Out of the HS players only Lebron has been able to play at a high level immediatly upon arrival, everybody else took a few years to build up their talent. Playing in the wrong system can stop a players ability in learning the game. They could get into a program that is position heavy or the coach decides they should play small ball and end up rotting on the bench. And ONCE AGAIN, lets not rule out the injury aspect that has been known to destroy some guys chance to get into the league. One year in college isn't going to take them from shitty players to great players. And given the unlimited time they have to recieve teaching in the NBA while in college they are limited to a certain number of hours a week, they are learning the game at a higher rate and at a higher level while in the NBA. The fact that so many of these HIgh school guys are damn good players now doesn't lie.

Kanye West makes about 50,000 to 100,000 per beat he makes. Since it takes no musical talent whatsoever, why are you wasting your time on boards talking about how rap isn't music and go make some money?

But do you risk losing a young, talented guy who will DEFINATELY leave if he doesn't get the time. I mean, valuable 20-30 minutes a game won't kill the team, and keep the players fresher for the end of the year.

Update! So my girl, aparently falling in love with the little kitty from the other morning decided that she wanted a cat now, so she got a kitten from someone at her church. But aparently they had two left, so i came home yesterday to the suprise of TWO kittens chillin in my bathroom. So now I have to cats. I am not really sure how I feel about this one.

No doubt! There is a happy medium in the somewhere. At least after watching ID4 you knew what happened at the end. According to my friends, the tripods just started dropping for no real reason. The only reason I knew it was a virus was that I read the book in high school. If they explained this in the movie, i missed it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Morgan Freeman read the explaination from the book to close out the movie. If your friends missed it, they weren't paying attention. And nothing about this film screamed "TAKE ME SERIUOSLY" it was just as much of a summer action/sci fi flick as ID4. I just found WotW to be a better movie.

okay, seriously. Caron Butler gave you guys 16 a game last year and was consistant when it came to playing time - production ratio. If he played alot of minutes, he was good for 20 plus a game. Less minutes, the less productive he was. Outside of Kobe, he was the most consistant player on the team. So why are Laker fans so quick to want to give him up for a guy that has proven not once, but twice that he can't be productive in a system with guards that demand the ball a majority of the time. The Lakers would be giving up (in Atkins and Butler) 30+ points per game for a guy that hasn't shown anyone anything. They would be better served to just go ahead and play Bynum.

Damon Jones is fucking worthless. He can't dribble, he can't pass, he can't defend. All he can do is hit wide open 3's and he is streaky at that. Playing on a team where a Player had to be doubled on the post or another was driving to the lane and being collapsed on left him with wide open 3's. He got EXPOSED when teams left a player on him, and they abused him on the defensive end. If the Heat had grown a pair and benched his ass and started Rasul Butler again against the Pistons, they probably would have pulled it out.

Being A number 2 pick? he very well could. being the Number 2 pick in that draft? i doubt it. I think being better than Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade are going to be/are is a tall order for most players in the league.

Well this was a really cute kitty. Although the fireman dude was the one that really saved him, because I would be damned if I was going to lay on the ground and almost get ran over for a kitty. No matter how cute it was. Ripper - just being macho...would have laid on the ground.

So my girl friend is giving me a ride to work this morning and as we are driving this little kitten runs in the road. She slams on the brakes and the thing runs under the car. This is a very busy road, and people go pissed but I don't give a shit, it was a cute kitty and we weren't going to run it over. So I get out and look under the car, and the freaking thing has gotten... and its hard to explain this...but in the freakin tire. Like where the tire is attached to the car, the space on the rim. He was just sitting there scared shitless. So i get down and try to get him out but I can't really reach. and he is just getting more afraid and trying to scratch me with his little claws and trying to make the hiss sound but it sounds like a pop so I start laughing at him. By now we have shut down a entire lane of Ashford Dunwoody at rush our. So then a fire and rescue guy comes up to find out the problem and I tell him and he starts trying to get the cat. But because of where the car is and the fact we can't roll, its so close to the other lane that you might get hit trying to get the cat. So when a fire truck pulls up, they shut off the other lane. So now, a entire street is shut off...at rush hour to get a kitten from the tire of our car. eventually, he gets under the car and gets it and I find all this hilarious. I wanted to keep the lil fella, but since I was on my way to work and my girl is a asshole when it comes to animals, the firemen took it. It was still trying to fight us all when we got it out. It was all of 4-5 weeks old tops. I was suprised it could walk well, let alone run under a car. So I was a hour late and have oil spots all over me for a freaking cat that I don't even get to keep. And caused a major street to get shut down by a fire truck. For a kitten.... I had a interesting morning.

From watching Darko play, he is way to aggresive defensively...like he can block everyshot that goes up. Not so much aggressive on the boards, but when it comes to challenging shots he goes at them all. I say that him fouling so much is due to his timing being off because he is rotting on the bench, but the willingness is something that shows he could be a defender.

You can see flashes when he plays, and he definately has skills, but playing for Larry Brown is what is killing him. When I hear Larry Brown say he isn't good enough to get minutes, it means nothing. This was the same guy that says that leaving Amare Stoudimire and Dwayne Wade on the bench during the Olympics was a good stragedy because the other players gave him a better chance to win. The Pistons should trade him, because I think if he sits on the bench another year, there is no way that he is going to resign. He would be crazy to do so.

That sounds like the shit. I love Anya and Xander, only in defference to Oz and Erstwhile Willow. If any nerd show needs an official EU, Buffy is the one. Though I seriously wonder how they'll deal with Angel's finale. If it's left to: They kicked the shit out of everyone, they saved the earth, they made ready. they died, it's pretty much the only conlcusion, but what a fucking bummer. Of course killing Fred sort of gauranteed a bummer. (although sometimes overly so, she was about the only happy character enmeshed in the full angst. n the whedonverse. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd say Loren was the most angst free character until Fred died.
