Given the fact that they were doing more of the "main event brawl" style due to the Attitude era coming to fruition, as well as helping protect certain weaknesses (Austin's neck), I think that Pillman could have easily maintained a top tier position in the Attitude era. I'd be willing to be that had he been alive, Austin/Pillman would have been the big feud right out of the gate once Austin won at WM14. Then you could have done a whole deal with McMahon backing Pillman, but Pillman not selling out to "the man", or pretending to do so and then still doing things "his way". Then the way UT and Kane could be brought in could be just like they were originally, only to be more of a "troubleshooting" duo for McMahon to also make sure Pillman didn't get out of line. Then Brian could go tweener/face and team with Austin to take on UT and Kane for a month or two. Would've ruled, that's for sure.

The latest Observer had a quick blurb stating that TNA was somewhat interested in Chavo Classic, although it wasn't said what role he'd play. That leaves him open as a possibility, if only just to say Styles won against a former Cruiserweight Champion and member of a famed wrestling family.

Nuh-uh!

Well, they haven't really feuded since early to mid-2002 because both have been heels for the better part of 2 years. True enough. Maybe it was just part of me not wanting to see Triple H go over on Jericho...AGAIN, lol.
-
The fact that it says "it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits" leads me to believe Dallas will take on Styles.
-
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was the same as Jeff Jarrett's Stroke, just done with more snap to it (as Jarrett tends to just look like he's falling forward lazily when he does his version of it).

It's entirely possible they could run with Benoit/Eugene at Vengeance. Eugene wins tonight, and Benoit offers him the chance to fight for the title. Triple H offers to "coach" Eugene going into the match, much to Regal (and everyone else's) chagrin. This could be explained further that Triple H is using Eugene for his own means, and if by chance Eugene were to get the title, he'd be a "weaker" opponent for Triple H to have to overcome due to his slowness. Then during Benoit/Eugene you have something happen where Triple H interferes, his true colors are revealed, and Eugene realizes he's using him. Of course if they ran with Benoit/Eugene, while Eugene is pretty over, that's not a match with drawing power. You could make a case for HHH/Jericho if they fight at Vengeance, but we've seen that a ton of times over the past few years.

Awww..... no Nova. No spotfests. Awwww. No, sometimes falling into that Teddy Hart catagory of "I Invented wrestling" type shit. Awww. Meh, WWE loses nothing from not having Nova. And they would gain nothing for having him. Nova is actually much, much better than he ever was thanks to OVW. More well-rounded, a good cocky heel, and very good on promo's. Can't always judge someone on their past. People can and do improve, y'know.
-
Yeah, it was Victor The Bodyguard. Anyone know how old he was? I'm assuming 40-ish, since he's been around seemingly forever.
-
I'm also in the category of people who think Eugene will win tonight. IMO, if they did an interview with Michaels this soon into the angle, it's just going to desensitize it. Let him be silent for a few weeks, with speculation as to what his condition is, then have him do the interview (if that's what they wanna do). Or just have him show up on RAW in a month or so and have him smash Kane's head in with a chair, setting up their Summerslam match.
-
Agreed, that pic is horrible.

I thought this was going to be about Nova/Idol getting called up, which I would have been all for. Magnus and Snuka? Eh, I don't know about that. Haven't seen any OVW stuff past April yet, so I haven't been able to see them trying this out. I'm also all for Alexis coming up to the main roster.

Well they did make that really ugly looking puppet thing with the time key or whatever. Orko didn't have to float (since I would understand the poor effects at the time), but a little attempt at trying to make the character would have suited me just fine. Hell, I would have taken fancy to Dolph riding on a tiger that was just spray painted green. Gwildor wasn't a puppet. It was a midget actor in makeup/costume.

It's not a full school during the summer. Like I said, during the summer it's mostly the kids whose parents work during the day, or the handicapped kids who benefit from being there often. There are several week long vacations during the summer months, however.

Nevermind, Frigid, you're safe. Just found this when I Googled them to see if I could get some info on it. Justin Guarini, who cut off his hair, says he and Nicole Richie aren't engaged. The wedding registry that suggested American Idol's Justin Guarini and The Simple Life's Nicole Richie were getting married was just someone's idea of a joke, Justin says. He tells the Philadelphia Inquirer (last item) that the news was "hilarious" but is not true. Justin also says that he cut off his massive, shrub-like hair: "I just didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. It's not like it was some big, momentous occasion.... I'm making a lot of changes in my career and the direction in which I'm going."
-
I read it in one of the recent gossip mags at my aunt's a week or two ago.
-
Correct, Parka. Two rings set up, raised ramp as per all the PPV's.
-
She's also currently engaged to American Idol's Justin Guarini.

Sanders would be perfect in an "instigator"/"intimidator" tag team (what I mean is that he could be the promo-guy/shit-stirrer and the big guy backs him up), but that role is taken by Kid Kash and Dallas, who will no doubt go the Shawn/Diesel route at some point.

Dammit, Agent, I shoulda known better. Any clue what it was before you nixed it? I'm going to just put it back and slowly walk away from the thread now.

How about this instead of making RVD into Mordercrap's stepping stone, why not use RVD as the #1 contender for the WWE title?Makes more sense and it will definitely do more buyrates than the Texan Nazi. As an RVD fan, I'm not supporting him being anyone's stepping stone, but if they're intent on making new stars, you have to pair them off with established people. Lesnar feuded with both the Hardy's and RVD before he went onto The Rock feud/title win. If Mordecai is going to look like a threat to either the title or The Undertaker, he needs to do more than squash cruisers and smark darlings like London. Let's face it, at this point Van Dam is not going to get any higher than the US Title level, and the shoddy treatment of him has affected both fan reactions as well as his own workrate. Still, he remains quite over (though not as much as 2001-2002) so that he can give off some rub. An RVD/Eddie feud did well in the past (over the IC Title just after the brand split in '02) and I fully support RVD turning heel and going with Heyman (although it seems that angle is over and done with). I'm all for it, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for WWE to actually do something worthwhile like that.

Is this one of those "magic eye" pictures? To me it looks like a woman's eye, with her hair making up the vortex.

I love the Marvel cartoons. The Incredible Hulk (80's) and Spider Man and His Amazing Friends stand out as my two favorite ones. No He-Man love? I love the older series, and thought the new show was pretty cool as well. Clerks:TAS is frickin' hysterical. You can actually pick it up on the cheap these days, and I'd recommend it to everyone. Looney Tunes wise, I was always a fan of Daffy Duck more than the others.

We actually just got a similar one at work that says "Coast to Coast, Nobody Gets Higher". I thought the Orton shirt looked cool when he had it on at the PPV. I'm not digging any of the other ones though.
