  1. They were signed around the same time - I'm talking about after Brock became "successful" in 2002. Benjamin was signed and in OVW by then.
  2. The fighters who post at Sherdog usually limit themselves to the "ask the fighters" section, but on the odd occasion they come into the main forum - but they aren't regarded as untouchable, Josh Barnett in particular got ragged on and made fun of after he posted some sort of post that I can't recall at the moment. There's the expected respect shown, but if a fighter crosses the line, he'll get called. The problem is that the mod staff doesn't ban enough people. There's like 10,000 posters* at Sherdog and 90% of them are trolls. The same topics get put up at least 6 times - and if they're hot - you'll find a dozen relating to the same subject. And the content is mainly one liners and tend to end in a flame war. And the most annoying thing in the world is when someone posts something like Title: "CRO COP vs. FEDOR!!!! PRIDE 27!!!" Content: "- who do you think would win if this happened?" (*Right now there's over 400 posting or lurking and the peak was 1050. It claims to have over 20,000 members.)
  3. JR and King will bury Benoit in their commentary.
  4. Yeah, Taker/Hogan headlined, but HHH/Jericho was pushed just as hard (if not even harder). Though they didn't have a lot of time to build IIRC.
  5. Any time business is down, Vince will push a big guy. Mabel, Nash, Sid, Taker all pushed in 95/96 period. There's actually sound reasoning behind it, but you begin to numb the fans when you load the roster with huge guys.
  6. I like the previews for Walking Tall - but it doesn't look like anything special and I probably won't go to see it in the theatres... but I'll rent it as soon as I can once it comes out on video.
  7. Well, if anyone has the numbers handy, how did HHH vs. Jericho HIAC do?
  8. The fat dude from Boy Meets World, American History X, and The Butterfly Effect... naturally.
  9. Foley is proven to not draw ratings (as evidenced by shows that were based *around* him doing poor numbers). May have been the cell AND foley, though
  10. I saw something good in wrestling - Benoit vs. Brock... I want to see more of that... I can't see more of that when Benoit is on RAW jobbing to Mark Henry.
  11. Yeah, I loved his Leno appearance. This has all the elements of being a slobberknocker of a show!
  12. Knoxie, you just made my day
  13. That's missing some gems, and the belt length and leather quality is different... they're nothing alike, really.
  14. The *only* good thing about Benoit on RAW is seeing him beat the shit out of HBK. And even as an ardent HBK-hater, I still find the idea of Benoit on Raw nauseating.
  15. HOLY CRAP, Regis as the villain is soooo awesome it's awesoem. Then you could have, like, J-lo in the female lead... or something.
  16. I saw it, and it's irrelevant. Everytime I see that title I think of WCW. I'd say that's safe to say for the majority of people who see it.
  17. YES YES DAMN YOU! I'll tape it for you... then refuse to send it... that's what you get, you bastard. .... who may, or may not, live in Antarctica.
  18. World Champion? I thought the world champion was Brock? Oh, you mean that thing HHH is holding??? Benoit held that, and gave it up. He has shown no intention in going for *that* belt. Benoit has made it clear he want's the title that Brock holds. The title that Angle held. There is so much wrong with this. And to ANYONE who tries to go against that... TWO WORDS. Matt Hardy
  19. Rey is way more marketable than Eddie simply because of the mask. He has the Mexican demographic as well.

  21. Yeah, the only problem - logistically - is having 30 men in one cage. There has to be a method of elimination.... Maybe a FIRST BLOOD stipuation!
  22. Goldberg vs. Kane would have been huge had they developed it in the fall.
  23. Yep, But it's still fun to laugh.
  24. He's more marketable than both. Not that I'm saying he should be up in the heavyweight division, but they should maybe start pushing the division beyond evil Knoble and Tajiri. They do *way* more with the womens division, comparitively.
  25. Of course, Goldberg has been booked horribly as a champion and Kane's momentum greatly diminished... which may or may not have been the result of somehhhone sabotaging any potential headliners (Goldberg is a possibility, Kane is up-in-the-air though). Not that I'm pointing fingers.
