I'd mark for weeks if it were Dusty, but my money's on JBL. OR! Vince will come out and put it off all night, usurp the main event, and we'll somehow be expected to forget about it next week.

The Ultimate Mario Bros. Showdown

No warping. Despite, however, my troubles in 1-2 (before heating up and going four straight before getting killed), 4-1 is surpsingly tough. -

Also, we had considered a race, but this brings up a double edge sword of the slot game between stages. Should we be punished for trying to gain more lives just in case? -

Wasn't even the fire-breathing Birdo. Because he's down 1-0, we've agreed before the series that he is now, as I barked at him while drunk last weekend, Joe Amateur. -
The Canes just fanned on two glorious chances, but they're now all over the Sabres. Still 3-3, with half of this penalty killed.

3-3. This has been a really good paced third. It's basically video game hockey at this point.

Since nearly everything in our lives becomes a pissing contest, we decided to settle a Mario Bros. debate the old-fashioned way: Bloodshed. I heart Luigi. Always have. I'd always used him in Mario 2 out of loyatly, which came up in discussion at work one day. He said he always liked the Princess, on the grounds she could float, unlike Luigi's slippery landing. I maintained it was an acquired talent, and he was both an idiot and a pussy. Which led to the Best of 3 Mario 2 Showdown. Three lives. Whoever gets further with their respective character gets ten Mcdonald's sundaes and either a free beer or JD/coke at this weekend's drinking bonanza. I lead 1-0. Made it to 2-3, despite losing two lives in 1-2. He was defeated by Birdo in 2-2. Discuss.

Fear Havoc's signature deserves a nod. ALSO, YouthNAsia's Tom/Jerry was gold. And I believe it was he who had a sig back in the day with Mario losing to a Goomba?

Thats Birch? I always thought it was Mena Suvari..

And a good choice, apparently. Ward probably needed the rest after 12 straight, and Gerber makes 22 saves for his first playoff win ever.

In March 2004, I drove off by legit accident without paying. No threats, or anything, but they did tell my stepdad. I wen tback the following day, which I would have anyway. Its worth noting that at that point, a price of 85 cents a litre was absolutely outrageous to evem fathom.

That suggestion to drive through Cleveland and around Lake Erie wasn't all that bad. Detroit doesnt have much that interests me, and you'd be cutting through cottage country of Ontario, which can get boring and SLOOOOOOOOOOW. It can't be that long through the former, I used to date a Cincinnatian. It took 12 hours by bus from Niagara Falls to Cincy, and I'd say 3.5-4 of that was layovers/customs. And I deeply regret not seeing Cleveland more.

Debut of Fake Razor. Somehow just as bad as it was 9-1/2 years ago.

Fuckin eh! I thought i was the only one who remembered this one: Taka/Bradshaw, Midnite Express, I think the RNR....prolly Headbangers.....That was a great Raw all around, with Kane/Austin fighting on top of the HIAC and Taker crawling from under the ring to fight Mankind and rough-up Paul Bearer. Also a really good HHH-Xpac KOTR qualifier that saw Owen/Rocky interfere.

While I'll be the first to say that Stanley Cup > Olympic Medal, Martin Gerber has the more impressive resume just based on his stellar play in the Olympics. Although, Ward's WHL success is nothing to sneeze at. On a similar note, tsn.ca is suggesting that Giguere will be starting tomorrow.

Ever been to the Tops there? Yikes. Yeah, even if you can get to a restaurant across town in NF, Ont., you'll save some money. Baron, remember Al Mac's? Of course you do. There's all kinds of cool stuff to do in the Canadian falls.

I'm hoping I'm not being viewed as a Cole fan because his name appears in my signature. I always liked Steve Armitage, as well, but Hughson has been gravy. Still, I think Cuthbert is my favourite, but he's been tough to handle as he;s been with either Healy or the even more hatable Pierre McGuire lately.

The Catch as Catch Can Match: Dean Malenko takes on Kidman in a match in which you lose if you hit the floor. Unfortantely, Dean forgets, and the match ends 90 seconds in. Whoops! There we go. That's latter days WCW, I guess.
-
I wanna say it was Dean vs Rey., but that's grabbing at straws. Im gettin this off wrestlecrap now.
-
^ Wasn't there a match in 97 where it was supposed to be over the top disqualification, and it wound up ruining some really good on paper match? Wcw? I thinnnnnnnnnnnnnk it was on Wrestlecrap.

The Goon's crosscheck. Next. -
I was on top..if we could have just turned 180 degrees..... Oh well. We argued (see LSD thread) and I did get to see the scary ending. Anyone else notice that CBC seemed to say a lot "And now the Ducks go down 3-0", instead of the mentiong an Oil win?

Toronto is a great city. Niagara Falls, about 150 kilometres away, is a great tourist town, with lots of do. There's a tonne of history in Fort Erie/Ridgeway/Crystal Beach(though it's hicktown now) about 25 kilometres past that. The drive is boring as fuck, but Niagara Falls is great. Czech, I'm a touch scared you know to such precision where Baron and I live. He's in Muskoka for the summer, howveer.
