Not being part of the IWC in 97. I still VIVIDLY remember my buddy running up to me in the schoolyard on the morning of Nov. 10/97. I was sure Montreal was another part of the storyline, and it would lead to a Owen /Bulldog vs DX tag match the following night on Raw the morning. In the same vain, anyone who's not a part of the IWC, this topic would probably apply to them during the Flair-Foley fued this summer.

So, I can't cuss for a week...

That Asian is worth it (I'm a little biased, as that's the only race I've yet to sleep with...and I'm expecting to find the Fountain of Youth first). So, the French expression "Tabernacle" (pronounced, and most fun to say, 'Taaaaberrrrnaaaaaaaaack") will do the trick. Good luck on this week. I can't remember going longer than an hour. -
My boy Joe Niuewendyk has retired due to lingering back problems.

That was a national broadcast. What home team bias? Really? I'll put some mayonnaise on the foot I'm eating then. That still seemed awfully one-sided.

Depends on the placement of the kids. I'd like to think the first kid at me could easily be picked up and swung around, causing a domino effect, or at least used as a battering ram. Assuming that's cheating.....I'll say 18-25. That cup alone, I think, is what puts me in double digits.

Check out highlights of the Hawks-Wild shootout. I don't even know who got the winner, but you'll never find such homer-ism from an announcer ever again. Granted, it was a beautiful goal, and I don't mind a little home-team bias from a play-by-play guy, but I'm drawing the line, spin-o-rama or not, at "Take THAT, Denis Savard!" - Points in four straight for the Chitown. Treble and Barron, is your finger on the panic button yet?

That's interesting. I like that proposal. I think every team should host every other team once. I don't know, though, why they don't just adopt an NBA-style schedule. The leagues are structured exactly the same. You'd think Gary Bettman would have thought of that. Pardon my basketball ignorance...what do you mean by NBA-style?

Thanks, Czech. New out of the BOG meetings: -Absolutely no to the changing of the playoff format, in the sense that 1-8 would automatically play 4-5 in the second round, and 2-7 play 3-6....which I liked. - Cap to go up, anywhere between 46-47.5 million, next Canada Day. - Depending on who you ask, progress/no progress made in a new schedule. They'll re-discuss it in January during the All-Star break. One idea, The Score reports, that made some talk was six against each divisional team (32), then one home and one away against every other team.

Were they ever sold? I might be thinking of Anaheim, but I remember them being put up for sale a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure they were indeed re-bought....but that might be the Ducks I'm thinking of.

Full Screen, Widescreen or Widescreen?
CanadianGuitarist replied to Craig Th's topic in Television & Film
I don't mind 1.78, and I can get used to 2.35, but I prefer 1.33. Of every ten DVD's I sell at work, 8 to 9 are 1.33 where applicable. Customers seem to HAAAAAAAATE widescreen. -
Brett Hull gets his number retired tonight in St. Louis. Maybe more than 5,000 people will show up. A few games should be one sided, based on history tonight (Avs/Blue Jackets, Sabres/Bolts), but I'm interested to see how the Thrash/Leafs and Blues/Wings go...The Leafs and Wings have dominated their respective series, but are coming off losses in said series.

I don't know...a win is a win, albeit an ugly win. I certainly wouldn't fear Boston if I were a top four team at this point, but if Thomas keeps it up, there's no reason to think the Bears can't get into the post-season.
-
They did re-take the lead for about two minutes of game time. Stuart made it 5-4, but Souray tied it up on the pp. Five different scorers for each team.

Fuck, I was riding high a month ago after crawling my way back to 500.. How'd the interview go, kkk?

Sorry to split hairs...but "I wonder who will goaltend" isn't really a question. It's an interrogative statement, however. I'm really looking forward to the Bruins-Habs game tonight. Boston's hot, and Thomas is really starting to show some mettle. On the other hand, the B's have lost seven of eight and six straight to the Habs, who are also on a tear. Throw in the Original Six factor, and I'm expecting a great clash.

Meh. There's enough symbolism in his acts, and he has made every effort to follow up on his campaign promises.

Canadians open to Dion The line about how much media coverage the Grits have had over the last week trumps, but a 38 percent lead is surprising, when, *swallows* Harper has done a pretty good job so far.

What a game at the Bell, and I'm not just saying that because Im a Habs fan. It was video game hockey during the last two periods after a disgraceful first by the Habs,

No man should do this. Unless they shit standing up as well. -
Hmm...Florida can't score, Vancouver can't score, the Leafs and Habs are averaging two a game this week. I realise it's a dry spell for a few teams over the course of six or seven days, but I'm expecting a lot of panicky panellists coming out of the woodworks this weekend.

Marion Hossa's second goa of the eveningl, a beautiful 3-on-2, gives Atlanta a 2-0 lead with eighteen to play, give him the lead in goals and ties him for the lead in points.
