  1. This show was cool, but this "new" episode is kinda lame. You'd think they'd have been able to get more then just 3 cast members to participate.
  2. In No Particular Order Borat Thank You For Smoking Hard Candy Over the Hedge Rocky Balboa Clerks 2 V For Vendetta Mission Impossible 3 Pirates Snakes on a Plane 5 Worst Films I saw last year: See No Evil Scary Movie 4 My Super-Ex Girlfriend Final Destination 3 X-Men 3
  3. Kozlov is a big talentless Russian guy named Oleg Prudius who's been appearing on RAW and Smackdown doing a Borat gimmick. Supposedly he's horrible in the ring, but then, that's never stopped WWE before.
  4. I don't know, but you can be guaranteed they'll do the Big Show spot with nine guys all trying at once to dump Great Khali.
  5. The finish t the DX Match was all fucked up, no one seemed to be on the right page.
  6. Umaga vs Cena will likely be a schmoz finish leading ot the blowoff match with some kind of gimmick at Royal Rumble
  7. So what, next week Finlay defeats MVP in 47 seconds to become the #1 Contender?
  8. Same as any fucking year. Didn't meet any new women, didn't get a significant raise at work, still barely not failing out of school, oh and Grandma passed away which crushed me spiritually, so overall it was a pretty shitty year, but only slightly shittier then most years because of the grandma thing.
  9. Gotta admit, this is kind of creepy.
  10. and now it seems to be a moot point, because Saddam is getting hanged on Sunday which is still one whole day too early.
  11. Can we disqualify Saddam as a choice? It's not like his death is really in question anymore. He's gonna be gone one way or another before the end of January.

    James Brown Dead

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,238718,00.html Wow, that was a pretty crappy thing to get up and read to start out my Christmas. James Brown was the man. His part in Rocky 4 is still one of my favorite scenes in any movie, ever. And who can remember his appearance in WCW? You know, in retrospect, I'm quite frankly surprised with all his drug problems he even made it to 73. RIP.

  14. I just came home from this show, and it was pretty good, but I would say overall the East Windsor show in September, despite being outside and in the rain, was better. The crowd was a typical Connecticut Wrestling crowd, a bunch of WWE marks that think they're smart, along with pockets of fans that really ARE smart to the business, but overall, John Cena could have just and soon come out and fought Umaga instead of the tag team main event, and the crowd would have popped just as loud, unlike a Philly or NY crowd that would shit all over the WWE nonsense. The main event tag match was easily the best of the night, Cima and Shingo busted their ass out there, and Daniels and Sydal kept up quite well. Richards vs Strong was technically sound, but the crowd wasn't into it at all, and spent more time trying to amuse themselves then anything else, and the crowd completely shit all over the countout finish. The four way match was a disappointment, it was good, but not spectacular. I will give props to both the ladies, they took some hard bumps from the men in their match. I missed exactly what happened to Mercedes, but they had to carry her out, and she was totally out of it. Colt Cabana's match was the usual comedy stuff, and the crowd was into it. I think the guy has charisma, but he's never impressed me in the ring, so he's sure to go over like gangbusters the day he ends up in WWE. Briscoes vs Kings was put in a terrible spot right after the Colt match. The crowd was really into the Cabana stuff, but they weren't really into the tag match at all, the only heat was towards the Claudio for signing with WWE. Overall this was a good show, although the crowd got annoying at times. This is likely as close as we'll ever get to the old ECW, so I really implore everyone to go to these shows, and support the promotion by buying some of their overpriced merchandise and DVDs.
  15. The final four will likely be Undertaker, Orton, Kennedy, and Michaels. Michaels will dump Orton after he gives Undertaker the RKO. Kennedy will dump Michaels while he is being distracted by Orton. Undertkaer will do the zombie sit and toss out Kennedy to win.
  16. I finally got to see this late tonight. This is definitely a great movie, and although no one would ever take it seriously as such, this one should definitely be an Oscar Contender. Don't go into this film expecting Rocky 3 or 4, it's definitely much more in line with the first film. It's just a very emotional story about a broken man looking to pick up the tattered pieces of his life. This is definitely a top 10 of 2006 for me, and one of the best film's I've seen in a while.
  17. Ernest Needs a Kidney
  18. http://www.bbrownvideo.com/ This guy sets up shop at almost every Indy show up here in the northeast and has what is likely the second biggest wrestling tape collection on earth after Vince Mcmahon. He doesn't list any of the stuff he has that Vince owns the rights to on his site any more, but it's all still available if you e-mail him.
  19. Orton wins the Royal Rumble and goes on to beat John Cena for the title at Wrestlemania, but loses it back to him shortly after Triple H goes heel sometime before the summer and beats Cena for the title at Summerslam Batista gets sidelined with another injury and Finlay becomes a transitional champion before dropping it to Edge who will switch shows RVD goes to TNA TNA is still unable to get any significant ratings or buyrates, but keeps trucking along regardless ECW gets canceled The 3 Hour RAW is declared a huge success and becomes a more regular occurence The next Saturday Nights Main Event will air at 3 AM The Rock will finally return at some point Randy Savage will agree to come back to be inducted into the Hall of Fame That's all I got for now
  20. Does anyone still have the link to the video of Bret Hart's "Who Are You to Question El Dandy!?" Promo?
  21. Wow, I haven't see Steiners vs Money Inc. in the Cage since it originally aired. I remember that being a great match at the time. edit: Just finished watching it again, man was that match GREAT. Both teams go at it back and fourth for nearly 20 minutes with a ton of close finishes and a really hot ending. **** Match in my book easy, definitely check this match out.
  22. Was I a little over the top and misguided at the time? Probably. Yet I still fail to see why my angry tirade advocating a more civilized and responsible society is met with such disapproval.
  23. Depends on what kind of crime. Theft and fraud and such I believe is seen by some people as a viable alternative to work. You can potentially make more money in one afternoon of pocket picking, grifting, or just flat out burglary then you can in a month of actually working. Holding up a liquor store of a 7-11 is just fucking stupid, you're not going to get a dime for that, and will just land your ass in prison. If you can concoct a fool proof scheme to rob a bank or an armored car though, and you can get away with it, then you can run off with a years income easily. The allure to some is pretty enticing, especially if you don't have a family or a job or anything tying you down in your life at the moment, then what is a couple years in prison? 3 square meals and a place to sleep is more then what a lot of people have. Another category of criminals is drug addicts. If you're a crack head or a junkie, and and you need another hit, you're likely not going to care whether or not you have to pull a knife on someone to get the money to get it. Shoplifting is mostly just a crime committed by crazy people looking for a thrill, or kids that get pressured into it by their friends. Of course, the line between shoplifting and burglary is increasingly getting blurred now that you have groups of organized shoplifters going into stores with bags lined with tinfoil to throw off security sensors, who work together to an elaborate distraction scheme and walk out with thousands of dollars in merchandise. Don't let the man fool ya, Crime doesn't pay if you're an idiot, but if you're clever and daring enough, it can pay pretty damn well.
  24. Geez, I remember the days before PWInsider, 1Wrestling, and others. Back when the only outlet for Pro Wrestling News was shitty geocities sites that copied news from the Torch and Observer. www.ProWrestling.com was the first major site, run by some guy named Zoran or Zorad or something equally stupid, and another writer named Sushi-X who gained a small bit of fame due to ripping off the alias of a long time correspondant of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine. I believe that Bob Ryder started writing for them at some point, and eventually in '97, 1wrestling was created as an extension of prowrestling.com
  25. I have a question......since this is such a shitty HOF year why don't they induct Randy Savage? Do they have like some vendetta against him.... Yeah pretty much, the rumor flying around is that Savage is the one that took Steph's virginity. That was in that DVR sleaze thread.....I don't know if I really believe that though. I do remember one time Meltzer was questioned about it though, and he didn't write it off completely, he just stated that there could very well be something to that story.
