I find it sort of telling that in a recent interview with The Rock on MSN about what TV shows he currently watches, he not once mentioned that he watches WWE or even TNA.

^^^^ Same here.

One more thing, Under Siege was a 90's movie. 1992 to be exact.

Edge was part of the WWE group, but JBL had all the heat and was the face for the WWE led invader group.

Here is some news regarding ECW ONS II via The Torch... Thoughts?

Ghostbusters... Dr Venkman: Have you or any member of your family ever been diagnosed as schizophrenic? Mentally incompetent? Librarian: My uncle thought he was St. Jerome. Dr Venkman: I'd call that a yes. Do you habitually use any stimulants, drugs, alcohol? Librarian: No! Dr Venkman: Just asking, just asking. Are you, Alice, menstruating right now? Head Librarian: What does that got to do with it? Dr Venkman: Back off man, I'm a scientist. Uhh, fuck yeah.

Arnold: Remember Sully when I promised to kill you last? Sully: Yeah Matrix, you did. Arnold: I lied. :: drops poor Sully off a cliff as he screams something incoherent ::

Damn, you just don't fuck with Roman Grant. Albie sucks. That was a weird deal with him and the stranger from the grocery store. Nicky may just be the most hatable person on all of TV right now. Margene may be the most lovable, despite being somewhat of an airhead. I love how they are playing that Bill's father (who is a cock and a half) might have been poisoned by either his first wife or Roman. I wouldn't doubt if it wasn't a little bit of both. Also, the opening sequence and theme song work well.

I agree with that. It was a broken play and Kobe would've jumped over whoever was there at that particular moment. I don't think it was a charge, but I don't think a foul was committed by Nash either since he just stood there. I've seen way worse contact in the playoffs on dunk plays not get called fouls. Trust me, Jay Crawford (who usually hosts 1st and 10) is not much better than Dana in terms of Laker fandom. I attribute it to Jay and Dana not really knowing much NBA, but they know they are supposed to care about the Lakers because they get all the media attention, so it's no surprise Dana would come up with that.

That sounds great in a perfect world. However, that would entail the WWE guys and Vince putting over ECW and that I'm afraid, isn't going to happen. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind it happening, but you just know it won't. I don't think Vince can ever get over the thought of having another brand name look remotely competitive against him.

The Suns are playing like a bunch of Vagina McGynsteins out there, save for Steve Nash. Lakers seem to be hot from all over the floor and are making life miserable on the defensive end for the Suns. I said this last year and I'll say it this year, TNT sucks for having Magic Johnson on during Laker games. It's a serious conflict of interest. If Magic wants to do in studio analysis of other teams games, I'm fine with that. But doing Laker games is over the line if you ask me. I'm sure most people would be up in arms if the Maloof brothers did in studio halftime for Kings games or if Mark Cuban did Mavericks games. It's ridiculous if you ask me.

Ah. He won the MVP for 1988. His team from 88-89 was 47-35. That's where I was confused.
-
Just to be a stickler, I think Jordan won the MVP in '88 and his team won less than 50 games.

Shifting to fantasy booking for this show... If Cena ends up in the ME spot instead of HHH with RVD (which I hope doesn't happen, but as of now that's the plan per Observer and Torch) then perhaps they could go with a tag match of Funk and Cactus representing ECW vs. the newly reformed DX representing WWE/Attitude era. Either that or Cactus/Funk vs JBL/HHH- two guys who would get super heat vs. the ECW faithful.

There are two things I just can't have for breakfast.
Dangerous A replied to Star Ocean 3's topic in Food Folder
I love eggs any style except poached. Hard boiled is borderline because I usually remove the hard yolk. Breakfast rules. Sometimes I eat breakfast type food for dinner like getting breakfast meals at IHOP or Dennys. -
Judging from the posts the last 2 or so pages, one thing I think we all want is a different and better pro wrestling product than what WWE and TNA are currently churning out right now, wouldn't you say?
-
I think a huge key to this lasting and getting a good momentum and following is TV. I think only the hardest of hardcore fans are going to watch TV on the internet.

It's Danielson.

OVW would be a lot less effective if it were made available on a national scale. First, you'd see how bad developing wrestlers are. Second, it'd be harder for WWE to overhaul guys they want to bring up since they insist on doing that to a lot of the guys OVW has produced.
-
Good point. I think we'll know quickly whether this is a real second run for ECW or OVW: Extreme.
-
You are fooling yourself if you think Vince lets ECW just do their own thing. The website means little in this. The big thing will be if ECW creates a star,a guy who catches on with fans, will WWE let that person stay in ECW or call them up? That will be the test of whether Vince lets ECW become it's own entity.

But if you're the better team, it shouldn't matter when you face an opponent. It shouldn't matter if the Mavs face the Spurs in the WCF or first round. It shouldn't matter if the Mavs get eliminated by the Spurs in the WCF or first round. Getting eliminated is getting eliminated, no matter what round it happens in.
-
Again, the Spurs (3x) and Lakers (4x) are the only teams from the West to make the Finals since 1998, so it's not like Dallas is choking away opportunities that other teams are capitalizing on. If Dallas was a 2 seed this year and had homecourt against Phoenix that would be very different than having to play the Spurs with SA getting the extra home game. They might lose either series, but the fact that Phoenix is in the half of the bracket with the Lakers, Nuggets and Clippers is a lot better than being on the side with San Antonio, Sacramento, Dallas and Memphis. Just to clairfy, if Dallas was to match up against Phoenix in the WCF, Dallas would have homecourt advantage even though Phoenix is the 2 seed.

With the news that Nash is going to be named MVP, it wouldn't surprise me seeing how competitive Kobe is, to go for 50 points or more tonight.

I read into the Trish thing more that Trish has the power to get more match time despite being a female in a male dominated profession. I didn't sense any bad feelings in Ivory's comments. That said, Ivory is a MILF who isn't a mother. (at least as far as I know she doesn't have any children)
