  1. I've meet a few superstars. In the past I've met.. - Alex Wright and Disco Inferno (*Who were signing autographs and talking with the fans after a house show in 1996*) -Owen Hart, who was extremely nice, and stayed after the show until autographs were completely signed. And most recently, -Rene Dupree, I met at a Mr. Sub after a houseshow in Kingston. He was very cool, and Suprisingly was able to talk to me for a few minutes, because no one else was in the store. He said that him and a few of the other wrestlers were just staying in town tonight, instead of driving. I guess he was their bitch, to go and get the subs, cuz no one else was with him, and left with more than one. *minus a few non wrestling friends, who came with me cuz I begged them haha* -Paul London, I met after the house show in Kingston. He was cool, and signed autographs in the parking lot for people. Not many people stayed after to get autographs from any of the superstars, but London was cool and made sure everyone that did stay went home with an autograph. -Dawn Marie, who was also at the house show in Kingston. She was really nice too, although didnt stay very long. I got her autograph as well. - Also out there (Didn't get a chance to meet them though) were Billy Kidman, Nunzio, Jamie Noble, and Scotty 2 Hotty. Apparently Kurt Angle was taking pictures with fans before the show, but I didn't know about it until after when the people that were sitting beside me mentioned it. -And Finally, I met Arn Anderson. Anderson was also at the house show, and was just standing out, hanging out watching the houseshow from inside the railing. He talked with alot of the fans, who had floor seats. He was really cool, and asked me who my favourite wrestler was *Paul London*. I also sucked up and told him his cage match with Ole against the Rock n Roll was one of the best matches I ever seen. He thanked me, at the end of the show, he shook everyones hand, That's it really. A lot, but alot were from a house show, where wrestlers seem to be more willing to stay after.
  2. To answer someones earlier question, Marty Jannetty is 2 years older than Shawn Michaels. I'm pretty sure anyway. As for a comeback... It could work. Jannetty was awesome in his day, but I do agree with the attire. They need their Rocker attire, or something. As for people not knowing him? A Video could show the newer fans, and if Jannetty returned, some of the older fans may come back.
  3. Fucking Right! Even if it's a two week reign, Paul London was still a champion in WWE.. Something, I NEVER thought would happen. This is incredible and congrats to Paul and Kidman. I tend to disagree with that. Kidman gets over when he gets time, he NEVER gets a pop during his entrance, but then during the match, he always does. Kidman is a great wrestler IMO, as is London and this could possibly be the best WWE Tag Team Champs of all time, Talentwise. Spanky is great, but so Is Kidman. I Wish Spanky was in Spike Dudleyz spot instead. Spike is stale IMO. *Although... The Brainbusters and The Strike Force were pretty talented too..
  4. Entertaining? Eugene vs The Coach was pretty good. I was laughing Pretty fuckin hard the whole time... But the most.. The Hurricane/Rock Backstage skits, and their match when Hurricane won. Fucking loved that little fued.
  5. Only good thing about WCW is you knew that some of our jobberweight wrestlers were garunteed a spot on the PPV. And sometimes they had some lesser *over* wrestlers stay in awhile. 97 Wright and Mortis stayed in quite a while, Rey too as well. Still overall a shitty idea... but hey if i gets Psicosis, La Parka, Alex Wright, Hector Garza.. all those guys on PPV.. I'm suprisingly for it.
  6. Nah... your right man. I didn't prove my points... I really don't know how to prove them.. I just thought Austin wasn't as good as he used to be from 98ish - Now. I just thought he was great in WCW in his matches with Pillman and with his matches against Steamboat, Wright, and Johnny B. Badd. Like I said, I'm not dissing Austin's knowledge of the business, I just plain out thought he was better in WCW.
  7. That's tough... Theres alot of talented wrestlers on RAW Right now. Conway, Benoit, Hurricane, Christian, Jericho, Flair, Shelton, Trips, Eugene, Orton... the list jsut goes on and on. My pick is Orton though. Benoit and Christian come in a close second. Orton is just dominant right now, his gimmick is very cool.. his attitude is great... hes a heel that everyone loves. Kind of like Austin when he was heel back in 96/97. Wierd. But everyone I listed up there plus more such as Batista, are all very talented. RAW is awesome.
  8. I picked Flair... But I really like People not on the list.. Pillman, Alex Wright (heel), Disqo (comedy), Jeff Jarrett (Chosen One), Steve Austin (Old WWF Days), The Rock (since his movie career, I've loved him on the mic, he's hilarious), William Regal is very good as well. All those others are very good too, but how in the hell could you leave... RAVEN!?! Off that list? Raven has one of the best voices in wrestling, and his promos are fantastic. I thought he was great.
  9. Hey... im still new to these forums.. what exactly does IWC mean?
  10. Toss up between the 1992 Match with Shawn and the Cage match with Owen in 1994. The Ironman match was incredible, but it get's boring to watch repeatedly with the slow pace, unlike the other two. I picked Owen's Cage match by the hair on its teeth, as Im a huge Owen Mark.
  11. Okay, I quit this thread. This was supposed to be for fun, not to take rude shots at other peoples opinions.
  12. Versus Shamrock on RAW sometime was rather decent. Not a classic, but not horrible.
  13. I disagree. It should of been booked.. Angle over Rikishi Eddie over Venis* Benoit over Bull Jericho over Crash *The only lengthy first round match. (Over 10 mins) Eddie over Angle Benoit over Jericho Both lengthy matches Then Benoit over Eddie or even Eddie over Benoit... The semifinals on would have given great matches. Plus the first round great match with Venis/Eddie. Crash vs Jericho may have been tolerable was well. BUT the best KOTR is 1993. I haven't seen 1994, which is a shame from all the great reviews. 98 was the second place, and 2001 was third.
  14. Wrestlemania 20 Vengeance 2003 Wrestlemania 19 Survivor Series 02 Royal Rumble 2004 - just cuz Benoit wins. Not too many more jump out at me..
  15. The Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels is without a doubt the best main event for bad blood... BUT I don't think Triple H vs HBK was bad. I enjoyed it, and I was on the edge of my seat. Some people will love it, some people will hate it... its just the way it is. With the match they seemed to work, it was more of a wrestling hell in a cell, then actual use of the cell. But UT/HBK gets my vote ne way. Nash vs HHH was embarassing. Nash/Triple H w/ Foley Referee = *1/2 Triple H vs Shawn Michaels = ***3/4 Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker = **** 1/4
  16. Well, There's been so many great matches. Triple H & Steve Austin vs Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho... RVD vs Christian Ladder Match... Owen vs Bulldog Euro Finals... Tito/Jannetty vs Michaels/Ramon(< I believe that was RAW, maybe it was the Saturday Show) But my top three would have to be.. 3) Ric Flair vs Mr. Perfect - Retirement Match (1993 I believe) 2) Shawn Michaels vs Triple H - World Heavyweight Championship (Last RAW of 2003) and Numero One... 1) Marty Jannetty vs Shawn Michaels - WWF Intercontinental Title (1993). Reason for Jannetty/Michaels - Just a phenomenal Match. Too bad they couldn't of switched that with their Royal Rumble 1993 match. The 1993 RR match was a good match, probably ***-***1/2 but this match on RAW was just awesome. Great match but there are so many others to choose from, these are just the three that stick out in my mind.
  17. True, the Smart Marks love him. But Casual fans couldnt care less if he was on TV, if they would start caring, then we would get to see him on TV.
  18. - This has been most likely done before, but with the "Success" of the Most Overrated Thread, why not bring this back. Who do you all think is the most underrated Wrestler in the WWE? - To me, its Paul London by a long shot. This kid is great, and can wrestle great technically, and he is one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE, I think. His mic skills probably need work, but his in ring talent speaks for itself, Kind of like Benoit. - The runner up would definately be Charlie Haas. This guy is great technically, and when I've heard him speak, he's been decent. A GREAT in-ring talent, up there with the likes of Benoit/Guerrero without the experience. But they job him to Luther Reigns, and Casual wrestling fans don't give a crap about him. What's your thoughts people?
  19. Yah well I'm allowed to have my opinion man, and like I said I dislike Austin's WWF work. Kane overrated? Hell, I didnt even think people thought he was very good to begin with.. As for the Rock he is like Austin to me, accept he brings the fans into his matches, although they are usually not very good wrestling matches, he brings his fans into them. in WWF Austin was just a brawler, which doesnt bring the fans in as much as The Rock can. But by no means am I saying Rock is a great wrestler.
  20. LOL!!!! That's great, thanks for the laugh. Austin's work in WWF was terrible, unless it was with the likes of Hart, Benoit, Jericho. Benoit could wrestle a **** match with a piece of dirt... Hey! Just like he carried Austin to those four star matches. If Benoit can't carry you, then you really stink. Ricky Steamboat vs "Stunning" Steve Austin proved to be some of the best matches of his career. And Steamboat was nearing the end of his career, meaning Austin had to carry Steamboat more than he had to carry Hart a few years later. That there proves that Austin was just better in WCW. As for Austin being retired, Did he ever announce it? I think not, sure in WWE he wasn't active in the ring, but hell neither was Orton, while he was hurt. Austin has had talks about matches since his dismiss from WWE, therefore he isn't retired. Austin had good matches with Savio.. Yeah, that was before he broke his neck, which I said he still my of had a few good matches between that year in WWF before hand. Of course, most of Savio/Austin involved gimmick matches, which in theory can hide just about any one's in ring skills, if you know the business. And Austin did know the business. As for matches with Mero, I dont remember those from WWF, but his matches against Johnny B. Badd (aka Marc Mero) were good in WCW. And dude, I'm just stating my opinions, you dont have to get so angry. I don't like Austin, I dont think his WWF days were good, thats my opinion, which I'm allowed to have. But anyway.. I'm not taking my shots at Austin for the reason that I'm an Austin Hater, because I enjoy Austin's WCW work, and some of his WWF work.
  21. Yeah... like I said.. Austin had a few good matches in WWE. But then again, look who the hell they were against! Bret Hart? Owen Hart? Brian Pillman? Some of the greats in the business. Austin was awesome in WCW, but in WWE he just became a shell of his former self. Age maybe? Injuries... but hell Benoit can put on a **** match while injured, so that's not a very good point. Hell, I like Austin to tell the truth... but none of his stuff from about 1998 on was any good. About one good match since 1998, that I remember, which was Austin/HHH vs Benoit/Jericho. So Austin's top 5 matches are great, but 1-2 good matches in the last five years, just doesnt impress me enough. Therefore he is the most overrated wrestler, currently. In 1998 even 1999 It probably would of been him. Austin's Best Matches Steve Austin vs Bret Hart (SS96) Steve Austin vs Bret Hart (WM13) Steve Austin vs Vader vs Bret Hart vs Undertaker (Final Four) Austin/HHH vs Benoit/Jericho (RAW) Bulldog, Hart, Hart, Pillman, Neidhart vs Shamrock, Austin, LOD, Goldust. There may have been 2 or 3 more, however. I just dont think he's a good as he used to be. He used to be putting on **** clinics all the time in WCW. Whether in a tag match with Brian Pillman, or in singles matches against the likes of Steamboat and others. I like Austin, I just think his in ring career in WWF was no better then mediocre.
  22. I have to say Austin by far. I dunno how some people in the world, hell some people on this board put up with him. He's so overrated.. sure he has the mic skills, but give anyone a mic and tell them to go out there and say What?! for 10 minutes, anyone can do it. And Beause everyone loved Austin (For God Knows What Reason?!), they would copy him. I've seen about 3 good Austin matches since his WWF/E debut let alone the last five years. Austin blantly is overrated, and does indeed fit into the title "Sucks" Now don't get me wrong, Austin as part of the HollyWood Blondes with one, Brian Pillman was possibly one of the best combinations ever. Certianly one of my favourite along with the Can Am Connection(Martel and Zenk), The Midnight Rockers(Jannetty and Michaels), Brainbusters (Anderson and Tully), Rock n Roll (Gibson and Morton) and the Strike Force(Martel and Santana). But ever since Austin snapped his neck, he went from a capable **** 1/2 star wrestler to a usual ** at best wrestler, and that just doesnt cut it for me. NOW for my comments on other people's sayings.... 1) Christian is a bad wrestler? - I have to believe not. He definately isn't the best worker, but he's not the worst. I would take Christian over 90% of WWE's talent to this day. 2) Shawn Michaels a bad wrestler? - Again, I have to say not. Michaels is talented, and yet a shell of his former self, still one of the greats, who can put on a great match now and again, and thats saying alot again for WWE at this day and age. 3) Chris Jericho is a bad wrestler? - WTF?! Jericho is awesome, sure if you put him in a league with Benoit or Guerrero, he's not with them, but then again who on the WWE roster is in the same league as them? Charlie Haas maybe? Kurt Angle, Paul London... ? That's about it. 4) Ultimo Dragon a bad wrestler? - HAHA! Honestly, that was worth a few laughs. Sure his costumes can be a bit annoying, I guess?? But this guy is a talent, if WWE had used him properly and we got to see Chavito vs Dragon on PPV, that would of been a fantastic treat to all of us. 5) Kurt Angle a bad wrestler? - I'm not even going to go there. That's just stupid. 6) Triple H a bad wrestler? - Over the last few years, his match quality declined, but he was never a "GREAT WORKER" to begin with. He was decent to good, and he still can put on a good match from time to time. He is a bit stale though. Overrated maybe, but a horrible worker? No. I've probably missed a few that were mentioned but oh well... those were the main ones that stuck out.
  23. Thanks... I wasn't saying Dusty on the DVD was shameful, I'm just saying Dusty Rhodes sucks in general... IMO.
  24. Hey... I dont have those things you listed that you are looking for, sorry:(.. But I do have a few old WWF/WCW tapes. You said no money, which sucks cuz I would of bought a shit load of your WCW stuff. Your the only person who has anything of Alex Wright, who've I've been looking for alot of of stuff... So those few tapes I have, maybe we can work out a trade or something. Thanks. Contact: MSN/Email: [email protected] AIM: x natey2k4 x
  25. Yeah, Finally I've found a store that had a copy of the Ric Flair DVD and I just called to reserve it. I'm going to be picking up later today or tomorrow, and I was just wondering.. Is it worth the money? I know that's probably a stupid question... but there's probably been some horrible Dusty Rhodes moments, that I hope arne't on this DVD.
