Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has

Didnt Am Drag leave ROH? -
The Angle Slam has never really impressed me that much. I prefer tight submission holds and moves which throw somebody around the ring with a crash landing, and slightly weaker is they have a bridge to a pin. I prefer those with the set-ups, cause they can be reveresed, although we have seen the RKO reveresed. I think Austin sold the stunner best. I think the Tista bomb is more death than the Tombstone and the Pedigree is.

Yeah and the Maivia kid right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A couple will know a think or 2 about the UT, IMHO.
-
You either dont care about things or feel really passionately about them either way. People will disagree with you there. The WHC is a 'better' title than the WWE title because it is a World Title and is billed as so, whilst the WWE title is promoted as a companys title. I know anybody might say that im nitpicking, but thats the way I have always seen it. Kurt was brought to RAW cause he was bloody boring on SD. Hes fought everbody there in extended programmes. I have a sinking feeling that Christy is going to have amensia and fall for somebody and become a naive blue eyed girl. :S

How could I forget about sting. Isnt Marty Jannetty wrestling on the indies? Didnt the WWE resign him?
-
Just to clear things up, I said WWE should have allowed The Outlaw the right to use the name Billy Gunn, given his long years of service. IIRC, he didnt leave on a bad foot. VKM knows how important that name would be to him on the Indy circut to earn a living. Billy Gunn is not going to overthrow the WWE. It would have been nice if VKM would have let him use it. I never mentioned TNA. ...just remembered, VKM is generally not a nice guy.

I think the concept of an actual match is not copyright-able, WCW, whilst it never used the Royal Rumble concept (TNA has though), has used the HIAC gimmick, most notably at Souled Out 2000- they called it a 'Caged Heat' match though.... WWE on the other hand seems to tend not to use WCW gimmick matches such as wargames or the triple cage because Vince doesn't think they are his creations and therefore thy ae not very good! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> TNA call it a guantlet and its 20 men not 30, so its not technically the same thing.

Just picked out a few things you said worth commenting on. This is how RAW will go down if HHH loses HitC. DAMMIT, I DESERVE A TITLE SHOT, BISCHOFF. Bischoff tells him that Batista is now of SD. HHH goes off in a huff. Cue later. Carlito is walking out to the ring to defend his IC title. Hunter pushes him off the ramp and then cuts a 10 minute promo on how the WHC is his. Then Flair spots a Chaing Gang sign in the crowd. WAIT CHAMP, THERES ANOTHER CHAMPION ON RAW. HHH considers it, its not his title on his show afterall. DAMMIT, I WAS SO SHORT-SIGHTED, I KNEW THE ANSWER ALL ALONG, I COULD HAVE BECOME THE 2 TIME UNDISPUTED CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. He calls Cena out. Makes his bitch and boi. After Match 231, which is a 3 out of 5 falls, 1st fall is an I Quit Match, 2nd fall is Streetfight, 3rd is a Steel Cage match, 4th is a Dumpster Match and the 5th is a Ladder Match, HHH becomes WWE Champion. Regarding the Cabina, thats the 1st thing I thought. Hunter has already done his good deed of the decade by giving Benji a kind of push. You people ask for way too much. Respect the champ. HBK maybe, but Benji would have to turn heel to garner heat. The holy one doesnt do heel anymore. Regarding the fillers, o yes they will. Diva Tennis anybody?
-
And he was a face when he came over to RAW. In fact, I believe he messed up his shoulder (which led to RNN and the heel turn) trying the move on Christian and botching it badly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is correct.
-
Yes, thats a fantastic idea. And are you a lawyer nominating yourself to defend Tracy Smothers when JBL and the E charges him for assualt and sues him?
-
And why not the other way round? About the names, the fans are popping even though they are not called Mr Ass and Road Dogg. They know who they are. VKM though could have let The Outlaw use Billy Gunn though at least, given the number of years of loyal service.
-
I agree. I like the way people in this forum things that wrestling exists in a vaccuum. I vote for 2 90 min shows on different channels if possible or 1 2 hour show. I dont think that they are ready for a 2 hour show, a show that could get dragging. Different channels (Spike, FSN or whatever and the syndicate of Xplosion) would garner them exposure, whilst they will be more sharp and to the point (hopefully).

Hes also the hunter, as in like a hunter in the jungle. Hence the animal references and leopard skin trunks.

Really now? Because I am sick of reading that Bret would never do that but despite all the assurances VKM still had fits. All it takes is VKM to get out his chequebook and say CMP, how much is going to cost you to shit on the ROH title. You think that is beyond VKM? It wasnt beyond WCW. Youd be surprised what people can do when money is on the table. I dont think he would but... ROH is known by fans alot more than you think. Technically speaking yes, unless there is a clause in his contract to the contrary or this was contemplated before he actually signed it. If there is no clause in his contract then he is an employee of the E and does what his boss, VKM, tells him to do. If he doesnt want to and since his name is not HHH, UT or possibly Angle, then he breaks his contract. Then he can get sued. What else would you call Mick Foley and The Rock in early '99, one of the hottest-drawing periods in wrestling's entire history? This is NOT a big deal. This is NOT the downfall of the company starting right before your eyes. Christ, how fucking stupid do you think the ROH bookers are? Do you seriously think that they'd let Punk job out their champ and then not have him lose the belt in the ring at an ROH show? They KNOW what kind of damage that would do to their prestige. Of course they do, EVERYONE does. Vince didn't let Bret leave the WWF without losing the belt, and Gabe sure as hell ain't letting CM fucking Punk leave ROH without jobbing that title either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was a prolonged feud, when a title changes hands it is normally due to a feud. IMHO this was not booked as a feud. This was a shot in a dark, and relatively speaking, compared to Joe, his title reign was not that noteworthy TO ME. Please dont be naive, it all depends on the contract that CMP has signed with the E and when it becomes active. VKM hasnt signed it with Gabe, hes signed it with Punk. If no ROH dates are contemplated in the contract, then its up to VKMs discretion as to whether CMP can defend and not precious Gabe. Heres a thought, if VKM, wonders of wonders, decides to be an asshole about it, hell just "Tell Gabe to fuck Gabe" to quote what he said about Sabu, somebody that he wanted on his show, let alone somebody he considers as being a incy wincy fly. I hope it works out for ROH, cause its a good angle. Its just the problem I have with is that its a bit risky, since the ball is not, or may not be, entirely in the hands of ROH. ROH has already been burned by contracts in the past.

Off the top of my head, I would have to say Shane Douglas.
-
I dont think so, especially since Raven opted for Hardcore Homecoming over ONS.
-
My point exactly. Im sorry, but when I speak it is always IMO, so no need to get your knickers in a twist. Try to read between the lines and not take everything at face value. The concept of transitional champion is relative. I think 10 years down the line people will be saying o yeah I remember Joe, didnt he hold the ROH title for like ages. Then you say, yeah, but who was that guy who took it off him. For me, that was rushed booking, there wasnt the epic build to that match. IMHO I thought that anybody who was going to win it off Joe was Punk. I believe its streching to compare Aries to Joe. Dont get me wrong, I think Aries is a great wrestler but Joe added credibility to the belt and had way better angles (Punk series, Homicide anybody?). The closest parellel we have to this is Brock-Goldberg. The title should never be vacant. And the person leaving should not win the belt. I personally hate the wrestler is leaving or injured angle and therefore its a foregone conclusion that he will drop the belt . And I think the no problem, lets have a tourney answer is lame. I just think that it should have been done the other way round. Its a wasted angle, of Punk cutting that promo and then rushing out of there, unless he can come back, hence my stating that WWE guys have wrestled on ROH. I just think its lame that Punk may hold the title for a maximum of a month. Technically he can start on RAW or SD or wherever, and shit on the ROH title if he wants to. That will look real good now wont it. And dont say hell never do that, because of VKM opens his cheque book, CMP will be doing a HBK.
-
The NWA Title. I think its the most pretigious belt in the world and looks cool with all the flags and being streamlined and all. Doesnt look to out of place on a smaller wrestler neither.
-
What I mean is, nothing of his reign was noteworthy and worth remembering.

Stables, who got the most out of them and who was

Ha. The Hart family is wrestling's equivalent of the Kennedys <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Finally, somebodys said what I was looking for. In reallity, not just in the ring, the Hart Foundation has jinxed its members. Owen, Bulldog and Pillman are gone Bret cant wrestle any more. And god knows whats happend to Anvil. -
He didnt make much waves. I think your reaching a bit comparing him to Joe, Punk or Daniels.
-
I dont think so. JJ's been a very naughty boy from the looks of things and hes going to be in the mid-card for a while. I just hope that they let Brown destroy him first. Future oppenents for Raven: Styles, Waltman (yes, he does have a story with Raven), Brown, Abyss and Daniels. Thats what I see for now. Joe isnt a regular yet. Give him time.
-
Hell make sure that you know about his long reign.
-
It would, cause Benoit is non-ROH. You dont put guest appearances over your regulars. You should never book that. Especially if the guy is your champ. Punk no sold man, how much worse could it be for Aries. Hes a transitional champ, such champs always look bad. And so is Punk. You dont have 2 transitional champs, one after another. What I am saying is, it would have made more sense, if Joe lost it to Punk in their last match, say in the 70th minute and then Punk losing it to Aries like a month ago. From were im standing at the moment, it looks like ROH have dropped the ball. Get over it.
-
And whats new about that. Come on, wrestling is a dangerous sport. Throwing around a human being can lead to accidents. His gimmick is that hes extreme. And I cant remembering him busting that many people open, but what do you expect, if hes always in hardcore matches at that time.
