  1. FWIW, there was one match on RAW a couple weeks prior to No Way Out '03 which was even better, where Jericho carried Jeff like a backpack, to one of the better matches I've seen. They clicked very well, with Jericho just barely squeezing by with a pin. With the HORRIBLE matches Jeff was putting on week in and week out at the time, I always considered it a testament to just how good Jericho is. RAW was indeed a bit of a chore to sit though, and I found myself getting bored and flipping to TBS to watch the same overplayed Family Guy reruns from time to time. Kofi/Punk vs Rhodes/Manu was actually pretty good. Manu showed some major agility with the height he got on the corner splash. I don't really buy Cody as a threat to anyone, but he has improved by leaps and bounds over the past year. The DX-Shopzone segment was great! When kept to short spurts like that, DX is always entertaining. I got a laugh out of Kane saying, "I love these fans, and they love me!". I don't know if they're trying to turn Kane face for the 1000th time, or if it's just playing into his crazy person character. Dolph Ziggler's debut was a lot of fun. He and Batista put on a decent match, that surprisingly, wasn't a squash. Dolph has some unique offense, and I was kind of surprised at how much offense they let him get on the hometown hero. I'd like to see more of him. I'm liking Melina using the "Code Red" as a finisher. It's a hell of a lot better than that HogLog she used to use. I always laugh when WWE advertises Kane for a match against anyone, like the guy is actually a threat, or has a chance of winning. You're pretty damned delusional if you think Kane is going to get a win over my favourite wrestler of all time John Cena. Speaking of my favourite wrestler of all time John Cena, up until Priceless and Orton ran in, I was getting pretty pissed that they had him handing Jericho's ass to him, AGAIN. I know Jericho is supposed to be a chickenshit heel, but let the guy do something to Cena. Also, Cena was no selling everything Priceless and Orton were throwing at him until Jericho hit some miracle move from behind, and Orton hit his Death DDT. Orton's back had to be feeling GREAT after that one! Cena locked in the Liontamer was a great way to close the show. It'd be nice if Jericho went back to using the Liontamer, as opposed to the Walls of Jericho, more often. Same move, but better visual presentation.
  2. A couple weeks back, I was playing Jericho's RtWM. When the masked man did the run in, my girlfriend got a look at the eyes under the mask and immediately said " ". I already knew it was supposed to be him, but for her to have no real prior knowledge of the game, I thought it was pretty funny. Honestly, this game could have been nothing more than Create a Finisher, and it would have been worth the price to me. I've had more fun with that feature alone (as limited as it may be), than most full games I've picked up over the past year or so.
  3. According to Wikipedia (you know how reliable that can be from time to time) Midway currently has the publishing and/or development rights to the following: First things first, we need to get a sequel to Psi-Ops under development. Like someone else said, the rights to the Mortal Kombat series, alone, would be worth the price. Maybe we could even get Killer Instinct 3 off the ground.
  4. Well, I've had my PC for a little over 4 years, and I figure now is the time to start looking into a few small upgrades. The main thing I want to upgrade is my video card, though with the age of my motherboard, I am a little concerned with just how much of an upgrade I will be able to get. I installed a trial version of EVEREST, and below is some information on my Motherboard This is some information on the Video card I have I don't know if this information is enough to go on, but if it isn't, I will try to provide more. I figure I probably won't have some graphical powerhouse like Crysis running anytime soon, but any information on a more recent video card (if you think one is even needed) would be great. Thanks in advance!
  5. Rikishi was extremely over at the time, though. More so than anybody that you just mentioned. I'll agree. There was a time when Rikishi was close to, if not the top face on the roster as far as crowd response is concerned.
  6. If any of you guys want to start a fund to buy the company, I'm in!
  7. HEY, DID YOU GUYS HEAR?!?!?!?! JOHN CENA MAY BE GETTING NEW ENTRANCE MUSIC!
  8. My parents have always been indifferent to the whole thing. My mom shoved it down my throat from Day 1 that it was"all fake", though. Speaking of my mother, she still to this day insists that Kevin Nash is a "fine example of a man".
  9. It may have been against Boss Man, but I remember him doing it on an episode of RAW towards the end of 1999 as well. Late-1999 Big Show was interesting to say the least. They had him doing all these different moves that you rarely see a man of his size do. I remember an AWESOME match (if someone could provide a download link, I would be eternally grateful) he had with Viscera on RAW where he busted out a Missle Dropkick for the win. It wasn't as graceful as as any given Cruiserweight's take on the move, but for his size, it was borderline-amazing.
  10. Best pic so far. Damn, I didn't even recognize that as Andre. He's in truly amazing shape in that photo.
  11. Well, FWIW, theres a John Cena theme set to be on WWE The Music Vol. 9 called "Movin' Up". Maybe WWE is thinking of ditching "The Time is Now". There's also a track listed for Jericho called "Save Me", so maybe WWE is going to take the plunge and finally move past his Y2J theme. Personally, I wouldn't mind WWE using the theme Jericho uses in SVR 2009, but that's just me.
  12. THEY'RE COMING!!!!! I'll take the 5 pack!
  13. I missed Smackdown this past week, so I have a couple questions for those that saw it. Any sign of the Rated-R Spinner? One set of spoilers I read on Rajah, said something about Triple H hitting a "Reverse Pedigree" on Shelton Benjamin to get the pin? The reporter may have just gotten his facts mixed up.
  14. I'm still waiting for the Buck Rogers Lightning Gun that Elmer Fudd used to hunt Bugs Bunny in the far away land of 2000~!
  15. Bolt is well worth a watch. Rhino (hamster) OWNS that movie.
  16. Rocky Series Rocky - Greatest boxing movie of all time. Rocky IV - I LOVE this film, (mainly due to it throwing believability right out the window) but it's really more of a 90-Minute music video. I bought the soundtrack in 2001, and still have it around here somewhere. Rocky II - A highly respectable follow-up to the original. Rocky Balboa - The perfect way to end the series. Rocky has his dignity, and goes back to his normal life. Rocky III - A bit homoerotic at times, but an OK movie nonetheless. Rocky V - We don't like to talk about this one. The first Predator film is pretty good. I enjoyed the stalker aspect, and how helpless the rescue team was. The second one is just OK, but there's really nothing more I can say about it. It was the first Predator film I ever saw, but it hasn't aged well. We won't talk about the turd on a stick that was AVP. Still haven't watched the sequel.
  17. I didn't really consider Randy Marsh. Even though he's been shown to be a bit of a goober in recent seasons. I was asking a friend after one of the more idiotic things Randy did this past Season, "isn't this guy supposed to be a Geologist?". Regarding Family Guy, you also have to take a look at the Quahog Doctor. In the first Season, or perhaps the Second, Peter thought he may have had Cancer, so he went to the Doctor. The Doctor said something about "what do I know? I've been sued by every patient I've ever had! ". Then, when the show was brought back, Peter went to the Doctor for a Prostate exam, and promptly sued the Doctor for sexual harassment / rape. The Doctor then went into a frenzy trying to protect his good name, but eventually lose a court case due to the Judge having memories of being "raped" by the Doctor.
  18. I hate to reply to an old post, but seriously, what's the story here? A fat ugly chick married a skinny military dude. The End. Hmmm, for some reason, I thought there would be more to it than that. I showed these pics to my girlfriend the other day and she was having trouble believing that was actually a girl. But, we've already had that discussion. Oh well.
  19. I hate to reply to an old post, but seriously, what's the story here?
  20. I thought he wasn't REALLY retarded, but just very... open about what he says/does, that it doesn't mesh with what psychologists would consider "normal". In fact, it seems to me that Peter is just a fun-loving anarchist in a way. I dunno. Theres been a few instances on Family Guy where Peter has actually been shown to be borderline legally-retarded. An example would be the episode where they're all sitting around the table playing Trivial Pursuit, and Lois has to give Peter the preschool-version questions. He even struggled with the question she gave him.
  21. Looks like the academy was just "witch hunting" for a reason to not give it a nomination, IMO.
  22. That certainly sounds interesting. I'll have to give that show a look. After seeing Walton play Shane for the past 7 years, it's going to be odd to see him in another role. It's kind of like watching him in 'House of 1000 Corpses', and seeing him just sit there and let Otis blow his head off. It's such an 'out of character' moment to see him sit there in a helpless position.
  23. Good God, Scott Steiner was over as all hell in that clip. He just about ripped Nowinski's head off!
  24. I owned Final Fantasy Chronicles, but never played Chrono Trigger. I also owned the Super Ninteno version, mint in box, but sold it for a massive profit before playing it. In closing, I've never played it. Back in 2001, when Switchhouse.com or whatever it was called was still up, a friend of mine traded his copy of Quest 64 for Chrono Trigger (cartridge only) and the Official Strategy Guide. He still to this day calls that the greatest deal he's ever made.
  25. Anyone watch the Macy's Parade? RICK ASTLEY made a surprise appearance on the "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" float:
