  1. And you didn't even make a joke about the Oval Office or anything. That Smitty-Goes-to-Washington cab driver must have left quite an impression on you. That cab driver was pretty funny, but his cool-right-wingedness was canceled out by another guy I met--the James Madison Foundation "Congressional Fellow"--a fat dumbass from NC who was working for Liddy Dole. All of the other fellows hated this corpulent motherfucker. He was around 40, probably about 3 bills, and liked to walk around without his shirt on. And he always made sexual remarks to the young girls and tried to get them to help him pick out his clothes. He, two girls, and I went to a bar one night and we ended up having to leave after one beer because he was making one of them so uncomfortable. She was a high school cross country coach and he was asking her if it was hard to run with breasts and about what kind of sports bras her female runners wore.
  2. Neo-liberal Tom Friedman has become the poster boy for globalization and free trade. However, his NYT op-ed columns tend to suck nard, as do his books. But for some reason, wannabe pseudo-intellectuals tend to claim to just loooove his writing, as evidenced by all the pretentious folk who come in to buy his book at the store where I work. A new measure of time was recently created for Friedman, called, you guessed it, The Friedman. It's six months. Anyway, Freidman recently made a startling revelation on Tim Russert's show: http://alternet.org/blogs/video/39421/ WTF?!? The leading pro-globalization pundit doesn't even know what CAFTA stands for or what was in it?!? One of my favorite guys, David Sirota, absolutely ripped Friedman a new one. So here's a little cartoon in honor of Tom and his moustache:
  3. Yeah so has Rick Sanitorum, who recently set up a booth at a Nascar event hoping to wow locals......he was promptly IGNORED. Neither will ever be as crazy as Curt Weldon (R-PA) http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/lo...ia/14916463.htm

  5. Yeah, CanadianGuitarist, I think you were wrong. Wouldn't a principle room would be a room of high integrity and moral values? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%...inciple+room%22

  8. You dadgum kids get off my lawn!
  9. That's a good point. Trying to root out Hezbollah in Lebanon, I would wager, would make the Iraqi insurgency look like a stroll through the park.
