to sign 5 guys to fix it (counting Wright who may/may not end up out there) If there is any good news, I suppose its that they will trade/release Bruce Chen, Russ Ortiz, Rodrigo Lopez who all have no spot now out in the bullpen and wont make the rotation. Apparently as well, Chris Ray is rumored to be trade bait and they could use Baez or Williamson in the closer role. I REALLY REALLY REALLY like Chris Ray though..so I hope thats not true.

How is an 7-0 (4 minutes away from possible 8-0) Maryland not a story? A win on the road vs Illinois (51 game non conference home winning streak) has to be impressive, despite how ugly all but the first 10 minutes or so have been for the Terps. This team is legit better than the 2002 championship team, and dare I say better than NC or Duke in the ACC.
