That sounds like getting through a lot of ground to me, especially from the RR to WM. I would have kept Orton as IC champ. Add to the legend killer world tour since Orton was getting decent pops to that but lose to Benoit without Evo running interferance for him. The next month Orton could be like, why werent you guys there for me and they pawn him off with lame excuses. Next month at Unforgiven, HHH gets another rematch vs Benoit some how. During the match they cut to the back showing Batista and Orton running to the ring. Orton stops. Batistas like coming on HHH needs our help. Orton like you werent there for me. HHH loses the title match. Goes balistic. 'Forgives' Randy. Refuses to help him in his IC matches and makes him defend it every RAW. A blown out Randy finally loses the title at Surviour Series. At Armageddon Randy releases that hes been a fool and nobodys dogs body and try to make HHH lose the title which hes won back again by now at Surviour Series. Enters the rumble. HHH stares on as Randy wins the rumble. Next night on RAW HHH tells Randy hell forget about Randy's actions if he pulls out of the WM ME. Randy obviously declines that option. I would have kept Evo together way beyond WMXX1 as well. Make HHH always pass comments up to NWO (yes, I know its SD PPV) by saying its best that Randy is in the ME so hell lie down for him. After a month Randy cuts the promo and pretty much turns on HHH. HHH is denial. Have Batista rough Randy up a bit. Watch as HHH gets frustrated with young Randell.

Are you familiar with what really happened in Montreal? Bret was screwed for the simple reason that it was agreed before that it would be a dusty finish and Bret would give up the title the next night on RAW. Bret had never done anything in his long WWE tenure to warrant people to doubt his word. Also, Bret never tapped to the hold. That means he never lost. Brets career pretty much went downhill from there. Bret also got screwed because Vince had promised him a ton of money and then defaulted on his agreement with him. I dont see where Bret was to blame in that. Vince lied to him in his face, cheated him and stole from him. For the UT to stay pounding on Vinces door shouting at him that he had to make things right does say something about the situation. Vince locked his brother into a contract and Vinces reps told Bret to back off when Bret tried to get Owen out of the WWE. We all know what happened to Owen. Bret was most probably without a doubt the top wrestler in the world at the time when all this went down. The request wasnt unreasonable because he a degree of creative control in his contract. That was agreed to in writing and the finish was booked before the match. People here seem to think that wrestling exists in a world were law and ethics have no role to play. Bret was the top star in the WWE at the time, hence the high price tag. I "worship" Bret as you like to put it because of what he achieved in the ring. He was a tradionalist and a purist. No, I would have run Orton losing and then a month of Orton asking Evo why werent they there for him. Then Orton loses the IC title Surviour Series and starts to get irate. Taker's match v. Angle in September 2003 was awesome. I also enjoyed his HIAC match v. Lesnar. And you're insane if you think HHH is better then Austin. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sept 03, which match was that? When people were saying that they should do a submission style match vs Angle? Yes, but you most probably enjoyed cause the UT got murdered by Brock and off the screen for a while. I just prefer HHHs ring work over Austins. Ive never liked Austins ring work. As a persona, I obviously prefer Austin and UT. For me it was the wrong ending so it ruined the match for me. The no DQ was bleuh IMHO.

The only match I liked of UT recently was that against Angle which set up the 3 way at Vengence vs The Rock (and thats going a way back isnt it). I have always said that I like Benoit vs Orton. But SCSA was an ass about it, took his ball and went home. I would have liked to have seen those matches. IIRC SCSA was going to be jobbed to Brock, but SCSA jumping ship resulted in Brock SD only. Brock as KotR was always planned. Regarding Nash, this is news to me. It is interesting though. HHH was getting comeback face heat, cause the E hyped it up like we would never see him again. The HHH-HBK thingy did seem a bit rushed to set up SummerSlam. Would have been interesting cause that means that Steiner would have, from the looks of things gone to SD as a heel. I like the way HHH just draws big men to himself. The short term effect of this was above average HHH-HBK and Brock-Rock matches at SummerSlam. The long term effect was bleh. Btw, I too would have preferred Hogan-SCSA at WMX18, but who would have Rock faced? Its obvious that it was Rock-Hogan cause of the Hollywood connection, would have made even more sense if Rock-Hogan was in Hollywood though.

Just if in case Ive been misinterpreted and to clarify. The only time I would have Eddie face CWs is either in a 6 Man Lucha Libra Match (Eddie, Juvi and Chavo/Psi/Crazy vs Rey, London and Akio) or in a 10 (Eddie, Chavo and the Mexicools vs Rey, London, Akio, Kidman and somebody else, maybe a traded Tajiri or Nunzio as a hired hand?) Classic Surviour Series Elimination Match. Ive always wanted to such see a CW style match in the E. Eddie is not interested in the CWC and is not being booked as so. He has attacked CWs though because (a) the E uses them as cannon fodder and (b) because they remind him of Rey. This means that CWs have beef with Eddie (something losely along the lines of Dean Malenko and Chad Collyer IIRC). Eddie and Rey are not feuding for the title. Its a blood vendetta. But CWs are and will get drawn into it. I just think that they should let London for example have a crack at Eddie and use this to drag out Eddie-Rey. It wouldnt make sense for Eddie to just drop this and go for the SDT (cause at this point, thats what theyve got). If Batista were to go to SD, I wouldnt want to see Eddie in the title picture for a while and I think this is the ticket for him not to be. I think he should have been a post-summer contender vs Cena, and come to think about it I would like to see Eddie vs Orton, cause IMHO Orton is the best bumper their is or Eddie vs Benoit done the only way it should be, for the WHC. I always wanted to see Eddie vs Jericho too. Thats my dream match. It wouldnt make sense for Rey to go for the SDT/WHC either. I know people here would love to see it, but I cant see the E doing that cause its not realistic and people wouldnt buy into him holding it for a prolonged period of time. IMHO him holding it would result in him looking during and after his reign. This blood vendetta may be the only way he gets a shot, whereby Eddie wins the SDT/WHC very quickly and surprisingly (cheating to win) and the title is thus drawn into the feud. I can see them doing this with the USC also, to add a little bit of spice to things. But the CWC should never be the focus of the fued. And I dont think it currently is or will be for that matter.

Your not the only one. I think SummerSlam would have been too early for it though, since its the proper stage for the Eddie-Rey blowoff if they could draw it out that long. If not, then yes Eddie-Cena. I still prefer Eddie using the Mexicools and Chavo to get Rey off him. At 1st have Chavo side with Rey since the Mexicools had a go at him. Eddies the saddist and Reys the avenger who will stoop to any level to destroy Eddie (or at least until the ME of last weeks SD that is). They could have had a lucha libra 6 way at GAB (Eddie and 2 of the Mexicools vs Rey, Chavo and London), with Eddie getting injured. Rey Rey could have faced Juvi at SummerSlam. Chavo could have been playing a tweener till then, but realises that blood is thicker than water. Make him special guest referee or something. He beats Rey up after Rey beat Juvi. Eddie returns to take out out Rey. RVD returns. Have Eddie and RVD brawl. At No Mercy, its Eddie vs RVD, Chavo vs Rey Rey and the Mexicools vs London, Kidman and Tajiri. At Surviour Series have a streetfight between Eddie and Rey or a 10 man elimination Match. Could have then run Eddie winning the rumble after using tables, ladders, chairs, etc... since they are legal in that match and then going after Cena. Just when they started to mean something. When Eddie had just become US Champ, IIRC it cultimated in a parking lot brawl.
