I've never heard of a better "cure" for this problem other than the one I went through. Complete failure at a major endeavor (living out and going to college). Nothing chases the insanity blues away like a good hitch on the streets with no food. When you're lucky to get one package of Ramen a day, you instinctively start to get it figured out.
