UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar
Lt. Al Giardello replied to BruteSquad_BRODY's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
It's a tough fight to call... Randy hasn't been in the cage for over like 15 months, and he's 45. Lesnar is more powerful, more athletic, and very hungry to prove himself in the cage. Randy has never really displayed his BJJ skills in the past, but then again very fight Randy always comes out with something new. I always thought Randy couldn't crack an egg shell with his fists, yet in the opening seconds of the Sylvia fight he knocked him on his ass. Who knows, maybe Randy will pull off a spinning heel hook. The wrestling edge, I got to give it to Brock, while there credentials are pretty much similar, Brock should be able to just over power him. Standing up gotta give it to Randy, even though we've barely seen anything from Brock in the stand up department over then him one punching Mir and Herring and dropping them. If Lesnar can crack Randy, he's going to get rocked bottom line. But Randy has displayed good head movement in the past. Like I said, I can't really call this fight... -

What does Hockey Night in Canada have to do with his The Beast gimmick? It stands for Head Nigga In Charge... You giant n00b. -
Franca and all of American Top Team have big time beef... It had to do with Franca awarding Kurt Pellegrino his black belt in BJJ. And Ricardo Liborio the head BJJ instructor at ATT, has said that he can be the only one in ATT that awards black belts. Franca took offense to this and made a picture vandelizing the ATT symbol and sent it to Liborio.

Impact goes live for one night only on 10/23
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
No they don't... The best comparison was from John Cena during his feud with Booker for the US title in 2004, when he called him Busta Rhymes. Now they look a like. -
And the city of Montreal. Most people I know in Montreal want to see Anderson Silva knock his head off of his shoulders. The only people that don't, train with him. By all accounts, an arrogant dick. My cousins met him at the club more then once, and he said he's a cool guy. Same with GSP, and Loiseau... But but cousin says Goulet is an ass.

Rich Clementi's stand up is subpar... Gray stand up is getting better every fight, I think he would expose Clementi on his feet, but wont KO him because Clementi can take punishment. Clementi has solid wrestling himself, and I think he could catch Gray in a submission. Tough fight to call, I'm gonna say Gray by UD.

UFN 16 - Fight for the Troops
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Yeah man, I haven't seen it seen it since UFC 86 was live, but I still remember Lytle getting absolutely punished by Koschecks ground and pound for 3 rounds straight, there were times I thought the ref was going to stop the fight. -
Hilarous.... *unzips his pants*

Antwon was the best antagonist... His scene where he kills the little girl is still one of the creepiest and amazing scenes in Shield history. It was awesome when he said you Shane, "If I tell you to suck my dick, you say should I lick your balls to, daddy?". Kavanaugh was great to, but I never really considered him an antagonist.
-
Fixed... Thanks for pointing that out, I was stoned once again.

Dude, Koscheck didn't just outwrestle him, he was constantly punishing him with ground and pound for 3 rounds, straight. What fight were you watching? -
WWE To Now Exclusively Call Their Talent "Entertainers"
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I personally don't care about what they call them, I just think product is dissapointing right now, and can be potentially a lot better then it is. -
WWE To Now Exclusively Call Their Talent "Entertainers"
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I feel like one of the 1st times in my life that my interest for pro wrestling is starting to die. I can't bare to watch SD! and watch HHH run through every upper-midcarder who has a chance to make something fresh and new in the WWE. I flip through RAW every now and then to check out stuff from Punk, Orton, Kofi, Rhodes/Ted Jr./Manu, and Y2J... But I always tend to find myself watching MNF the majority of time during when RAW is on. There are replays, but after reading what happens during the show, it just basically makes me wanna not even bother. -
Junie Browning sucks.

MVP's current storyline is that he needs one more win to receive some perks from his contract, so expect to see him jobbing for the next few weeks atleast. Yeah, this why I don't watch SD! anymore. -
Well of course the Calgary Flames for my city... Even though the fanbase was dead from 1998-2003. It wasn't until 2004 our fans started loving the Flames again.

Koscheck said if he beats Alves without a suspension from the athletic comission or injury... He will still fight Yoshida in December, pretty ballsy move for Koscheck. He should gain everyones respect if he goes through with it. -
UFC 89: Bisping vs Leben
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
How many fights of Bisping have you seen? Did you even watch his last two fights before the Leben fight? Leben is a top 10-15 caliber fighter on a great night, and is known for having a big chin. It would be stupid if he fought Leben the same way he did against Jason Day, as Leben is a different fighter then he is, and can end the match at any moment. He's a fighter, and he came in with the right gameplan to WIN his fight and move up in the ladder in the middleweight division. You can't bash fighters for wanting to win their bouts and not playing into the strengths of their opponet, thats fucking retarded. Bisping knows he doesn't have even pop in his punches to hurt Leben, so why even try to finish him off throwing haymakers when there is a great possibility he can get rocked by one of Leben's haymakers? Leben didn't bash Bisping for his performance or his gameplan, EVERYONE EXPECTED BISPING TO FIGHT LIKE THIS. Anderson Silva backed up and countered Leben as well, but he was able to rock Leben, because A) He has more power in his punches, and B) He's a better striker then Bisping. Bisping had a lot riding on this fight, and it would be stupid if his trainer to not prepare that type of gameplan for Bisping. -
