  1. That's my understanding of the sentiment within the conservative blogosphere. They LOVE shooting intruders... But, on the other hand, they REALLY LOVE the death penalty...
  2. Death penalty opponents would be much wiser to rally behind Cory Maye than behind Tookie Williams.
  3. You're a douche. I refuse to feel sorry for anyone who murders innocent people no matter how much they clean up their life. "You've been terminated!" I don't care if you feel sorry for him or not, it's the whole celebration of death that bothers me. It's a fucked up situation and not something to be gleeful about. The possibility that a "yay, let's kill somebody" dumbass like you might be on a jury is one of the primary reasons that I oppose the death penalty.
  4. Life 3 you fool! Anyway, on a side note, was anybody ever able to buy that mini-airship at the auction house and, if so, what does it do?
  5. What a rotten, stank bitch you are.
  6. That auction house was a motherfucker.
  7. I didn't say it was, I just said that maybe others might view it as heavy-handed.
  8. I am against the death penalty altogether. But it is the law in California, I don't believe that someone should be able to get off from a sentence that has been upheld through multiple appeals because of quasi-celebrity status. If they can use him to fight gang violence, then sure, but otherwise, no.
  9. Were those quotes from this site? Oh yes, I went there.
  10. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0512/12/lol.03.html SEDER: Listen, as far as the war on Christmas goes, I feel like we should be waging a war on Christmas. I mean, I believe that Christmas, it's almost proven that Christmas has nuclear weapons, can be an imminent threat to this country, that they have operative ties with terrorists and I believe that we should sacrifice thousands of American lives in pursuit of this war on Christmas. And hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money. PHILLIPS: Is it a war on Christmas, a war Christians, a war on over-political correctness or just a lot of people with way too much time on their hands? SEDER: I would say probably, if I was to be serious about it, too much time on their hands, but I'd like to get back to the operational ties between Santa Claus and al Qaeda. PHILLIPS: I don't think that exists. Bob? Help me out here. SEDER: We have intelligence, we have intelligence. PHILLIPS: You have intel. Where exactly does your intel come from? SEDER: Well, we have tortured an elf...
  11. Thing is, it's not really much about Jesus anymore. It's about the aforementioned consumerism, Santa Claus, pretty lights, and the pagan tree tradition. That's kinda why I put intended as opposed to not putting intended. Well, it's not really hypocritical for a non-Christian to celebrate a holiday that is almost entirely secularized, and can be celebrated as such.
  12. I dunno, maybe the political message is too heavy-handed--I could be wrong. If you see it, let us know what you think.

  14. I'm beginning to lose faith in Chave...
  15. Don't blame us, he's the one that sucks.
  16. I think I'll write a column on foreign bond markets.
  17. I don't know how you make a "balanced" film on this topic.
  18. If this is real I'll write something too.
  19. I still think Traffic is better. Sort of, I guess. Global oil politics, I would say.
  20. True. But there were "good" and "bad" guys on both sides in the movie, I thought.
  21. So we should prepare him a place in Canton so long as he neither healths nor fumbles?
