  1. Write In: Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo My second favourites were Monsoon and Dibiase and Monsoon and Hennan. Schiavone and Hennan were also good.
  2. I have a few. 5) Jack Evans - Spot Monkey or not, this guy is awesome. I truly enjoy watching him, one of my favourites. 4) Austin Aries - GeNeRaTiOn NeXt. Watched some ROH/ECWA stuff recently and Aries is gold. 3) Amazin Nate Mattson - BCW - This guy is very good. Good in the ring, good on the mic, good mat presence, I really enjoy him. Great talent IMO. 2) Teddy Hart - Like him or not, I do enjoy his in ring work. I really think he has a shot at being huge, if he can cool down backstage. I'll probably get bashed for liking him because no one else does, but fine. I enjoy watching him. 1) Chance Beckett - Seen him a few times up here in Canada, and he was also in the ECWA Super 8 Tournament in 2003 (I believe, 2003) in three matches. Took a deep cut, but fought through it and gave a pretty darn good match against London. Favourite: Jimmy Rave - This guy is golden. A lot of people don't like him, but I think he is awesome. He can sell, he is quick, he's got moves, a good presence, and I've seen alot of his stuff. He's had some great matches, he's my pick for best/favourite indy wrestler.
  3. Sounds like a good show. Paul London with 2 straight wins on SD? thats good for me. Cruiserweight Tag Team Match? Good for me too, Dudleyz storyline hopefully leads to three heel Dudleyz facing off against London, Kidman and Mysterio at SS, that would be cool. *Unless of course we can get London.Kidman vs F.B.I.* JBL is a decent world champ. His in-ring skill isn't very good, but he's good on the mic and his gimmick is new and kinda enjoyable. Woudl I prefer Eddie as champ? Yeh. But look at the bright side... at SS instead of getting a shitty match that we've seen 3 times, JBL vs Eddie, at least we'll get a great match out of this (Angle vs Eddie) although we'll have to sit through the pain of Taker.JBl... ugh. And What the hell happened to Haas? He saves the referee, and then he disappears? Haas rules.. One of the top five in-ring wrestlers on the SD Roster, hope he's back with something to do shortly. Maybe they'll repackage him as a Randy Orton type heel. I dunno, but BRING BACK HAAS!
  4. I'm from Canada and I'm going. $100 Canadian for a floor seat? HA! Yeah right, they were $400 to begin with, you'd be looking at least $600 off scapling. I dont know how the scapling scene is.. Look in a few newspapers thought. Apparently there are a few deals going on, where you get free 5* accomdations for the two nights, a ticket to SS and the pre show (Saturday Autographs and stuff), for $200. Not the greatest seats I doubt, but it would still be a thrill for those prices.
  5. Looks to be a good show but with the main event being so horrible.. Dusty, Larry, Killings, Konnan, James vs Shamrock, Jarrett, Collyer, Hernandez, and Oynx. We have a total of FIVE.. out of TEN decent (in ring) workers in this match! And FOUR are on ONE TEAM! (Shamrock, Jarrett, Collyer, Hernandez, amd Killings.. Oynx is okay I guess..) We better hope like hell that Killings gets most of the time for his team. Let Dusty take the hot tag, and do a few elbows. And Keep James and Konnan's time minimized. If this match goes 20 minutes.. break it down like.. Killings - 10 Shamrock - 4 James - 3 Collyer - 6 Konnan - 3 Jarrett - 4 Zybsko - 3 Hernandez - 3 Dusty - 1 Oynx - 3 That would be a good break down of inring time in my opinoin.. to get this match to a passable **-*** mach. Who knows, maybe this match will have a suprise, and be great? I hope.. but I doubt it. It'll prolly end up with Dusty in their for 20 minutes
  6. Triple H is a good talent. He's been on a roll with matches recently, and would not be a horrible champion. BUT, Benoit should retain. Triple H will get the title back before the end of the year anyway. I think Chris Benoit will retain, then at Summerslam, Trips will win. - Benoit retains @ Vengeance. - Eugene helps Triple H win @ Summerslam.. and we continue the HHH/Eugene drama on RAW. - Triple H starts to get attached, and thus Evolution gives him the boot. - Orton vs Triple H feud begins. - Orton wins the title. I think that has a HIGH Possibility of happening. Just my opinion though..
  7. Yeah.. I'll take a stab and say with those 6 matches announced, we will get something like.. Rhyno/Tajiri vs Garrison Cade/Coach... or is Cade hurt? Blah I can't remember. Have Val Venis attack Tajiri on Heat, or in a backstage seg on the PPV. Or make funo f Tajiri, because he's not as good looking as him, and they could add Val vs Tajiri and give it the extra 10 minutes. Hell that match could bust ***, and with That up there happening, it would be a heel Venis, which might be what he needs to get over with the fans again.. Face Val sucks. Heat'll be like Tomko DESTROYING Maven.
  8. Two Things.. Did the Dudleyz win the titles in a mid match change because of Ricos injury.. or were they scheduled to beat Haas and Rico? And Two, Maybe MAYBE WWE is smartening up. 11 Cruiserweights on Smackdown last night, 9 wrestled. Wrestled (9) - El Gran Luchadore (Shannon Moore), Jamie Noble, Akio, Spike Dudley, Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Scotty 2 Hotty, Paul London, Billy Kidman. Didnt Wrestle, But Appeared (2) - Nunzio, Funaki. Maybe WWE is actually taking what we say into consideration. After that Bruce Pritchard statement about taking away the cruiserweights, and now this? Maybe WWE knows either that this is what the fans want. Maybe they finally looked at their numbers and realized that they needed to listen to the fans about somethings. IE, use the cruiserweights. That would of took the whole thing away from the storyline. Kidman and London are UNDERDOGS. If they wrestled a few matches on SD and won.. They wouldn't be the underdogs anymore. And If they lost, why are they getting a title shot when say the teams that beat them arent? This is the way to do it, and It was awesome to make the beat the Dudleyz. It looks good for them, and it was done in a good way. I thought it was a very good match. The Celebration was awesome. It brought new meaning back to the titles that had been gone for sometime. The way the celebrated, all the congradulations backstage. It showed that the titles mean something again. Of course they didnt think they would win, thats why they were so happy, yet suprised. They tried their hardest and pulled out a upset, and were crazy happy about it. I thought it raised the titles back up to its natural spot, as the Number 2 or 3 title. Now let's hope since the FBI were the first TEAM to congradulate Kidman and London, that a feud starts with them. Although, I heard that FBI have been getting alot of Face Pops recently I actually like the Dudleyz as heels. They seem to be able to work a crowd, and we dont get all those damn table chants anymore. I really think that the Heel Dudleyz are a fresh twist from the face Dudleyz from the last 3 years. I find the Dudleyz mildly entertaining again, compared to when I despised seeing them on my TV a few months ago.
  9. I've meet a few superstars. In the past I've met.. - Alex Wright and Disco Inferno (*Who were signing autographs and talking with the fans after a house show in 1996*) -Owen Hart, who was extremely nice, and stayed after the show until autographs were completely signed. And most recently, -Rene Dupree, I met at a Mr. Sub after a houseshow in Kingston. He was very cool, and Suprisingly was able to talk to me for a few minutes, because no one else was in the store. He said that him and a few of the other wrestlers were just staying in town tonight, instead of driving. I guess he was their bitch, to go and get the subs, cuz no one else was with him, and left with more than one. *minus a few non wrestling friends, who came with me cuz I begged them haha* -Paul London, I met after the house show in Kingston. He was cool, and signed autographs in the parking lot for people. Not many people stayed after to get autographs from any of the superstars, but London was cool and made sure everyone that did stay went home with an autograph. -Dawn Marie, who was also at the house show in Kingston. She was really nice too, although didnt stay very long. I got her autograph as well. - Also out there (Didn't get a chance to meet them though) were Billy Kidman, Nunzio, Jamie Noble, and Scotty 2 Hotty. Apparently Kurt Angle was taking pictures with fans before the show, but I didn't know about it until after when the people that were sitting beside me mentioned it. -And Finally, I met Arn Anderson. Anderson was also at the house show, and was just standing out, hanging out watching the houseshow from inside the railing. He talked with alot of the fans, who had floor seats. He was really cool, and asked me who my favourite wrestler was *Paul London*. I also sucked up and told him his cage match with Ole against the Rock n Roll was one of the best matches I ever seen. He thanked me, at the end of the show, he shook everyones hand, That's it really. A lot, but alot were from a house show, where wrestlers seem to be more willing to stay after.
  10. To answer someones earlier question, Marty Jannetty is 2 years older than Shawn Michaels. I'm pretty sure anyway. As for a comeback... It could work. Jannetty was awesome in his day, but I do agree with the attire. They need their Rocker attire, or something. As for people not knowing him? A Video could show the newer fans, and if Jannetty returned, some of the older fans may come back.
  11. You all seem to know alot of places that have Videos. Could any of you help me find any.. Alex Wright matches? or Hollywood Blonde matches? Thanks.
  12. Fucking Right! Even if it's a two week reign, Paul London was still a champion in WWE.. Something, I NEVER thought would happen. This is incredible and congrats to Paul and Kidman. I tend to disagree with that. Kidman gets over when he gets time, he NEVER gets a pop during his entrance, but then during the match, he always does. Kidman is a great wrestler IMO, as is London and this could possibly be the best WWE Tag Team Champs of all time, Talentwise. Spanky is great, but so Is Kidman. I Wish Spanky was in Spike Dudleyz spot instead. Spike is stale IMO. *Although... The Brainbusters and The Strike Force were pretty talented too..
  13. Entertaining? Eugene vs The Coach was pretty good. I was laughing Pretty fuckin hard the whole time... But the most.. The Hurricane/Rock Backstage skits, and their match when Hurricane won. Fucking loved that little fued.
  14. Only good thing about WCW is you knew that some of our jobberweight wrestlers were garunteed a spot on the PPV. And sometimes they had some lesser *over* wrestlers stay in awhile. 97 Wright and Mortis stayed in quite a while, Rey too as well. Still overall a shitty idea... but hey if i gets Psicosis, La Parka, Alex Wright, Hector Garza.. all those guys on PPV.. I'm suprisingly for it.
  15. Nah... your right man. I didn't prove my points... I really don't know how to prove them.. I just thought Austin wasn't as good as he used to be from 98ish - Now. I just thought he was great in WCW in his matches with Pillman and with his matches against Steamboat, Wright, and Johnny B. Badd. Like I said, I'm not dissing Austin's knowledge of the business, I just plain out thought he was better in WCW.
  16. That's tough... Theres alot of talented wrestlers on RAW Right now. Conway, Benoit, Hurricane, Christian, Jericho, Flair, Shelton, Trips, Eugene, Orton... the list jsut goes on and on. My pick is Orton though. Benoit and Christian come in a close second. Orton is just dominant right now, his gimmick is very cool.. his attitude is great... hes a heel that everyone loves. Kind of like Austin when he was heel back in 96/97. Wierd. But everyone I listed up there plus more such as Batista, are all very talented. RAW is awesome.
  17. I picked Flair... But I really like People not on the list.. Pillman, Alex Wright (heel), Disqo (comedy), Jeff Jarrett (Chosen One), Steve Austin (Old WWF Days), The Rock (since his movie career, I've loved him on the mic, he's hilarious), William Regal is very good as well. All those others are very good too, but how in the hell could you leave... RAVEN!?! Off that list? Raven has one of the best voices in wrestling, and his promos are fantastic. I thought he was great.
  18. Hey... im still new to these forums.. what exactly does IWC mean?
  19. Toss up between the 1992 Match with Shawn and the Cage match with Owen in 1994. The Ironman match was incredible, but it get's boring to watch repeatedly with the slow pace, unlike the other two. I picked Owen's Cage match by the hair on its teeth, as Im a huge Owen Mark.
  20. Okay, I quit this thread. This was supposed to be for fun, not to take rude shots at other peoples opinions.
  21. Versus Shamrock on RAW sometime was rather decent. Not a classic, but not horrible.
  22. I disagree. It should of been booked.. Angle over Rikishi Eddie over Venis* Benoit over Bull Jericho over Crash *The only lengthy first round match. (Over 10 mins) Eddie over Angle Benoit over Jericho Both lengthy matches Then Benoit over Eddie or even Eddie over Benoit... The semifinals on would have given great matches. Plus the first round great match with Venis/Eddie. Crash vs Jericho may have been tolerable was well. BUT the best KOTR is 1993. I haven't seen 1994, which is a shame from all the great reviews. 98 was the second place, and 2001 was third.
  23. Wrestlemania 20 Vengeance 2003 Wrestlemania 19 Survivor Series 02 Royal Rumble 2004 - just cuz Benoit wins. Not too many more jump out at me..
  24. The Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels is without a doubt the best main event for bad blood... BUT I don't think Triple H vs HBK was bad. I enjoyed it, and I was on the edge of my seat. Some people will love it, some people will hate it... its just the way it is. With the match they seemed to work, it was more of a wrestling hell in a cell, then actual use of the cell. But UT/HBK gets my vote ne way. Nash vs HHH was embarassing. Nash/Triple H w/ Foley Referee = *1/2 Triple H vs Shawn Michaels = ***3/4 Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker = **** 1/4
  25. Well, There's been so many great matches. Triple H & Steve Austin vs Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho... RVD vs Christian Ladder Match... Owen vs Bulldog Euro Finals... Tito/Jannetty vs Michaels/Ramon(< I believe that was RAW, maybe it was the Saturday Show) But my top three would have to be.. 3) Ric Flair vs Mr. Perfect - Retirement Match (1993 I believe) 2) Shawn Michaels vs Triple H - World Heavyweight Championship (Last RAW of 2003) and Numero One... 1) Marty Jannetty vs Shawn Michaels - WWF Intercontinental Title (1993). Reason for Jannetty/Michaels - Just a phenomenal Match. Too bad they couldn't of switched that with their Royal Rumble 1993 match. The 1993 RR match was a good match, probably ***-***1/2 but this match on RAW was just awesome. Great match but there are so many others to choose from, these are just the three that stick out in my mind.
