There have been a lot of rumors of Eddie Murphy doing another Beverly Hills Cop, although I'm not sure if he fits in the aging hollywood star category yet.

It's funny how the Ultimate Warrior writes all that shit and makes only a couple of good points surrouded by all that mindless drivel. However, I do admire the fact that he has been able to to seperate himself entirely from the WWE and doesn't need to come crawling back to Vince like most everyone else does.

I saw an episode of Mind of Mencia last night and I thought it was pretty damn funny. Still cant replace Chappelle though.

Right, but when they first became Fox Sports Net their aim was to overtake ESPN as the top sports network. They figured they would do that with the nationally broadcasted sports recap shows and then regional NBA and MLB games. They hired Keith Olbermann and Chris Meyers, put them on the National Sports Report which ran head to head with Sportscenter in most markets.. gave Olbermann his own national show, etc. ESPN continued killing them in the ratings and FSN eventually ditched that whole idea, and stuck to total regional programming (southern california sports report, rocky mountain sports report, etc.)

When FSN first started out they weren't a regional network. They had the "National Sports Report" and a few other shows like that, and then had the regional MLB and NBA games. But they were mainly going heads up at ESPN trying to be the #1 sports network, when that failed they ditched the National Sports Report and went entirely to regional coverage, except for a couple of shows (best damn sports show, beyond the glory)

It didn't work when Fox Sports Net tried it with an entire MLB and NBA lineup backing them, complete with popular anchors from ESPN, and it won't work now with Comcast.

I'm hoping they are doing this type of stuff to throw people off about Shawn's turn.. then in the actual match it self he just goes full blown heel and starts destroying Hogan with chairs and shit.. kind of like the Austin-Rock match at X-7.

Sometimes Kimmel will get a big name (well not a huge megastar, but like a Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell level guy). But I think the idea with a lot of his guests are that he gets guests he thinks younger people will relate to more instead of a lot of bland hollywood stars just plugging shit - like he gets Mike Tyson, who never appears on any other talk shows, various music artists (Slash, Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Snoop Dogg, etc.) And I know those guys play music on other shows, but rarely actually sit on the sofa and talk to the host.

Well Comedy Central and CBS are both under the Viacom wing, plus Stewart just seems like the logical replacement, so that's why I named him. He's now garnered enough popularity and name value to take over for Letterman. I doubt Kilborn would replace him, I just don't see why they'd bring him back and why he'd want to go back. I think that job will definitely belong to Colbert. I only listed Carson as a replacement for Conan because they seem to be trying to make his show "bigger" now. They moved him out to LA and gave him this big fancy new set, etc. but yeah, him and his show just aren't funny at all. Forgot to mention Jimmy Kimmel before.. I think he's a funny guy and his writing team is excellent but something about his show is off, I just can't figure out what it is. Maybe it's just the fact that it's still hard to picture him as a legitimate late night talk show host.

While watching Conan tonight I just felt like making a random Late Night talkshow post to discuss the present and future of the various talk shows. David Letterman...I'm assuming will probably retire a couple of years. Replacement I'm going to assume will be Jon Stewart, seems like Viacom is grooming him for that spot. If/When Stewart leaves the Daily Show.. maybe Stephen Colbert takes over? Leno is retiring in 5 years..Conan takes over, hopefully Carson Daly DOESN'T take over Conan's slot, as he is just fucking awful. Maybe Andy Richter can take over Conan's slot, but that time he'll have realized he has no career outside of hosting a talk show. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson has GOT to go. That guy is terrible, who the hell thought it was a good idea to hire that guy? DL Hughley would have been much better. Although that entire show has been plagued by horrible guests and writing, even since Kilborn started. CBS needs to ditch him soon and get some comedian to take over that show.

Fall Out Boy

Finally played it for an extended period the last couple of days. Running the ball is WAY too freaking easy. If your RB has speed above 90 and you bounce a run outside you are pretty much guarenteed 7-8 yards. CPU passing is cheesy as hell too.. they will throw up lobs and pull them down in a crowd of about 3-4 defenders. I dont get why EA keeps fucking with the gameplay.. NCAA 04 was in my eyes the best football game ever, period. But its gone downhill the last 2 years. Its a decent game if you can find the right sliders but i'll be taking it back when Madden comes out.

I saw this post on another board and thought it was pretty interesting. Over the years Vince has "taken care" of certain guys his dad told him to watch over when he died. So when Vince dies who do you think he will have Shane and Stephanie do the same for? My guesses would be.. The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Ric Flair(because of HHH)..others that I'll have to think of later.

I was just reading ESPN magazine and they listed all the magazines Michael Jordan has appeared on the cover of, and WWF Magazine was listed? I was a subscriber of WWF Mag from about 1993 to 2000 and I don't ever remember him being on the cover.. does anyone have a picture of this cover if it exists?
