That was terrible. Orlando Fucking Jordan?! WHO CARES! Why not use Stamboli.. at least he has a gimmick. Use Funaki.. at least he has charisma. Use Nunzio, at least he has a gimmick, and he's funny. Hell use Yang, at least he can wrestle. Hell Billy Gunn is better than Orlando Jordan! WTF! FRIG, I would rather of brought back Stephanie McMahon. This is utter bullshit! Let's job RENE DUPREE to orlando jordan, the guy we debuted before and no one cared about.. reminds me of jon heidenreich. Heh, guess what people.. looks like those rumours are true of WWE bringing back The Cat:S

I've only seen two matches so far, cuz I was watching on an off. CENA vs RVD was a very good match and I absolutely loved the finish.... RVD is now prime to say in the division, not getting defeated by the f-u and who knows maybe he'll get a SS match against Charlie Haas or something? That wouldnt be all that bad. LONDON and KIDMAN vs THE BASHAMS was a great match IMO. The action was non stop.. would of liked the match to have lasted longer, but the match was intense and AWESOME. Great match IMO, and for a midcard TV match, **** easily. Now if that was on PPV, it would still be a great match, just too short. What was it around 6 minutes? KIDMAN and LONDON have great chemistry together. It really is a shame WGTT split up because given 20 minutes, that could easily have gotten MOTY. Although THE BASHAMS or THE F.B.I. could easily take the place of WGTT and still put on a great match.

Alex Wright vs Ultimo Dragon from Fall Brawl 1997 was a great match which IMO never gets it's dues. One of the best TV Title matches in the HISTORY of WCW, and could even challenge to be one of the best. I'm sure Benoit/Booker and Martel had some matches that MAY of challenged it, but this was an amazing match.. that I would love to see again. A few other matches were very good and are underrated.. One match I really enjoyed but doesnt seem to ever get mentioned is KURT ANGLE vs CHARLIE HAAS from Smackdown of 03. Same goes for Christian vs Jericho from RAW in 03. Two fabolous matches.

I think more or less what he meant by no Mongo, was that on the DVD Extras (hopefully 10+ matches) That we dont have to sit through a Mongo match. I've love to see the old War Games match 2 Flair Matches 2 Tully Matches 1 Anderson Match then 1-2 matches with the 2nd version (w/ Windam) 1-2 matches with the Horsemn w/ Lex then A Benoit/Malenko tag match or something from the horsemen in 1998ish. Anyone else gonna want an Evolution DVD after they break up? There's not much backstory.. but they could have each guy chip their thoughts on how they got into the business and then what they thought of each match. The EXTRAS (matches) would kick total ass.
-
Wow.. I really dislike this guy already.. He's points are absolute shit. if Guerrero got pushed for the Latino Market, then how come you didnt say Jericho got pushed for the Canadian Market.
-
Gimme a break... First of all, London can cut great promos. Watch ROH, his voice is easy on the ears. Seconds of all, Paul London was trained by Michaels.. he has connections. Dunno if he wants it that way.. but he's going to get a fair shot with the company cuz of Shawn. Third, There's lotsa small Champs nowadays. Jericho, Angle, Benoit, Guerrero..
-
Are you retarded?! Explain your damn reasons why London should not be Champ.
-
See.. It's people like you that give us champions like JBL and Taker and So On... Your S/N is CBenoit.. but a blind man could see his talent.. London is amazing, and damn... if your not going to support him.. I'd hate to see the business you ran.
-
I agree with you 100%... Especially about WWE Buying into him. London is one of the best wrestlers today.. He can Brawl, wrestling Technically, High Fly, Tell a good Story.. he's great. But the only way WWE is going to buy into him is if he gets a huge fanbase.. which I hope happens. The Next Big Thing really is Randy Orton. But if WWE was smart.. they would be biling Charlie Haas one of the future greats.. instead of making him job out all the time. Damn them.

nova being turned into a richard simmons wannabe huh. My prediction= funny for a few weeks, dull afterwards. Kind of like Rico.

Alex Wright? Oh My God.. I would mark out like Crazy!!
-
With all those matches does anyone else but me see a.. 6 man Tag involving Spike, Bubba, Dvon vs London,Kidman, Mysterio? Spike Heel Turn this week possibly?

80) Burying Alex Wright's Push 81) Letting Brian Pillman Leave 82) Turning Disco from a Great Comedy Character with Sucess to a crappy Comedy Character with no sucess.

Ric Flair has stated before about the backstage politics involving Hulk Hogan. He stated numerous times, that Wright was one of the best upcomers wCw had from 1994-1997, before his injury. Why do you think it was WRIGHT who was named the Number One Contender for that sort period of time? Because Flair loves the guy. Hogan held everyone down that every had a chance, in wCw and WWF. He wasn't even over as much as he used to be and he was still holding everyone down. And then you say why was it Hogan's fault? Dude.. Hogan had control over pretty much everything.. He wanted Wright held down and KABAM! he was held down. As for Roma mocking him.. Wrestlers also get pops for doing other wrestlers trademarks. Roma was an ass, and deserved to be shot on the spot. Wright was extremley over... the only match I can think of that he got booed, during his first push as a face, was against Brian Pillman, and it was in Pillman's hometown, who was also a babyface.
-
So this whole tournament was actual boxing? They really said to go out there, and whoever wins wins? Meaning they thought Steve Williams was going to beat the hell outta Gunn, but it happened the other way around? Ahh... im so confused.

What a great thread! lol, Alex Wright, ala my sig, is one of my favourites ever. I met this guy back in 1995, and he was awesome. Much more polite and awesome then most wrestlers. Anyway, Flair loved Wright. He thought Wright was awesome, and he wanted to push him. As did Arn. It's just the fact that Wright was Super Over with the crowd, and Hogan new that this kid maybe a threat in a few years. I mean Wright was like The Rock of WCW, he was so over. Just Rock was never screwed. Also with all those people not laying down for Wright.. Any chance they were FRIENDS OF HOGANS? I think it is a high possibility seeing that Roma and Hogan were in WWF together, then in WCW together. Duggan was also in WWF with Hogan and WCW with Wright. I really think, Hogan did everything he could to make Wright look bad, and to get the fans to turn on him completely, making him look bad. Wright had some great matches in his days with Dragon, Jericho, Pillman, Benoit, Guerrero, Flair, Anderson, Vader even. It was all politics. Thats why none of the cruiserweights ever seemed to be pushed. Wrights Berlyn gimmick was solid for the first few apperances, again until Hacksaw decided not to lay down for him and do the job. He made Wright look horrible, and I really wish Wright would of just clocked him one. The return in late 2000 with Disqo was good. Wright got a very good pop when he came out and danced. I Think what really hurt that was the fact that wCw never knew what to do with them. The made them faces one weeks, heels the next... Which was retarded because even when they were heels they were getting face pops. I remember when they beat the Thrillers and the crowd all popped huge, only for Sanders to restart the match after the rest of the Thrillers killed them. Wright had very good wrestling talent... He was no Benoit, but he could definately hold his own. He was also very good on the mic. As a face, he was decent on the mic, and as a heel he was golden. Doing bits in german, and then telling the crowd how great he looked.. and it was just so natural to him. I really don't know how good he could of been. World Champion? Possibly, but if not he would of been a solid US contender, and a very good supporter to WCW. Its things like this crap, why Wright went under... Also.. Anyone heard any rumours of a Return? He said in a interview that he hopes to come back to wrestling, and he did for a match some near the end of last year, start of this year. But does anyone know if he's coming back to one of the big companys? I would mark out huge..

Write In: Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo My second favourites were Monsoon and Dibiase and Monsoon and Hennan. Schiavone and Hennan were also good.

I have a few. 5) Jack Evans - Spot Monkey or not, this guy is awesome. I truly enjoy watching him, one of my favourites. 4) Austin Aries - GeNeRaTiOn NeXt. Watched some ROH/ECWA stuff recently and Aries is gold. 3) Amazin Nate Mattson - BCW - This guy is very good. Good in the ring, good on the mic, good mat presence, I really enjoy him. Great talent IMO. 2) Teddy Hart - Like him or not, I do enjoy his in ring work. I really think he has a shot at being huge, if he can cool down backstage. I'll probably get bashed for liking him because no one else does, but fine. I enjoy watching him. 1) Chance Beckett - Seen him a few times up here in Canada, and he was also in the ECWA Super 8 Tournament in 2003 (I believe, 2003) in three matches. Took a deep cut, but fought through it and gave a pretty darn good match against London. Favourite: Jimmy Rave - This guy is golden. A lot of people don't like him, but I think he is awesome. He can sell, he is quick, he's got moves, a good presence, and I've seen alot of his stuff. He's had some great matches, he's my pick for best/favourite indy wrestler.

Sounds like a good show. Paul London with 2 straight wins on SD? thats good for me. Cruiserweight Tag Team Match? Good for me too, Dudleyz storyline hopefully leads to three heel Dudleyz facing off against London, Kidman and Mysterio at SS, that would be cool. *Unless of course we can get London.Kidman vs F.B.I.* JBL is a decent world champ. His in-ring skill isn't very good, but he's good on the mic and his gimmick is new and kinda enjoyable. Woudl I prefer Eddie as champ? Yeh. But look at the bright side... at SS instead of getting a shitty match that we've seen 3 times, JBL vs Eddie, at least we'll get a great match out of this (Angle vs Eddie) although we'll have to sit through the pain of Taker.JBl... ugh. And What the hell happened to Haas? He saves the referee, and then he disappears? Haas rules.. One of the top five in-ring wrestlers on the SD Roster, hope he's back with something to do shortly. Maybe they'll repackage him as a Randy Orton type heel. I dunno, but BRING BACK HAAS!

I'm from Canada and I'm going. $100 Canadian for a floor seat? HA! Yeah right, they were $400 to begin with, you'd be looking at least $600 off scapling. I dont know how the scapling scene is.. Look in a few newspapers thought. Apparently there are a few deals going on, where you get free 5* accomdations for the two nights, a ticket to SS and the pre show (Saturday Autographs and stuff), for $200. Not the greatest seats I doubt, but it would still be a thrill for those prices.

Looks to be a good show but with the main event being so horrible.. Dusty, Larry, Killings, Konnan, James vs Shamrock, Jarrett, Collyer, Hernandez, and Oynx. We have a total of FIVE.. out of TEN decent (in ring) workers in this match! And FOUR are on ONE TEAM! (Shamrock, Jarrett, Collyer, Hernandez, amd Killings.. Oynx is okay I guess..) We better hope like hell that Killings gets most of the time for his team. Let Dusty take the hot tag, and do a few elbows. And Keep James and Konnan's time minimized. If this match goes 20 minutes.. break it down like.. Killings - 10 Shamrock - 4 James - 3 Collyer - 6 Konnan - 3 Jarrett - 4 Zybsko - 3 Hernandez - 3 Dusty - 1 Oynx - 3 That would be a good break down of inring time in my opinoin.. to get this match to a passable **-*** mach. Who knows, maybe this match will have a suprise, and be great? I hope.. but I doubt it. It'll prolly end up with Dusty in their for 20 minutes

Triple H is a good talent. He's been on a roll with matches recently, and would not be a horrible champion. BUT, Benoit should retain. Triple H will get the title back before the end of the year anyway. I think Chris Benoit will retain, then at Summerslam, Trips will win. - Benoit retains @ Vengeance. - Eugene helps Triple H win @ Summerslam.. and we continue the HHH/Eugene drama on RAW. - Triple H starts to get attached, and thus Evolution gives him the boot. - Orton vs Triple H feud begins. - Orton wins the title. I think that has a HIGH Possibility of happening. Just my opinion though..
-
Yeah.. I'll take a stab and say with those 6 matches announced, we will get something like.. Rhyno/Tajiri vs Garrison Cade/Coach... or is Cade hurt? Blah I can't remember. Have Val Venis attack Tajiri on Heat, or in a backstage seg on the PPV. Or make funo f Tajiri, because he's not as good looking as him, and they could add Val vs Tajiri and give it the extra 10 minutes. Hell that match could bust ***, and with That up there happening, it would be a heel Venis, which might be what he needs to get over with the fans again.. Face Val sucks. Heat'll be like Tomko DESTROYING Maven.

Two Things.. Did the Dudleyz win the titles in a mid match change because of Ricos injury.. or were they scheduled to beat Haas and Rico? And Two, Maybe MAYBE WWE is smartening up. 11 Cruiserweights on Smackdown last night, 9 wrestled. Wrestled (9) - El Gran Luchadore (Shannon Moore), Jamie Noble, Akio, Spike Dudley, Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Scotty 2 Hotty, Paul London, Billy Kidman. Didnt Wrestle, But Appeared (2) - Nunzio, Funaki. Maybe WWE is actually taking what we say into consideration. After that Bruce Pritchard statement about taking away the cruiserweights, and now this? Maybe WWE knows either that this is what the fans want. Maybe they finally looked at their numbers and realized that they needed to listen to the fans about somethings. IE, use the cruiserweights. That would of took the whole thing away from the storyline. Kidman and London are UNDERDOGS. If they wrestled a few matches on SD and won.. They wouldn't be the underdogs anymore. And If they lost, why are they getting a title shot when say the teams that beat them arent? This is the way to do it, and It was awesome to make the beat the Dudleyz. It looks good for them, and it was done in a good way. I thought it was a very good match. The Celebration was awesome. It brought new meaning back to the titles that had been gone for sometime. The way the celebrated, all the congradulations backstage. It showed that the titles mean something again. Of course they didnt think they would win, thats why they were so happy, yet suprised. They tried their hardest and pulled out a upset, and were crazy happy about it. I thought it raised the titles back up to its natural spot, as the Number 2 or 3 title. Now let's hope since the FBI were the first TEAM to congradulate Kidman and London, that a feud starts with them. Although, I heard that FBI have been getting alot of Face Pops recently I actually like the Dudleyz as heels. They seem to be able to work a crowd, and we dont get all those damn table chants anymore. I really think that the Heel Dudleyz are a fresh twist from the face Dudleyz from the last 3 years. I find the Dudleyz mildly entertaining again, compared to when I despised seeing them on my TV a few months ago.
