Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Calling Bas a douche is blasphemy. -
I hate Roy as well, it doesn't stop me from denying his greatness. Whats to like about Roy? He's a whiny jerk, and a terrible person. But when he played, it was like watching magic. You should learn to be unbiased. And even though most of the Devils core players from their Cup years are gone, they still have an extremely talented team. Brodeur is playing good, but Scott Clemmensen came in and played just as good as Brodeur is playing now.

Bobby and Jason Guida got into it at the presser today, Roy Jones Jr had to break it up. Guida started running his mouth, and when he got up in Bobby's face for the staredown Bobby grabbed him by him neck and shoved him. -
I think it more has to do with the poster in the Bug Jar, than the idea it's self.

Was it really worse then mine and pbone's Bug Jar?

2009 TSM Worst Poster Tournament: Sweet 16
Lt. Al Giardello replied to 909's topic in No Holds Barred
I've never faked my own death. And I don't think CJ has challenged anyone to a fight. CJ never faked his own death...that's a TSM myth. When he stopped calling himself "Highspot" and started calling himself Crucifixio Jones he wrote a mock obituary in the Flaming Folder for Highspot, but it was clearly tongue-in-cheek and nobody thought he was really dead. He was trying to demonstrate that the gloves were off, and he wasn't going to be nice to everybody anymore...when he stopped calling himself Highspot and started calling himself CJ he started being a lot more acerbic in his posting style. You can say a lot about him, but he wasn't stupid...he would not have faked his own death. The only people who thought he was faking his death were people who weren't there at the time, or people who were there and didn't pick up on his sarcasm. I didn't even really like the guy all that much, and I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning, and even I know that. You can say a lot about CJ but he never faked his own death, that whole rumor should be put to bed. And yeah he did challenge people to a fight...specifically Witty Banter, who was going to take him up on it, but they lived too far apart. I'm pretty sure you were the one who told me that he faked his own death, but whatever, I don't give a shit. I was banned at the time. -

I remember when I was 14 and 1st started posting here, CJ use to call me "Carlton Banks", "Jonathan Coachman" and an "Uncle Tom" and such. Pretty ironic, because years later I started calling Black Lushus an "Uncle Tom", and "Stepin Fetchit". -
Has anyone see that "The Spectacular Spider-Man" DVD series? Is it worth downloading?

UFC 94 - Georges St. Pierre vs. BJ Penn II
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Mik's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Thats what depresses me the most, as a BJ fan. BJ is problay the most stubborn MMA fighter, ever. -
Lance Storm has a school in Calgary.

Next team Crennel coaches will be a dynasty, just watch! Both him and Belichick's 1st coaching gig was in Cleveland. Both only had one winning season with the Browns. Crennel will coach the next dynasty team in the NFL!
-
That made me chuckle.

Eric Mangini isn't doing horrible, he kinda got a raw deal with the Jets IMO.
-
Don't see the argument in this at all... Both had great teams, I doubt their would be much difference at all.

The Upcoming Shows/Rumored Fights Thread
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I'm pretty sure you could tell I was being sarcastic, when I was replying to LOTC's sarcastic post. Are you going through your emotional mood swings again? -
He won all his Vezinas after Roy, and Hasek were retired Brouders and Roys accomplishments are pretty much on par... What seperates them though is Roy's playoff accomplishments IMO. Me personally I can't stand Patrick Roy and have always been a fan of Brodeur. But I have to be unbiased and say he was the best goalie of my time. Then again there could be an arguement either way for Brodeur being the GOAT. Just guess it's personal opinion.

What makes the greatest goalie in history such a "weak ass"? Brodeur's not a weak-ass. Too bad Brodeur isn't the greatest goalie in history.
