Is Smackdown better than Raw right now?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
That's like saying getting shot by a sniper from a mile away is a little better than getting shot by a madman in front of you. If the show was good, it would be good with or without the spoilers. -

I loved the main event, but I'm a big Couture fan, so I'm naturally going to like him grounding and pounding Vitor into a bloody mess. Not to mention the great visual of Couture's white trunks slowly turning into pink ones from all of the blood. -
When was he shoved down our throats ? And what push has he recieved ? Being stuck in the midcard with no real feuds ? And when did Hunter put him over ? He blew Benjamin off like he was nothing when Benjamin asked for a rematch. Hunter didn't put Benjamin over a lick. He laid down for him. Big difference.

UFC 49 is my favorite UFC of the last couple of years. A great atmosphere, a very entertaining undercard complete with the greatest high kick in UFC history by Yves Edwards, and a great main event. What did you think of the other fights RRR ? -
Because it was such a phenomenal success last time(!). And who do they plan on building around ? DDP ? Scott Hall ? I hear Lex Luger is available for work. Maybe they can drag Buff Bagwell out of rehab.

He could always use a wrist clutch exploder suplex, and he'd look like he'd be dropping people on their head. As for his potential, if this was a fair world, it would be limitless, and he'd have a genuine shot at getting a real run with the World Title. As it is, unless he gets put back on Smackdown, his potential is limited to that of being a future jobber for Triple H in a World Title program so Hunter can get to #17.

That's the infamous Ian Rotten v Mad Man Pondo scissors deal from a CZW card a few years ago.

The other two choices at the time the decision was made to go with Vince were Mick Foley and Steve Austin. -
ECW: Is it the future brand of pro wrestling?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
Ok, that was a good one. Because if the PPV does too well, then a lot of ego's are going to get flattened, and a lot of questions are going to get asked. It's vital for the insecurities of a lot of people in WWE that ONS doesn't do that well, if it does well at all. First, neither Dreamer nor Heyman are booking the entire show. It's a WWE run show written primarily by WWE people with primiarily WWE talent. Some ECW guys are working the PPV, and while the matches involved could be good to great, the chances aren't high that WWE are going to let non-WWE guys steal the show on what is, in reality, a WWE PPV. If making it clear to everyone that the extreme rebels are owned by the very person who they were portrayed as fighting against hasn't killed the angle, it's put it on life support. They didn't even allow for the illusion of this being a rebel production with rebel talent. It's already been made quite clear that this thing is only happening because Vince is being gracious enough to allow it. This venture already has major credibility issues to it. If the matches were, even by your own admission, crappy, why would anyone want to see a PPV whose very flavor was hinted at with those crappy matches ? And why would any mark or casual fan want to see a PPV that's been promoted with WWE Hardcore-Lite action, when they've seen the same level of 'hardcore' on WWE TV for the last six years ? Maybe if the matches had some ECW level of hardcore action, it might attract a few people, but it hasn't, so it won't, because it's nothing that they haven't seen already. As for the hardcore ECW fans, they, like most people, have already realised that this PPV won't be anything like the ECW they remember, because it's not ECW. It's a WWE PPV with WWE talent writen by WWE writers. that just happens to have a few ECW names added to it. -
Hunter is going to lock Batista in a 6x6 prison cell, and force him to watch a perpetually looped tape of Hunter v Shawn's HIAC match from last year. That would really be hell in a cell.

Jasmine would know about opening ones self up.

It's The Fonz on steroids.

According to Meltzer just now on LAW, it isn't a done deal, and the points of contention that are holding it up aren't small ones. He also said TNA is internally expecting the deal to come through, and that it could be announced as soon as Tuesday, but it isn't a certainty by any means.

Vader from 1992-1993.

Undertaker wrestled during WWF's tour of Japan in May, and did a shot in HoUndertaker wrestled during WWF's tour of Japan in May, and did a couple of shots in Guam and Honolulu shortly after as well. As for why he was out, it was nothing specific as much was it was just to give his body a rest. I also think he was going through some personal issues at home as well.

I'm surprised anyone hanging around Jasmine for any length of time has anything left to give a urine test with.

I don't think getting rid of the Jarrett's would work. If Sting was that keen to work, he would have done so, with or without the Jarrett's. If getting rid of the Jarrett's was a dealbreaker, Sting hasn't made mention of it. And even Sting did come on board, it's questionable what effect he'd really have.

Vince being the Higher Power was a last minute decision, so it's somewhat forgivable for it being obvious and coming off like one big swerve. -
Sting doesn't want to wrestle full-time for TNA, and I don't think he's that keen on working for the Jarrett's anymore as it is. He only wrestled for them because he felt he owed Jerry Jarrett something over helping him start in the business, and once Sting wrestled enough times to 'pay off his debt', he felt that was enough, and he's rebuffed any attempts made since to get him back.

I wonder, then, what was the plan if Austin had been fit to go? Would Trips have went over(cancelling TBS's short reign) or would Austin have went over, perhaps to build to a WM2000 match with Rocky? If Austin had been fit, the plan was for Hunter to pin Rock after Austin would accidentally hit Rock, to play off of the No Mercy match the month before, where Rock accidentally hit Austin which lead to Hunter pinning him. Hunter would have wound up dropping the WWF Title back to Austin at the Rumble, and Austin would have then dropped it to Rock at WM XVI. Hunter's had a long time MO of burying people to Vince that he sees as threats to his spot as the top guy in the company, and Cena is showing signs of being a legit threat to his spot, so if this report isn't true now, it soon will be.

How exactly do you break a knee with a heel hook ? I could understand an achilles tendon getting snapped. -
But he's not going to WWE for a long time. He's signed with TNA till 2008 If TNA even last that long.
-
What do you expect from Trivia? Maybe he doesn't have his files at hand.

Both Doug and Danny Basham are great talkers if given the chance. Danielson wouldn't get much of chance without a tan and more muscle mass, and even then he'd be limited. Joe would get put in the 'Samoan' bracket because of his background, plus his physique would hold him back. Not to mention that he's barely over 6ft as it is, and compared to the rest of the WWE guys, he wouldn't look big at all. Punk can talk great, but he's lacking the size and mass WWE likes, so he'd almost certainly get very few chances to break out from the pack.
