"That one's so old, last time I laughed at it, I fell off my dinosaur!"
-
I honestly can't remember much of that episode except for that one line which I fell in love with, because I haven't seen it since it first aired. SHAKAZULU! in surprise did it for me.
-
I know this sounds gay, but he's a lot less likeable as a union rep compared to a player. And by "union rep", I mean "without a moustache".
-
ATL/BAL/NE/KC/GB/CHI/IND/MIN/NWO/NYJ/DAL/PIT/TB/ARI/DEN/SF St. Louis scores 10. Good luck, all.

Edit: Change of plans. Larry Burns was hailed as a great pick when he went early in the character draft. I'll do the same here.
-
I'm essentially the same, but I like a rye and ginger every now and then, plus I'll have a Tootsie Roll or Screwdriver every Christmas.
-
Let me know how Jericho's book is. I remember saying he was the perfect spokesperson for wrestling after Benoit, when all these news outlets were talking to former grapplers. Bret's book is phenomenal: Has some great stories, he's brutally honest, a little self-serving at times, but not to the point of arrogance. Magnificent book altogether.

Yes. No. Cassel still has Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and the same offensive line. Anyone's producing with that protection and arsenal. Fuck him. Coach of the Year SHOULD be between Belichick and Mike Smith. Cassel doesn't even need to be in MVP talks. I don't see how Belichick should be COTY if Miami ends up winning the division after being 1-15 last year. Sparano needs to be in this discussion for sure. I retract my previous statement. I completely overlooked Sparano - the turnaround of the Dolphins season is likely to be very unfairly forgotten if the Pats win the division. Given the treatment of the Pats '07 campaign, I guess things are kind of coming full circle. On that note, there's a lot of teams that are going to be remembered for being let-downs this year, compared to how many will be represented as pleasant surprises: Atlanta, Miami. Tennessee will be overlooked after starting 10-0, the Bills will be remembered for blowing a 5-1 start, Detroit is Detroit, there's nothing salvagable about the West divisions. What a bleak picture I'm painting.

STL @ ATL - Potential for the division is on the line for the Falcons. CHI @ HOU - It's kind of funny to say that a 7-9 Houston team is disappointing. NYG @ MIN - Home field is officially locked for the Giants, and being on the road, I see them taking a breather in this one. The Vikings need it. CAR @ NO - I agree with CabbageBoy. CLE @ PIT - They'll probably gear down, but Cleveland looked awful last week. Even if the Steelers don't use their starters, they should beat Cleveland. OAK @ TB - Last gasp, and they need help. The schedule is help enough. TEN @ IND - Hunch. DET @ GB - Ain't gonna happen. 0-16. NE @ BUF - Exclamation point to win the division. Buffalo deserved their win last week, but they haven't even come close to beating the Pats over the last few seasons. KC @ CIN JAC @ BAL MIA @ NYJ - They'll still need some help from Jacksonville (New England will have the division crown by the time this game kicks off), but with the potential for a playoff spot still there, Favre steps it the fuck up. It'll be moot, though, as Baltimore will also win. SEA @ ARI - Been iffy the last few weeks, but they build a little of that October momentum to start the playoffs. WAS @ SF - Power of the stache. It's not working for the Senators, but Washington's been a mess for the last little bit, compared to the improving Niners. DAL @ PHI - Upset. DEN @ SD - As a Raiders fan, I'd like for them to somehow both lose. San Diego's got a tonne of momentum from winning three in a row, they're at home, and they should have won in week 2. San Diego keeps my ballsy prediction entact.

To be fair to Bettman, it wasn't a bad idea trying teams in the SunBelt, specifically in the mid 90's when hockey was at its peak. It was a bad idea to continually try it. Anaheim had some success for a few years, San Jose and Tampa aren't doing too badly. But, and I know I've beat this dead horse before, the whole thing strikes me as Bettman refusing to admit he made a mistake more than anything else. Where was this financial help in the mid 90's when Quebec and Winnipeg needed it?

Trash of the Titans just occured to me today. I went through an online episode guide to start compiling a shot list; I hadn't made it as far as season 8, but I knew TotT was good. This is a very proud day for all of us, especially me .
-
Bastard.
-
I haven't had this problem personally, but we actually have a press release from September at work to the same effect; I'll print it off and let you know over the next few days.
-
Now there's a beach ball on the field! And the ballboys are discussing which one of them is gonna go get it! That was the only pick since my last one that wasn't on my shortlist. Fuck! I'll again say "I'm surprised this one's still available". We, perhaps, do not like Roy after all. Bart's inner child.
-
Excellent pick. My likely most-used line is also from that episode, "possi-bli".
-
Huge blow to Columbus and its Calder candidate: Derrick Brassard's out for the season.
-
Can we start the Week 17 thread soon? I'd really like to brag about my week 12 prediction of San Diego making the playoffs.
-
It's been fixed in the updated standings, but I won the tiebreaker (my four to Devo's seven). Oh, how sweet this victory would have been two weeks ago. I sincerely thought I was going to run the table.
-
There's a lot of really really good episodes still up for grabs, many of which are kind of surprising. For example, The Otto Show. "Well, you failed every segment, and misspelled 'bus' on your application". Every single Spinal Tap line is funny.
-
How is that?
-
Fantastic pick. I mentioned this during the Simpson Character draft: "Ya wanna stop calling me Mr. Moe? No." is one of my favourite Moe lines.

The new host of the Price is Right is...
CanadianGuitarist replied to Mik's topic in Television & Film
Upon further review, it is. I must have confused it with another TPiR thread, because I distinctly remember Hoff saying he wanted to Tivo it daily, but it was all the way across the room. </slayer>. I do recall Hoff giving a detailed description of what he thought of DC as the host, though. Maybe it was "Why The Fuck Do They Let Old People On", which is one of my all-time favourite threads. Quasi-related: Earlier in the week, I said "The Drew Carey Show is one of my favourite sitcoms ever, if not number one". -
I was at work for a dumb shift of 730pm-1130pm, thus missing the Leafs and Habs. How did Kovalev's goal look? And can someone explain to me how the Leafs got seven on the Pens?
