  1. The addition of the fitness freak roommate to the cast is much welcomed by me. Good lawad is that a nice bottom.
  2. I think it was when he produced "Woo".
  3. Well, DEAN has changed his workrate report to Comics. Plus they've added a bunch of new reviewers to their VRs. And their layout on their main page has changed from basic to veeerrry basic.
  4. I think its a holdover from the days when the main site used to drive the board and not the other way around.
  5. But Lorelai doesn't want either her or Rory taking money from her parents due to the many strings attached to said money. Does Jess come back in later episodes??
  6. Why were they in the river in the first place?
  7. Michel's "I HATE you!" was tremendous. He never gets old - he deserves more play. His feud with Bruce McCullough is hilarious, just wait until Lorelais birthday.
  8. I disagree. They hit their pinnacle of showy and are on the decline. If you compare the sets of today to that of 5 years ago, it's much less "loud". There is barely any pyro now (god, how long did it take for them to realize THAT went out of style) and they aren't making the additions they used to make to their stage pieces. Their PPV stages are generally very boring and bland as well. I realize that my Rocky II scenario is completely stripped down to the barebones, but that provides a more intimate feel and is so radically different that it wouldn't be boring for a show. Granted, video screens serve a functional purpose as well as an aesthetic one, but for one PPV something different like this -in my view- would be a success.
  9. Season 4, Episode 15 Speaking of which, how does Rory have all this money? She doesn't work, yet she always has money. Oh, and add "Lord of the Rings" to the constant mentionables along with Sylvia Plath.
  10. Ok, the scenes at the dinner table and with Dean and Luke sorta made up for it. I feel a lil bit better now that I've weathered the storm. Emily taking great pleasure in Richard talking back to Trix was certainly the highlight of the show. I like how the Rory and Lorelais situation mirrors each other and how the phone messages went from being really light and fluffy at the beginning to being almost non-existent by the end, and that they are having communication problems. They did a really good job in making it seem like the world was ending and I might have to watch this show again to see how they built the tension and the downfall of the characters. The warm and fuzzy ending (though in no way a resolution) was fitting after the very cold episode in general.
  11. I'm half way through episode 14 in Season 4 and you know that charm? IT'S ALL GONE! This episode is nothing but shit hitting the fan. I. CAN'T. BREATHE. This is wrong. Just wrong. Absolutely wrong. They can't do this to me - I get way too emotionally invested in television shows, I can't handle all this bad stuff. It's the episode where Lorelai and Rory aren't able to talk to each other and are leaving messages on their respective cells, and the Inn is having some financial problems, and Sookie and Lorelai just had a fight because Lorelai is doing all the work and Sookie is too busy looking after her baby, and Tom almost cried.... TOM! How can do they do this??! Lorelai looks to be asking Luke for a loan and I am afraid Luke will say no... one of my favourite moments in this show was Luke offering to put up money to help save Lorelais house, so imagine what him saying no will do to me?! ... More on this as it develops.
  12. They won some technical awards for their visual effects. I think the camera angles during the CG shots were what made it a lot more "organic", as they would pan and zoom and whatnot during the shot, so it not only fit into the shot but it also didn't just stand there.
  13. I was watching Rocky II last night and the WWE should do a PPV with that visual production associated with it. No screens, just a big banner with the two main eventers on it, and a large american flag. Get the same lighting rig for the ring and that's it for lighting - have everything be black around the ring. Use the same kind of cameras they used back then to the film/video will have that tone to it. Have the wrestlers go through the crowd with police and their fight team surrounding them. Get the fans in as close as possible to the ring. That would be soooo fucking tight.
  14. How long before the WWE breaks up Rosie and Hurricane and feuds them with each other over Stacy?
  15. I've got about 16 episodes on my harddrive so far. If their season 4 and 5 DVD's don't pick up the slack on the Bonus Features, I think I will go this route from now. Brad vs. Paris is awesome.
  16. That, and the media. And the internets.
  17. Plus, the economy hasn't really recovered from 9/11. And the price of oil is insanely high right now.
  18. Putting the numbers aside (and you'd have to draw Wrestlemania-like numbers for *each* of those shows to even come close to making the same amount as 14 PPVs a year), you're still putting your eggs in 5 baskets - if one PPV flops then you're fucked. Plus, they are in an age of weekly television, you would want the WWE drawing out feuds for 2-3 months? They can't even make feuds last for 2-3 weeks. They'd run out of formulas by the second show.
  19. Yeah, why don't they just lose millions of dollars in revenue. Clearly, this is because WWE fans perceive "The Great American Bash" as a WCW show, rather than a WWE show. Therefore the answer is simple: Change the name of the show.
  20. If I had one word to describe Gilmore Girls, it would be "charming". I don't think any of my favourite shows have that charm to it - it's escapism at its finest. The funniest lines, for me, are all delivery. "Poor Bunny" taken out of context, or said by anyone else, wouldn't be funny at all. Paris is one of my favourite characters - so very mean. There are lots of reoccuring "things" in the show. - The Godfather - Dirty~! - Zagats ...hmm, I know I can think of more. Is this due to poor creativity, or the writers pimping various things, or just character consistency?
  21. Yeah, I'd love to hear what other posters are thinking - it's something that you just can't get on this board. You should call it something really lame and generic. Like "The Piledriver" or "The Headlock Radio Hour".
  22. I love the "I'm upset, not suicidal" line. The "rules" of the characters and their quirks on this show are very consistent. This show is addictive. Not in the "I need to see what happens next" kinda way, but more "it's a drug and I need a hit" kinda way".
  23. I'm going to be 100% honest with you guys. That Liddell/Horn Unleashed fucking kicked my ass. AWESOME!!!
  24. SPIKE is replaying it tonight, but with KenFLO~! vs. Karelexis instead of Salaverry vs. Marquardt.
