I just rewatched RAW - did anyone else see this? There was a moment during the Flair promo, when he was holding a mic and Foley's book. He threw down the mic, and started talking into the book.

Far too much is put into winning championships, IMO. The QB is just one member of a team. And it's been proven that a mediocre QB can be enough to win championships. It's wrong that most people would say Brady has had a much more successful career than say Dan Marino. How can far too much be put into winning championships? Winning championships is the ultimate goal of sports. Yeah, it's a team thing, but Peyton Manning's problem with not winning championships has never been the team he's on, it's been the fact that he chokes in the playoffs every year. And the people calling Brady a system quarterback are totally clueless about the sport of football. He's already one of the best Quarterbacks to ever play the game. I can say he's a top 10 all-time QB without hesitation. And before anyone blasts me as being a "Pats homer", I'm a Cowboys fan.

Really? I thought I remembered one of the Time Warner people saying that their Roadrunner Internet wasn't available unless you ordered their digital cable service. Well shit, if I can get only Roadrunner then I might as well just cancel my digital cable now.

I'm on the verge of making the jump to Satellite. Time Warner blows ASS - no WWE 24/7, no NFL Network, no Sunday Ticket. Although I do like my Roadrunner Internet, and I don't think I can get that without having their digital cable.

I noticed Punk "borrowed" some japanese wrestler's moves. In that four minute match he used KENTA's slap-kick combo, Yuji Nagata's knee to the face in the corner, Tenzan's Anaconda Vice, and Keiji Mutoh's pose. Not that I care all that much, but wasn't there a report a while ago that the road agents were sour on him because they felt he was stealing moves from japan?

Ok, RAW just started here on the West Coast - Vince and Shane come out, all of the sudden the show cuts to Vince and Shane in the ring, with Shawn Michaels laid out in the ring, and the show ends. The screen goes blank for 10 seconds, the intro for whatever comes on after RAW starts - THEN the screen goes blank again, and now I'm sitting here watching HBK's promo from last week.

Ok, that's shit. Affeldt to the Rockies. Ned Colleti must be on the Devil Rays payroll. They've really given it to him with no lube on the trades he's done with them this year.

They won't make the playoffs. Their offensive line is terrible. Edgerrin will help the run game a bit, but he won't have his usual season behind that line. Plus, the QB's are going to get slaughtered.

I have Sirius so I listen to Howard Stern in the morning, Jim Breuer in the afternoon. When I'm not listening to them it's all NFL Radio mostly - their training camp coverage owns so far. I don't listen much to terrestrial radio, although I do catch a few sports talk shows from time to time. I used to listen to Dave Smith all the time when he was local here in LA, his show just went national on Sporting News Radio and I don't like it as much anymore, still decent though. Colin Cowherd is another guy I listen to sometimes.

USC and Texas have good coaches, so I don't expect them to fall flat on their face. As far as young players go, that's not really the case. Inexperienced? Yes, but it isn't like they're throwing true freshman out there. That is what happened with the defense last year,and this year they have a crapload of talented young players who have some gametime experience. On the entire team, they didn't lose anyone that is totally irreplacable except for Reggie Bush, but how many teams have a Reggie Bush on their team? Not many. Aside from Adrian Peterson, there isn't one player on the Oklahoma offense that I'd choose over their counterpart on the USC offense.
