  1. Dusty: "And then Batista puts Bradshaws head in a bongo drum and starts to play it like Andy Kaufman!" Writer (taking notes): "Mmm hmm. Mmm hmm. Ah. How do you spell "Belly Welly" is that with a "y" or an "ie"? Dusty: Um... Writer: And how about we have Batista talk in a strange language! We can call him Batiska and maybe we can bring Tony Danza in! Oooh this is a great one you came up with Dust. Can I call you Dust? Dusty: Uh, yeah. Right. Good. Writer *in close, whispering*: I've always wanted to know since I've worked here... what is a Dusty Finish? It involves a hand-job, right? *Dusty's head explodes*
  2. So, when will Dusty go crazy from dealing with WWE Creative? This is like when Bart Simpson licked a subway poll in the Homer vs. NY episode of the Simpsons - he's way out of his league.
  3. I like Cade and Murdoch more, and that's just from 2 promo vids.
  4. I'm thinking the stuff you mentioned has been stuff Eddies has done for 10 years. I haven't been impressed with any of the stuff Eddie has done character-wise or promo-wise during his heel run.
  5. I went looking for a VHS tape to record the PRIDE show on Sunday. LOTC came along. It was pretty late, but I figured something would be open. Walmart wasn't, the Superstore wasn't, so I went to Blockbuster. I look around and I don't see any tapes. Odd. They usually carry them. So I ask one of the employee-chicks that works there. "Excuse me, but I'm looking for blank tapes" *brief puzzled look from the girl* "To record shows with" Her: "OH, you mean like a blank cd?" "Yeeeah." "I dunno. Lemme see." ...yeah, she didn't help me much after that. So I went to the convenience store next door. They had it. Blockbuster - Video Store - doesn't have blank videos. Some convenience store - blank videos.
  6. Bonnar. Is. God. I really enjoyed the fight as they were active on the ground for the first two rounds and that first round in particular was fantastic. So far, they've made me a fan of Jorge and Luke, which clearly was their plan. Luke winning the challenge for his team after being picked last was a nice touch in developing his character, and Jorge has just been the (very very gay) man. The heavies, thus far, have shown no personality. And the bible study roold.
  7. The group was formed to oppose Hogan in the early 90's, Hogan can't be behind it. Hogan wasn't a part of the original angle because I don't believe he was on television at the time I was writing it, and therefore not a part of the active roster. Ditto Brock Lesnar. Ideally, a Brock Lesnar return when the chips are down would take place, but I can't just insert guys who aren't under contract. I like a bit of reality in this fantasty . Granted, Stephanie McMahon is not on television now, but it would require little effort to get her involved, all things considered.
  8. Silva seems pretty hesitant against great grapplers. He gave Yoshida so much respect standing by keeping his distance and picking his shots. He did the same to Arona, who has SHIT defense. His head was up, he never checked a single leg kick - Silva didn't capitalize, Shogun did. Arona simply had the paper to Silva's rock and GnP'd a victory. He does, however, have beautiful legkicks. Which has me wondering if he trains all offense and no defense... he must stand infront of a mirror all day shadow boxing... Shogun is a better fighter than Wanderlei, and I think that's pretty safe to say. Wanderlei only has better punches, however it seems he only throws them against Stationary targets like a Kanehara, Tamura, or Sakuraba so that doesn't really affect anything. Shogun is more aggressive, he's wrestling and submissions are worlds better, and over-all standing I think he takes it too, on account of his aggression. I ran out on to the street, I ran down the street, and I was yelling "WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!" when Shogun smashed Aronas face in. I was so happy seeing Fedor win, and Shogun winning in that manner just put me over the top. The swings I experienced watching the show were insane - going from REALLY happy to REALLY scared. It was quite the sight.

  11. Shogun out-wrestled Arona. Shogun had an OMAPLATA on Arona. Shogun out-struck Arona. That's right. Arona was SHPWN3DGUN!
  12. I'm sorry. Did Shogun just. Win. The. Whole. Thing. ???
  13. I can't really write revisionist FB, I prefer to look ahead rather than back as if it really could happen. So with Summerslam behind us and the rosters mixed up, it's hard to get into the right frame of mind to continue it. I'll re-read it and see what I can do.
  14. Well, mainly because when you're reading the subtitles you're missing parts of the movie on screen. For a visual-medium, that's pretty damn important. Thus far I've seen 2 Chow movies - Soccer and Cookery - and I've enjoyed them both, I look forward to watching KFH. There is such an odd sense of humour about it that I dig.
  15. You guys are all fucking nuts.
  16. If you were black you wouldn't talk about that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nigga, please.
  17. Kennedy needs to do the "Kennedy...." and have it hanging until about mid-match when he picks up the mic and lets the other shoe drop.
  18. Maria is trying too hard to act dumb. And there are way too many people on this Maria bandwagon. *hops off*
  19. "You.. you.. you remember when you were with The Beatles?" "Yeah, sure." "That was awesome!" "Yeah, it was"
  20. I'm saying it's touched up. It's clear to the naked eye. Her cheeks are a definite indication given the lighting, tone, and texture. Her mouth and forehead also show signs of photoshopping.
  21. Yeah, no touch ups there.
  22. And HHH dropping the title to Hogan was a great political move on his part, because it showed Vince that HHH did what was best for the company rather than for himself. His face push wasn't going exactly the way he wanted it, so it wasn't a huge loss - though I can imagine he dreamed of the Gigantic Face Push of LOVE weeks leading into his triumphant WM win, so that he could never get what Austin and Rock, and even HBK, had must've bothered him on some level. However, I'm sure he knew Hogan wouldn't have the title for long, and HHH had some contingencies to fall back on and went to the HIAC to get some of his heat back and then his feud with Michaels - it was a pretty good recovery. Plus, Taker picking up the title from Hogan was a bit of a plus for Trip as it indirectly showed that Trip was willing to let go of the title for The Locker Room Leader. Plus, the dude had a title created for him a few months later and got to wear the big gold belt with his idol at his side.
  23. It looked to me like Michaels was trying to steal the crowd from Hogan with his overselling. To make it look like he was the one doing all the work and that Hogan was just getting by on posing, and hoping the fans pick up on it and give appreciation for the effort. I haven't watched it in a long time, but I believe Nash/Michaels WM 11 was similar in that regard (Shawn getting over with the crowd due to insane bumping). He came close, but Hogan out-timed him with comebacks and heat spots, so the crowd did not have enough time to "decide" to turn on Hogan. Hogan and HBK are funny, to me. Hogan is able to do so much with so little, and Michaels is able to do so little with so much. The majority of the heat in that match, power moves, and the high spots, came from Hogan. Michaels brought the match down with his overselling - it completely took me out of the match. In terms of politics, Hogan had way more leverage and in the end it came down to one guy knowing his worth and the other guy not knowing his. Hogan knows he only has so long in front of an audience before they turn on him, it has happened to him before. He keeps his appearances to a minimum and makes the most money possible from it. Michaels, on the other hand, stays around which devalues his worth. What makes Hogan brilliant in a political sense is that, while he is a mark for himself, he is a bigger mark for MONEY. He knows the name of the game. HBK, on the other hand, is a bigger mark for the glory and the pop of the crowd, which is why he didn't want to be a heel and tried his hardest not to be one in their feud (and is now, amazingly enough, back to being a face).
  24. All Available Options: 1. Interviewer 2. Ring Announcer 3. T-Shirt Shooter 4. "Put her with a guy we don't really know what to do with yet but will sometime soon and we want to get some initial heat on him... or not... don't put so much pressure on us! Coming up with ideas is hrrrrd." 5. Autograph Signer 6. Local Commercial Spots Actress 7. Girl who looks pretty for photos 8. Girl who looks pretty for DVDs 9. Playboy Cross promotion Cover Girl 10. Another opportunity for Vince McMahon to stick his tongue down a big breasted blondes throat.
