  1. Jarrett's wrestled everyone from Terry Funk to Vader, I doubt that Joe can do anything to him he hasn't experienced before. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> According to Steve Corino's ROH shoot, Jarrett backed out of an NWA World Title defense against Shinya Hashimoto because of his stiff striking, and ended up raising political hell through Bob Ryder to try and get out of a tag match where Samoa Joe was on the other end before finally making Zero-One up his plane ticket to Business Class in order to get him in for the match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought you were HTQ for a moment. JJ the wuss. Wheres Carnivalz
  2. You damn skippy. That white boy 50 cent jerry springer wannabee took the title off da man. Thank god for cheap. Cena would have just sunk lowere even farther. Which is very sad. I didnt get what you meant by this. I disagree, but I think our points are interrelated. (A) First, I don't think titles should be used to make someone a main eventer. At least not the main titles. I think a person needs to have a feud that gets them over to the point where the fans want to see them win the tile, or for heels, makes it believeable that they could be a threat. (B) The thing is, to get someone over, the title has to be on someone who is over. The feud is what gets people over, not the belt. If you feud with someone who's over, your crowd reaction is greater, fans pay attention to you, and you get more over. So as long as Cena jobs to someone other than HHH, there will probably be more interest in the new champ. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. A title should be used to intensfying a feud. You can have feuds just because you have the title and I want it and you can have feuds whereby its over some scrap and the title catches the eye as form of payback. (1) Theyve used that tatic this week on RAW with the Countout. (2) RVD/Angle was very mini, more of a sidestep look at me very quickly cause youll miss it feud.
  3. TE4 I think you mean. Paul Birchill? Are you telling me WWE signed Paul Birchill? If so that's cool as hell. He's like a cross between Mike Awesome and Brock Lesnar. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BurchIll and BUrchill. Dont insult the future god of wrestlng. Yes, and hes better than both. Ya damn skippy hes good. The guys been known to start matches in the UK by taking down his opponent and then nailing them with standing moonsaults and SSP. You forget to mention that he weighs 300 pounds. Awesome doesnt even do him justice. WWE will straight jacket him though. BURCHILL, BURCHILL, BURCHILL.
  4. I dont we will ever see Brock doing a SSP again after WMX19. As if everybody here wanted to know that.
  5. I meant who saw Cornette slapping whoever backstage. As in, with their own eyes maybe?
  6. Damn, were do you guys keep all those tapes.
  7. Plan B then. If he listens to nobody, have Steph choke it into him, cause I think he doesnt even listen to daddy-in-law. I agree with your nl5xsk1. I dont think hes going out of his way to be an ass. I really liked what HTQ said: "Basically, it all boils down to Hunter being willing and able to think long term, and realise that with his lock on the top spot assured for life, he can afford to do the kinds of things that are beneficial to business that other wrestlers wouldn't be able to do." I think he has a lot to offer the business apart from being in the top spot. Despite what people think here, I think that HHH is one of the better workers in the WWE when he puts his mind to it. I think it would be beneficial for him just watch development and lower card talent train and work in the ring. Give them tips and the sort. People cant deny the fact that he has one of the better bodies in the company (and please dont start a roid debate) cause he looks after himself. He could pass his knowledge of working out and eating right to others. Id like him to go to OVW and RoH, just watch the talent, take it out and scout. Let him attend booking meetings but he doesnt say a word. He just watches and listens. Maybe give him a pet project so that he just focused on getting this wrestler over, but his ideas can be squashed, make him wary of that fact. I think it would have a positive effect on development and lower card talent at RoH and especially OVW to know that somebody with Hunter's stature is watching them. I know that people are laughing their heads off after reading that paragraph, but I see HHH as having so much potential. It will never happen though.
  8. :S If they are portraying it as so, then yes, its good booking. But are they? And surely this makes him a heel. I wasnt referring to his weight. His style doesnt scream X Div to me though.
  9. For every folder check the pinned rules and theres also the http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?act=boardrules link.
  10. Source: www.tnawrestling.com I think JJ should really read what he says again and follow his own words of wisdom a bit more often.
  11. Good point, but surely this guy deserves to be fighting against the Ravens, Styles, Browns and Jarretts.
  12. http://tnawrestling.com/nosurrender/index.html Have just watched the 3 promos and the things which popped into my mind where the following: (1) If JJ is supposedly in the dog house and not on the card, why is he featured so much in the main No Surrender promo? (2) Does anybody else here think that the Styles-Waltman is more about Lynn then it is the competitors in the match? (3) Why must they always run the Ive beaten everybody line that Daniels used in the X Div promo? Why did Daniels give Petey a title shot so easily? Arent both Daniels and Petey heels? Has anybody ever kicked out of the Canadian Destroyer? Why must Canadian wrestlers use the sharpshooter as their secondary finisher? EDIT: And how come there was no Raven-Abyss promo? Maybe I am reading a bit too much between the lines, but that were my impressions after watching the promos.
  13. Pretty self explanatory really. Why is he in the X Div? Surely he is more suited to the ME. Can he go like a X Divisioner?
  14. I was going to stay replying to those posters here who still havent got the point that London has amplified this debate 10-fold. If you cant see that, I hate to think how you see other things. Hassan should have been portrayed from the start by saying that I love America and am against what Arabs did to this great country, but I am being stereotyped because of it and discriminated against due to my Arab descent. Have him debut, no turban, no Arab music, no Davairi spouting off. Have him show up on RAW and face Bischoff, who says, o god, I got you. Let Bischoff lay down the law saying he wants no monkey business from him. Dont have The King and JR playing as faces against him. Have him appear on the Highlight Reel and Jericho make fun of him. Hassan then says typical. Get Jericho start up a US chant. Hassan shouting I am American too, I wear American designer labels and shoes, what makes you different from me. Have Hassan trying to open Americas and the worlds eyes to what it is doing (for peoples information here, 1 of the 1st things Blair was that he didnt want London being taken out on innocent mulsims in the UK). Have Hassan wrestle against a non-US wrestler on RAW. The crowd starts to chant USA, USA, USA. Hassan thinks hes getting through to people. Then have somebody say they were chanting for you, ya sandman, they were chanting against you. Hassan states whats wrong with you people, Im more American than that other guy. Then have King and JR go heelish on him. Have Hassan collect evidence of how he is being mistreated, like a mid-card heel telling Hassan to get lost, we dont want your kind on RAW or in the locker room. Show Hassan driving alone, always alone backstage, or getting foord and another mid-card heel look at him with disgust and say Ive just lost my apetite. Trade him to SD, and have him go after the US Title. Not a draft or a lottery exchange, but Bischoff offloading him. Thats the way it should have been done. But its pretty pointless saying how it should have been 9 months or so down the line.
  15. I dont think I could pull it off. He has the whole finger chewing and retard eyes down pat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He played it to a T. Even my parents used to like watching him and they hate wrestling. Does HBK really need establishing? No, its not, but its good for 1 off.
  16. And who saw this if I may ask?
  17. People here still havent got what I am saying so whats the point in commenting even further.
  18. I like the idea for Lynn/Styles. As for Team Canada, yeah, they could get involved in Petey's match. That could make the title match more hard-fought, but I still see Daniels walking away the winner. Here's an idea for the AMW match. Maybe the Team Canada members are Young and Roode. They start to cheat, of course, which would lead Hoyt to come out and powerbomb Roode (or something, since he hates Roode) to help give AMW the win. After the match, Hoyt sticks around as Team Canada leave, thinking he's safe, but AMW get on the mic and yell at him that AMW doesn't need help getting a win. Hoyt gets beatdown and AMW leaves him lying. Attacking a beloved face like Hoyt is a good start at a heel turn, and could be a good fued for them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think its a given that somebody will get involved on Peteys behalf. Isnt that Team Canada's way of doing things, strength in numbers. The only time I wont see them getting involved in a PPV match is (1) they are trying to turn a member face or (2) they are teasing splitting them up. No doubt over who should win the match though. I like the AMW angle, but I think that they should go down a bit of a longer route, as to give them time without the belts and till a possible Dudleys signing. I think its a given that when they become full blown heels they would cheat to win. If anything, have Young and Roode wrestle on behalf of Team Canada, since I think thats their better combination. By all means have the beat down. Hoyt makes the save. Show AMW thanking Roode. Then at the next PPV, have AMW and Hoyt vs Team Canada (3 members). Either have team AMW and Hoyt win and then in the celebration they turn on Hoyt or during the match have them turn on Hoyt. One problem though Magus, AMW are facing Shane and Shelly at No Surrender and not Team Canada. Hence, the blaming of the other member. But its a good booking angle, and will take them to Sacrifice and Unbreakable. That would be the ideal PPV to turn them, and have them cheat to win at Bound for Glory. Then for Turning Point, the Dudleyz 90 days will be up and have them debut the show after B4G which shows AMW celebrating their big win. On another note, what entitles Team Canada to so many title shots? Rotating members? Yes, a teaching of lesson of sorts, but why would a face do that? 2 points (1) I dont think its wise to turn AJ now and (2) I would really like to see Styles-Lynn with a ton of heat. They could go the tweener then heel route, but I think that this should have the OMG shock factor. Id say hes cool with him. And yes, you did.
  19. I have no problem with a 6 match card, cause it gives each match more time, but I must say that the 2 above mentioned tag matches were indeed expected. I dont know when Shane and Shelly got together and am a bit disappointed that Shelly is getting the same treatment as Joe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh? Joe's undefeated in singles and being pushed as a monster, isn't he? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oooops, meant to type "... that Shelly isNT getting the ...". My bad.
  20. Ownage. How could it have taken them so long to put the belt on this guy.
  21. I hadn't heard anything about that. Anyone else? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC somebody here said he has a development deal with WWE and was working a few dark matches.
  22. Another reason to hate HBK.
  23. I think that from now on we should just call the WWE nonesenseland.
  24. LOL, very true.
  25. If they did that then shame on them. I dont think people can drop the hammer so heavily on them with respect to the first airing of the segment on Thursday. Which has been my argument, just to point that out.
