Vandy is hanging A LOT closer with Michigan than I think anyone expected. If they had any kind of offense they'd be winning this game.

Oh, I thought it was recent, someone e-mailed it to me today and made it seem as if it just happened.

Punk gets the best crowd reaction of any non "ECW Original". -
His albums were worse than horrible so I doubt it mattered.

No, they should bring back Dominic, make him a wrestler and have Debra LaFave be his manager. -

Over/Under on how many shoot comments HBK and HHH make about ECW and/or RVD and/or everyone on the roster next week? I say 5 -
More than Roy Williams? Roy Williams isn't overrated. The hell he isn't....well maybe not ANYMORE since people have caught on. He's one of the best safeties in the league. He had a really bad game on a national stage last year, but that doesn't mean he gets burnt every week. This a quote about him from the 2006 Pro Football Prospectus.. "Roy Williams does not deserve all of the criticism he receives for his poor pass coverage. His Stop Rate of 43% ranked 6th among all safeties involved in at least 40 passing plays. Williams' biggest problem in pass coverage is that he gets little help from Keith Davis"

Montgomery really screwed up when he left Stanford for that shithole.

I know it's not techncially a fall show (it doesn't debut until January), but has anyone heard of this new show Traveler? I haven't heard much buzz about it yet (although I'd assume that will grow as it gets closer to it's debut), I've got to say that trailer looks amazing. It's definitely going to be on my list of 2006 stuff to watch

Triple H was interviewed in the October 2006 issue of WWE Magazine where he criticizes the internet once again, Hulk Hogan, and more. He commented on losing to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 12, the new DX, and more. Below are some of the interesting quotes of the piece: Q: Once and for all, say something to the wrestling websites that claim you're nothing but a power-mad, backstage dictator. Triple H - I haven't read a dirt sheet in 10 years. And that's the damn truth. Yes I'm in a top position. Yes I'm married to the boss's daughter. Yes I sit in production meetings. But, at the end of the day, there is only one person with the stroke in this business. And that's Vince McMahon. If he doesn't like something , whether it's my idea or not, it's not going to happen. I want guys like John Cena around. I want to bring new guys up and help make them. People always accuse me of not wanting to drop the belt to a guy. That's complete crap. I didn't drop the belt to RVD because no one asked me to drop it to RVD. I've yet to see Hulk Hogan lose to anybody. He wrestles once every 6 months, and it doesn't matter if you're the biggest name in active competition today, he's not going to lose to you. There was suppose to be a Hogan/Michaels 2, and Hogan was supposed to lose. All of a sudden his knee starting "bugging" him. Q: Since you were poised for a big break, does your embarrassing loss to the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 12 in 1996 still haunt you to this day? Triple H - Do people really think I thought I was going to beat the Ultimate Warrior? The fact of the matter is that he was a completely unprofessional dipsh*t. (Shawn Michaels Interjects: Don't talk about me like that!) That's what pisses me off about the match, not the fact that I lost. Triple H made one more reference to the internet: "One more thing for the internet haters.... It all stems from people who have opinions about the business they've never been involved in. And they're the same people waiting outside for my autograph after the show."

In 2003 Rodney Harrison was still an elite NFL safety, in 2006 Junior Seau is a washed up Linebacker who has been living off his name for at least the last four seasons.

Yes. He had his entire storyline ended in a nice package. Foley can look back and know he wrote another great storyline that didn't insult the fan's intelligence, made sense and had the logical points. Why don't those morons pay attention to Foley, I'll never get. The storyline was a fucking abortion. I'm sorry the story required understanding of depth and the ability to figure things out yourself but that's what quality writers (as far as pro wrestling writing goes) do. It was precise and detailed, which probably threw you off to begin with. Melina's involvment was neccesary because it represented alot of things in Mick Foley's character change. That was the FIRST step in the entire angle with Flair. Foley put over the changes that occured after the hardcore match at WM. He built his friendship with Melina over dating back months ago via his blog and then again on the air in his promos. Melina was always a presence in the story. Melina, represented something Foley never had before. It was never about sex or looks or anything like that, it was Foley's complete humanity for someone. All of this built to the fact that Foley is the eternal loser who will always be hurt at the end of it. The Flair involvement was designed around it and that part was delivered with success save for Flair's reduction in his promos thanks to the idiots in charge. The whole angle was simple, direct and logical. It wasn't over the top and it made sense. That is a lot more then you can get from anything else in the WWE. BTW, the morons I'm refering to are the writers in the back who could learn something from Foley. You don't have to like it, that's fine but don't call it an abortion when the storyline delivered on its purpose. The storyline did have a few flaws but as a whole it was better developed then pretty much any other storyline they have done in the past year. While they are trying to incorporate gags from movies for DX and to bury a dead man via his wife, they could stand to ask Foley "How you write something that makes sense?". I didn't read your piece of shit post and I hope nobody else does either. It was a horrible storyline and I suspect that you're a homosexual or a virgin for liking it LOL. Yeah, it was totally retarded though. Tonight especially. So Foley was a heel, who is friends with a heel (Melina), but he sees something in her that nobody else is able to see (the viewers have never been given any reason to believe Melina is anything other than the heelish/slutty persona she puts out on TV). They tie all this crap into a perfectly good Flair/Foley feud and completely ruin that. So now we have Foley quitting the match in defense of the heel Melina, and then tonight the crowd was supposed to feel sorry for Foley because he was willing to kiss Vince's ass to save the job of his heel friend Melina? Why would ANYONE in the audience give two shits if she was "fired"? Why would ANYONE in the audience give two shits if she WASN'T fired? Now the heel Melina turns on the heel Foley after he kissed the ass of the heel Vince and Melina is still a heel, and Vince is still a heel, and Foley is uhh... Who knows. I'm lost.

I don't care for Johnny Fairplay, but that's one of the dumbest things I've ever read Really stupid. Wouldn't he be more of a "mark" by saying, "I want to be on RAW because it's the top brand!"
-
Melina had heat on her for *supposedly* having an affair with Batista, not for "being shy".

Jeff Jarrett gets over the top reactions from everyone, that doesn't make him a good guy to lead your company.

Oh, I understand the story arc. I just don't care about it. It's weak. Foley's little fascination with Melina started as a "wink, wink", I can be funny on the Internet and curry favor from the smarks, too. The only problem is...it was overrated as fuck and nobody gave a damn about it in the first place. Foley erred, here. The liaison that Foley has with Melina reminds me of all the losers in high school and college who get LJBF'd (Let's just be friends) by the good-looking girls because they were either A) ugly or B) were frustrated chumps or C) dressed like shit. Au Contraire, as Foley is the loser, not Flair. Foley can be Melina's cuddle bitch all he wants, but he's never getting any of that pussy. Flair, the Alpha Male that he is, will get some and then some more while WOOOing after each orgasm. Putting aside the fact that Foley's actual wife is tremendously beautiful. That's the point. Foley is supposed to be that guy. He even said this straight out. The finish was great because it worked much more from a story point then some idiotic uneccesary holy shit bump. If you want senseless bumps, go watch CZW. The finish put over the brutality much more this way then a big bump ever would have. Look at how memorable this match will be despite the lack of a big bump. It was the intensity of the two guys and simplicity of the match that put it over. Almost similar to Blanchard/TA. Sure. Foley's wife is beautiful and way better looking in her prime than 90 percent of all WWE divas. But, Foley's wife is also classy; she is someone who finds male intellect and charm attractive, as opposed to ab definition. With such a storyline, you need a beautiful woman in the vein of Foley's own wife -- someone who neglects to show much skin and doesn't act like an attention whore. Unfortunately, Melina's characterization is that of a whore, attention whore, scantily-clad bimbo who readily shows her body parts to get a rise, if you will. She is grossly miscast for the role of the woman who appeals to Foley on a level that transcends sexuality. Why? Because she (her character, anyway) isn't innocent nor unaware of her power over men -- and those are the female qualities that provoke the protective and nurturing attributes in men. Think back to the promo where Foley mentioned his friend in the porno business, and said even though he's watched her movies before the thing that sticks out to him the most is her work with children in third world countries. Flair said that in his prime he would have nailed Melina and Foley said something along the lines of "that's the difference between you and me, Ric, you see Melina as nothing more than a conquest, to me she's a close friend". Hawk 34 is dead on with the whole point of the feud. Foley showed his human side and Flair has been driven to absolute violence. Melina is what has kept Foley from reverting back to Cactus Jack a la the Triple H feud in 2000 or whenever it was. A totally classy Liz-esque woman would defeat the purpose of it because Flair and his limosine ridin' character would more naturally align with or respect such a woman rather than threatening to beat her senseless with Barbie. You're looking at the Foley/Melina relationship the wrong way. It's not supposed to be sexual, that's why Nitro is still in the picture. It's not even supposed to transcend sexuality. Sexuality doesn't figure into their relationship at all. And pointing out that Melina is aware of her charms over men is pointless because there's been no interaction between her and Foley that has suggested they even flirt. Its not like she's using Foley as a henchman or something. Still makes no sense. So Foley sees something in Melina that Flair doesn't? Ok, that's fine and dandy, but when he is the only one in the world who sees it, then that creates a problem for your viewers. WWE fans have never been given any reason to believe that Melina has a heart of gold hidden under her heelish/slutty ways. And why is she a close friend? What do they have in common? How and when did they become friends? It seems like one day a few months ago, Melina just popped up during a Foley promo and he goes, "Oh yeah, and this is my friend Melina!" Flair-Foley had enough real life bitterness that had built up over the past 10+ years that it didn't need this manufactured nonsense thrown in. In all these weeks leading up to SS, all the talk every week was about how awesome and intense and "real" these Flair-Foley promos seemed, I can't recall anyone saying, "Man this Foley/Melina dynamic sure is rad, I can't wait to see where they go with it!" The WWE took a blood feud that basically writes itself last night and flushed it down the crapper.

I wouldn't mind seeing this card. I'm just wondering what your reasoning was for putting Test and Idol Stevens in the MITB. I haven't seen any of Idol. Is he really that promising? From what I've seen of Idol Stevens he seems to have some talent and tons of charisma, plus he has the look Vince likes. KC James seems really bland and I can see them splitting that team up before too long to get Idol his singles push. As far as Test, I just think the match needs one big guy to pull off some power spots. Powerbombing guys off the ladder or through a table or something. Although as EHME pointed out I forgot Lashley, so you could put Sandman or Dreamer in the MITB instead of Test, then put Lashley in Stevens' place as the power guy.

Main Event: Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan - Self explanatory. WWE Championship: John Cena© vs. Triple H - This was, IMO, one of the better Wrestlemania main events ever and the crowd reaction was insane. I'd like to see them do it again. World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Benoit© vs. Batista - Benoit returns from hiatus as a tweener on a mission to destroy everything in his path to the World Title. After winning it, Batista wins the Royal Rumble and faces him at WM. Interpromotional Match: Edge vs. Undertaker - Edge ends the streak. WWE Tag Team Championship - TLC: The Pitbulls © vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. Kendrick and London - this match would just be FUN. Shawn Michaels vs. Johnny Nitro: Nitro idolizes Michaels and is trying to be the "new HBK", Michaels sees this and takes him under his wing, briefly turning Nitro face.. Nitro quickly turns on him leading to a WM match that Nitro wins. Money In The Bank 3: Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Idol Stevens vs. Sabu vs. Test WWE United States Championship: Ken Doane © vs. Mr. Kennedy - Doane is the heel champion after coming over from RAW and he defends against newly turned face Mr. Kennedy. Interpromotional Match: Sylvester Terkay vs. Umaga - The "unstoppable force" of each show collide. Harry Smith vs. Randy Orton: This storyline pretty much writes itself. ECW World Title Match - Extreme Rules: Big Show © vs. RVD - The biggest match ECW could do besides Angle and RVD, which should happen at their December PPV. Submission Match: Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk - A feud most people want to see becomes a reality.
