Yeah the whole 'definition of Shotgun' interview killed me. They've done that a few times in the series and it's always gold. Like when Michael describes to the camera what BFF means, or the time he starts talking about what TMI means (too much information) and claims he invented it. Awesome episode overall but the high point for me was the car trip where Dwight finds the liquor and Jim starts spraying him and Michael with the spray bottle. That or the very end when Michael shoves his foot into the CAT scan machine.

Say, wasn't there some show about Superman as a kid or something? Mighta been on the WB? Can't seem to remember... God I hate the like 6 week breaks shows do over Christmas these days.
-
God it's so true.
-
Yeah, but they didn't really do anything. The two of them were just kind of 'there' when the two super-omnipotent 'brothers' were about to clash and destroy everything. Then all of a sudden the 'brothers' saw the lives of Bruce Wayne and Steve Rogers and decided that if these two mere mortals could be so great then each of the universes was 'worthy' or some crap like that.

Finally read the 3rd issue which came out last week, and it was freaking amazing. Just like the other two issues. This series has me completely captured, always wondering what's coming up. I loved Joker's reaction to not being a part of whatever plan is going on. Him talking about being locked up in Arkham was priceless as well: "I can leave here whenever I want. You know that! I only stay here for as long as I think it's funny! And it's not funny anymore." If you're not reading this series yet, it's totally worth picking up.

I'm guessing that since , he had the ability to get in and out at his will. The part of that issue that confuses me was the 'Dick Grayson' line in the conversation between Superman and Batman. It could be interpreted many different ways, none of which make any sense. Otherwise, another solid issue with some very interesting developments. We better start getting some answers to the whole space war/cataclysm soon because it's starting to feel dragged out. Any theories as to what the rebuilt demensional tuning fork will be used for, and why each of the people are strapped in to it? Assuming he puts Power Girl in there and they get NightShade, they have representatives of all 5 of the Earths that were absorbed (if you count the Ray as his predecessor) plus Lady Quark and Breach.

Hey hey hey. Majority? There's you and Metal Maniac saying that Juggernaut would beat Superman. And Justice was just defending Juggernaut's abilities, a couple pages ago he said Superman would probably win. That's it. That is no majority.

What movies will you be going to see in 2006?
ZGangsta replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
What have you heard? Well first off, Ratner's not a good director. And Bryan Singer and the writers had a clear 3rd movie mapped out, but then they went to do Superman Returns and Fox got mad. See Singer was going to do Superman and then the 3rd X-Men movie afterwards, but Fox got petty and said 'screw you Bryan we're going to get a different team to make X3 and realease it before Superman Returns.' So the movie actually has a pretty rushed shooting schedule and isn't going to receive the care it needs. Another problem is Halle 'worst part of the other X-Men movies' Berry. She bitched up a storm and threatened to quit unless Storm got a much bigger part, and the studio bowed down to her. So look forwared to much more crappy acting in this one and stupid crap like The script leaked and although it was a first draft, supposedly all of the major plot points remain. So , the main conflict is rather pedestrian and is a 'been there, done that' sort of issue, and characters like Nightcrawler just don't appear at all in the movie. Oh and Juggernaut looks really crappy (you can see him in the trailer). But then again, the trailer looked pretty bad-ass, so who knows? -
Very good call there. Whoa whoa whoa.... I'll have you know that Dazzler is the awesomenest... no I can't do it Dazzler sucks. Anyways agree to disagree sounds fine. Off-topic, has anyone seen what Juggernaut looks like in X3? Lame. It's just a tall guy in a really bad looking muscle suit and a really really gay outfit. And I think he's just a standard strong muitant as well. It's too bad cause they could have sone some awesome stuff with that character in a movie setting.
-
Yeah, but I think you have to take physics out of it when one of the guys powers is that he specifically breaks Newton's 2nd law through magic. Oh and could Superman just rip his gay little gem out of him like Onsluaght did?
-
No dood~! Teh JUGGERNAUT iz teh bestest comicz charcatr of ALL TIMEZ!!1! He can ezily beats teh sooperman~! So anyways, I was rereading DC vs Marvel from the 90s today (fyi Superman knocks down Juggernaut with 1 punch. Er, but then you don't see what happen to him after that) and man did it suck. It has like the lamest possible storyline. The dialog sucks. Like none of the characters actually act like themselves, more like lame stereotypes of themselves. And NOTHING HAPPENS. The 'big fights' are all the exact same thing: "I don't want to fight you" "Me neither but the fate of my universe depends on it" "I know, in another situation we could be allies" 2 shitty panels of fighting victor: "I take no pleasure in this victory. I wish we could have been friends" Except Jubilee/Robin, but that was even lamer. And who the fuck voted for Storm to beat frikin' Wonder Woman? Oh yeah, and the first page of the series of course opens with Ben Fucking Riley, which reminded me that the Clone Saga was going on and put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Damn clone saga. Pssh, easily monkey, do I need to even explain why?

Yeah, there's no way House of M was better than Villians United unless you're the markiest of Marvel marks, which IGN definately isn't, given that Marvel didn't even get runner-up in Best Publisher.

Definately seeing: V for Vendetta Superman Returns The Fountain Hmm, all 3 are comic book movies...(well The Fountain was a movie pitch first, then a graphic novel, and finally a movie) X3 I'm not sure about. I loved X2, but with Bret Ratner helming this and the things I've seen and heard so far, it just doesn't inspire me with confidence about the movie. Pirates 2 could be awesome, but I don't know much about it yet. -
Here it is: IGN Best of 2005 Comics So I can pretty much agree with most of those awards. Even if I did hate thier 'Best Miniseries' winner House of M. But DC won 'Publisher of the Year' (Image was the runner up instead of Marvel which is weird), and Ultimates 2 won 'Best Ongoing series' so I'm happy.

Yeah, I thought the fact that we're talking about comic book characters should have made that comment seem tongue-in-cheek. Oh, and for the record, I don't actually think Juggernaut is a 'Scrub Magneto Lacky' I just thought it sounded funny. As for Bats v Spiderman, discarding the 'Batman beats anyone' rule, this would be the most interesting battle. Even when you take 'politics' and popularity into account I don't know who would win. Kraven could only win if he didn't pussy out and kill himself first.
-
I just think it's pointless arguing this because anyone who thinks that a scrub Magneto lacky like Juggernaut could beat fucking SUPERMAN is clearly delusional, so just move on.
-
Anyone who decides to come into a discussion about 'worst song of the year' and declares that it is 'Any song by insert-popular-modern-rock-band-here' is a douchebag. And besides could anything have been worse than 'My Humps,' anything?
-
Oh for God's sake, it's SUPERMAN. Does anyone really think that he'd have trouble with Juggernaut? I mean Juggernaut's tough and all, but he's kinda B-list to be giving Superman issues. He's no Doomsday, and hell, Superman defeated him (er, so it was kinda a tainted victory since Supes died and all). As for Deathstroke vs Wolverine? Deathstroke's my boy and I love him, but I give this one to Wolverine.
-
Says the guy who misspelled 'versus.' Just joking But yeah, it's pointless to include Batman in any of these. I mean, Batman always wins. It's now ingrained into pop-culture continuity that Batman can win a fight against anyone. And I mean ANYONE. Superman, Doomsday, Galactus, the Sun, anyone. But seriously, without the rediculous 'Batman can beat anyone' bias, I still believe he could beat Daredevil becasue, as someone else said, he'd use Daredevil's super sensitive senses against him. With Batman it all comes don to how much preparation he can do, and whether he has a contingency plan for if he ever has to go up against whomever it is. Like he could take Wolverine if he knew he was coming and had the time to build or get ahold of a giant electromagnet.

Teaching Intelligent Design Found Unconstitutional
ZGangsta replied to Ace309's topic in Current Events
Basketweaving! BASKETWEAVING? You sanctimonious son of a bitch. Teaching basketweaving in schools is an insult to people of faith everywhere. Baskets are FAR too complex to have been 'weaved' as you put it. Clearly there is some higher, more omnipotent force that is responsible for the all baskets in God's glorious universe. I call for all the good responsible citizens to rise up and protect American families from this 'basketweaving' nonsense being taught in our schools, and join me in lobbying the school boards to introduce Intelligen Basket Creation as an alternative. -

SNL "Lazy Sunday" Link from Last Night...
ZGangsta replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in Television & Film
Freakin' Amazing! That was so awesome. "Pass the Chronic-WHAT-cles of Narnia" deserves to go down into the pop culture phrase lexicon as much as "needs more cowbell" has. "I love those cupcakes like McAdams love Gosling" "2 no 6 no 12 BAKER'S DOZEN" "You can call us Aaron Burr from the way we're droppin' Hamiltons" All brilliant. I seem to remember another rap featuring Chris Parnell about his date with Britney Spears a few years ago that killed me as well. -
Shit yeah, I remember all that stuff. The old Smarks board and site, the yellow board, the 'hackmaster' situation, good stuff. And check it, less than 250 posts (on this board at least) to show for it. But man oh man was that 'Maurizio C' guy classic.

Man, that Lexmas episode was awesome! I mean, a weird Alternate Future where Lex Luthor is marred to Lana Lang. Superman playing Santa Clause using his superspeed to deliver presents and then talking what may have been the real Santa Clause out of killing himself. It was like an issue of one of the Superman comics out of the fuckin' Silver Age. Awesome! And with a dark ending that builds up Luthor as a bad guy to boot.

Haven't been to the comic book store in ages, so I went today to try and get All-Star Superman, but they were all sold out. Instead I picked up the Superman:Birthright trade. I've heard good things about it and have necer read it. Absoulte Watchmen, or is that not out yet?
