I think the long and short (emphasis on long) of this is that we've found out that we cannot fix him. Marvin, you need help, this is not healthy. You are not mentally healthy. You're not well. If you had a light fever, you would be dealing with it in your way, this is something like that. You're unwell, deal with it. Get counseling, get a psychologist. Marvin's problems, directly, have little to do with his baldness / "ugly" or whatever. He's afraid, terrified of trying. He doesn't know what it might be like to kiss a girl, what it might be like to have to take her top off, what it would be like to have to get naked in front of her, what it would be like to get rejected, should that happen. By doing nothing he risks absolutely nothing. Absolutely. And its safe and easy. His problem is: he's upset because he's not had any intimate contact with the opposite gender. And yet he's more afraid than upset.
