So did the Chicago Bulls at one time. That was a joke franchise before...

I'm not 100% sure I should post this in the WWE folder, but, the mods can just move it if it doesn't belong. CW network to replace WB, UPN CBS, Warner Bros. announce plans for new network to debut in September. January 24, 2006: 11:31 AM EST NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Warner Brothers and CBS Corp. announced plans Tuesday for the creation of a new broadcast television network, called CW, that would replace the WB and UPN networks in the fall of this year. The new broadcast network, to be called the CW Network, will draw on programming from both WB and UPN, including such shows as "Gilmore Girls" and "Everybody Hates Chris." Prime time programming with target the profitable 18-34 age group, officials of Warner and CBS said. http://money.cnn.com/2006/01/24/news/compa...dex.htm?cnn=yes

*SPOILER* No Way Out Main Event Revealed
MikeJordan23 replied to ANKLELOCK's topic in The WWE Folder
I disagree. I think an Undertaker title reign would be pretty profitable if done properly. He hasn't been champion for a lonnnnnng time. There's a lot of fresh feuds he could have over the World Title (Benoit, Booker T., Angle, Rey Misterio, Batista when he returns) -
My friend worked for Roc-A-Fella, she said as soon as they signed Cam'ron the tension within the label started. And you talking about "Let Me Know" right? He also dissed Drag-on and Mase on that song.
-
Jay has nothing to do with Cam'ron's career. Cam started rapping with Big L, then got signed to Un cause Biggie heard him and thought he was great, and got signed to Roc cause Dame Dash had been his manager/friend since he was 16.
-
Agree with your underrated minus SS 95 and disagree with your overrated. Best PPV of 1999
-
Jay might get him, but regardless, this track is pretty vicious.
-
His promos during his fueds with Rock and Michaels are as close to a "money drawing promo" as I've ever heard. "This is not a joke! I am not a joke you stupid son of a bitch!"
-
WTF how'd I forget Jake the Snake...Damn. He's definitely in the top 10, if not top 5.
-
s60.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=12Q5YSR5REKE73IW3QC5NVWQ1E Jay has to respond, right? Either way, this is hilarious. So many quotables.

Arn Anderson at one time was cutting the best promos in the business.
-
Only counting wrestlers 1) The Rock 2) Ric Flair 3) Steve Austin 4) Arn Anderson 5) Mick Foley 6) Jerry Lawler 7) Chris Jericho 8) Rowdy Roddy Piper 9) Hulk Hogan 10) Raven New Jack has cut some of the best, most memorable promos I ever heard. But he relies too much on shock for me to rank him properly.

Last PPV (OR the one before). He used the name Chris K or something. Decent match.

Blah, they already did that.

The "Mark Henry?" sign is classic.

From ESPN.com CINCINNATI -- Carson Palmer's knee injury was "devastating and potentially career-ending," involving numerous ligament tears, a shredded ligament, damaged cartilage and a dislocated kneecap, his surgeon said Thursday. Carson Palmer Quarterback Cincinnati Bengals Profile 2005 SEASON STATISTICS Att Comp Yds TD Int Rat 509 345 3731 32 12 101.1 The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback tore ligaments in his left knee when he was hit by Pittsburgh's Kimo von Oelhoffen on his first pass during the Steelers' 31-17 playoff victory Sunday. The team announced that he had torn the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments. The damage was much more extensive and severe, but Dr. Lonnie Paulos said surgery went well and Palmer could be back for the start of the season. Palmer had surgery Tuesday in Houston. Doctors used grafts from other parts of his body and donated tissue to fix the damage during an operation that lasted more than two hours. Palmer headed back to California on Thursday to do his rehabilitation. "It's not just like it was a torn ACL," Paulos said Thursday, in a phone interview from Houston. "It's a magnitude more difficult to recover from and repair. It can and has ended careers, without a doubt. "However, I feel very comfortable with Carson as an athlete and the heart that he's got. In the end, that's the bottom line. I can see the look in his eye already. He's ready to get going," he said. Paulos, an orthopedic surgeon who has worked with the U.S. Ski Team since 1983, replaced the anterior cruciate ligament, which runs through the middle of the knee and provides stability. He said the medial collateral ligament, which runs along the side of the knee, was damaged "real bad." "On a scale of one to three, it was a four," he said. "It was off the chart. It was pretty badly damaged -- shredded is the better term." The kneecap dislocated when Palmer was hit, damaging tissue around it. There was also some cartilage damage, he said. Paulos was able to repair the knee without removing pieces of cartilage or soft tissue, a good sign. "The things that were torn could be repaired," he said. "They were not torn beyond repair. So he's got all his parts in there, which is good. We're optimistic, actually." If rehabilitation goes well, Palmer could be running in a couple months and might be able to play in the first regular-season game, Paulos said. The 2006 schedule hasn't been set. Palmer has worn a protective brace on the left knee since he sprained it near the end of the 2004 season. The knee bowed inward on von Oelhoffen's hit even though Palmer was wearing the brace. "The brace didn't function well in this environment and should have done better than it did, frankly," Paulos said. The plan is for Palmer to wear more substantial braces on both knees when he returns. "No brace is perfect," Paulos said. "No brace can prevent every injury, but they do help." Paulos saw the replay of the injury and wasn't surprised at the extent of the damage it caused. Palmer has absolved von Oelhoffen, saying he didn't think the lineman was trying to hurt him. The lineman said he was trying to sack Palmer, not injure him. He wasn't penalized for the hit. Palmer made the Pro Bowl in only his second season as a starter, throwing an NFL-leading 32 touchdown passes. The club extended his contract through the 2014 season. Jon Kitna, who has been Palmer's backup and mentor the last two years, can become a free agent. Palmer's injury will force the Bengals to make sure they have another reliable quarterback on board.

I like the idea of the winner of the Royal Rumble winning it like they did with Ric Flair in 1992. Would've made the show more interesting and had a better build up. Oh well.

The Kurt Angle interview from last night - MP3

It says it's unavailable. -
My fault, this thread must've been posted when I was posting mine. Yeah, that Flair/Vader definitely needs to be on there. And I'd like more Sting/Flair and Flair/Luger stuff. Those were some of my favorite feuds as a child.

"WWE announced a second Ultimate Ric Flair collection DVD for this year" This great news. I thought the first one was easily one of the best DVDs they ever released, but they couldn't get everything in. Hopefully they can get a lot of his other great matches they missed on the first one. Flair's career's spanned so long and has had so many highlights, you could probably make another 3 Disc DVDs after this one.

Mr. Perfect return at Survivor Series 1995

That's a good verse too. I just like the more raw stuff (Kool G. Rap, Big Pun, Ras Kass, old Cam, Big L, Nasty Nas) etc...but yeah, I can appreciate a good verse like that, I just don't like other aspects of his rhyming more than his lyrics. It's his voice and delivery that's really a turn off to me.

He didn't get shot in the head, he made that up (Hospital confirmed that). Suge set them both up. Read the book "LAbyrinth" by Randall Sullivan. Or just read the Rolling Stones magazine from last month when they broke down every aspect of the case, and all trails lead to Suge Knight. All trails. It's almost beyond speculation it's so obvious. The coverups, the lies, the money, the amount of people who admit to their involvement and that Suge paid them, the people he confessed the murders to in prison, the police officers involved in the coverups. Too much shit. And Orlando Anderson was just some they can use as a "suspect".

Feuds That Could Have Happened But Never Did
MikeJordan23 replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
1993: Mr. Perfect vs. Razor Ramon. That would've been a great feud after Flair left, Razor being Hennan's guy to get revenge on Hennig. The Narcissist vs. Bret Hart for the world title. Would've been a good feud. It looked like they were leading towards that when he attacked Bret at the WM brunch, but nothing but some house show matches (They might have wrestled once on Wrestling Superstars or something or another). WCW Sting vs. Steve Austin in 1995 for the U.S. Title. They had this match on WCW Satruday Night I remember it I loved it. I always thought that would've been a good feud.
