  8. Anarchist Vampire is definitely worse as far as the actual rapping skills go. Goth hip-hop? Add to that the fact that it sounds like a 13 year old kid. Is it supposed to be serious? "We the hatchet rydaz, ryde or die!"

  19. BA Major: History Minor: Geography MA: Education Thinking about going back for a doctoral degree, don't know in what. Not education. I have to teach high school social studies for a year or two so I don't have to pay back $24K in fellowship money for my masters first, though.
  20. I didn't know you had to have a degree to recognize bias in a piece of writing. I do have a degree. Also, Popular Mechanics is a magazine for the layperson, not a refereed scholarly journal. It has a running feature called "Jay Leno's Garage". I tend to agree with the "official" 9/11 story. Because I don't have the background to fully investigate the incident for myself, I have to rely on the work of people more knowledgeable than myself. I have to put trust in them to honestly and objectively tell me what happened to the best of their ability. With the PM article, I can't bring myself to fully trust them because of the hackish language they use denigrating people who disagree coupled with the fact that the research for the piece was led by a family member of the guy who runs DHS. Finally, I am not, nor will ever be, your "nigga".
  21. No, I repeatedly stated that I am not questioning the actual *meat* of the article. Doth thou understand? Notice when I said "I'm not an engineer". I simply demonstrated that the article has signs of bias (1. language and 2. relationship of lead researcher to Director of Homeland Security). Objectivity is something to be considered when considering research that purports to be scientific. I don't know where you are getting that I am arguing semantics (where do I question the meaning of a word?) or correlations (?). I also don't know why you, in your infinite wisdom, posted links to planes hitting a building when I never claimed planes didn't hit a building. I stated that I thought the "official story" of 9/11 was likely true. If you didn't catch it, the official story is that planes hit the towers.
  22. I agree that a conspiracy theory for 9/11 is very unlikely. The "official" story seems far more plausible than any other theory. I was just suggesting that that Popular Mechanics piece isn't really that good and it's objectivity is questionable. I would look elsewhere for debunkings.
  23. Funny, Howard Dean called Cheney Aaron Burr today on Meet the Press or one of those shows. Didn't have anything to do with this, though.
  24. I've read that the Taino Indians (the ones in the Carribean that Columbus raped and killed) had never made the connection between sex and childbirth.
