Mizzarksault is good. Or you can merge with Dama and me to become Damarudosault!

Benoit will have a very significant role in the rumble, he'll be bringing in everyones bags from their cars so that the wrestlers won't get frostbite on their hands and maybe - if he's lucky - set up the ring.

A cage match would be the most fitting end to their feud. In it, Brock should try to escape the cage before realizing that he could easily take Hardcore and then starts to really punish him... of course, this all would be better for a SMACKDOWN show, rather than the RR. I want to see Hardcore vs. Brock, I don't want to see it on PPV (and I won't, cause I won't buy the show).

All I'm saying is that the WWE finally brings a young superstar with tons of potential up to the main event scene and people are crying because it's not Mitsubishi Honda in there. Dark Side? This is reality, brutha. RRR: Playing Knights of the Old Republic

The OAO Christmas From Baghdad SD! Thread 12-25-03
RavishingRickRudo replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
As one should expect of any WWE show. No WWE show has counted in a long time...how many individual Raws or Smackdowns or even PPVs have any kind of long-reaching impact months down the line? Again, you expected different? Bottom line, as far as I'm concerned, it was STUPID to put a good chunk of the roster in danger just for the sake of scoring a few P.R. points...but I imagine Vince doesn't give a shit about his wrestlers as long as he gets his brownie points from the media. -Patrick Holy Crap, did someone just out-bitter me? -
Well, you see AS, the WWE is pushing a new star - you know, new stars?? What people have been BEGGING FOR for 2 year now. Jeez, you people, you're never happy.

The OAO Christmas From Baghdad SD! Thread 12-25-03
RavishingRickRudo replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
So why televise it? If it was "for the troops" and not for the viewing public, why televise it? And if you say "they had soldiers give shout outs", then why not dedicate the whole show to that? It's "for the troops" and that certainly is. Why have Cena vs. Big Show? Why ANNOUNCE IT on a "regular" broadcast if "the show doesn't count". Oh, who cares, this show didn't really mean anything - despite the announcers treating it and the matches as they would any other night... despite the wrestlers being in the same character as they always are when "performing".... Your friends analogy fucking sucks dude, as THIS WASN'T AN INDEPENDENT SHOW YOU DUMB FUCK! Austin being on Smackdown - *especially* when Bischoff said "no going to smackdown" and after they JUST SHOWED THE STORYLINE ON RAW, is completely different than Cox being on an awards show. The equivalent would be Cox showing up *on Friends* after being killed off - cept this was a "very special" episode of Friends where they were in Iraq visiting the troops and Rachel and Ross continued their on-going relationship and Monica shows up to bake a pie for the men and women of the US armed services. And why is this important? Hmm, maybe because every time the WWE goes against their stipulations the next time they make one no one will take it seriously??? Silly me, still having standards... -
The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

What really sucks is that like EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS BOARD got Buffy Season 5... LIFE IS CRUEL! WHY WAS I EVER BORAN!?! -
I'll make this easy: In the Smackdown series, I'm out there trying to win. It's a fighting game. In No Mercy, I'm out there trying to have a good match. It's a wrestling game. I'd give the nod to WM2000 though, since it doesn't slow down, it has the same (if not better) A.I. as Revenge, it has a CAW, and it has quick tap outs (No Mercy doesn't, for some reason) I just got RAW 2 for Christmas - I hated RAW 1 and didn't expect much from this - and you know what? I actually kinda enjoy the game. It has a similar grappling engine as No Mercy (grapple first, then do moves) and I think I could maybe get a good match outta the CPU if I worked at it - that's where the real value of a wrestling game is, for me. I don't care about storymode, I care about matches.

The OAO Christmas From Baghdad SD! Thread 12-25-03

The Show sucked - which was expected. Trying to justify it with "this show doesn't count" is rather ridiculous - since it was meant for broadcast. You can't just pick and choose which shows matter and which don't. And Austin on WWE TV when they *just* re-aired the whole Austin saga on RAW is fucking retarded. -

I didn't get Firefly OR Buffy for xmas... *pouts* Now I know what it's like to not get the lil red firetruck... it almost ruined my xmas until I realized I can exchange a bunch of crappy shirts and take the money and buy the box sets... RRR: Knows the true meaning of Christmas... Joss Whedon - our saviour. It should be called Jossmas. -
Frying Pans, Giant Mousetraps, Lobster Claws - they could keep it up for a few months; then they can freshen him up with a heel turn where he alligns with The Egg Council Representative and Itchy from Itchy and Scratchy land...

Knoble as Mini-Benoit would rule. Infact, a stable of wrestlers worshiping Chris Benoit as their wrestling lord and savior would rule... just sayin... ... and the bumblebee man would be a top notch face in the WWE...

My crazy idea for a movie
RavishingRickRudo replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Television & Film
I would be more interested in the evolution of the oppression of the Oompa Loompas and their eventual emancipation - like, one righteous and good leader breaks the chains of slavery but in-the-end gets betrayed and killed by a corrupt Oompa Loompa, who then in turn creates a more angry society where he provokes the Oompa Loompas to rage against their former oppressors. These societal conflicts and the culture and subculture created would be more interesting than global domination... -

Dude, I SO have an Aunt Edna who knits - but she doesn't give em out for Christmas and it's usually blankets, not socks... but I'm still kinda freaked out... Oh, and um... yay... *takes sip of egg nog* mmm, you can really taste the egg.

C'mon, HHH followed up the "hello, hello, hello" with the smarkiest line of the year "Huh, I didn't know Goldberg made microphones - this doesn't work well either." "Kevin... TEST!" - Lilian Garcia.

DUDE, the amount of death and violence in that show made me disappointed in my mom and dad's parenting skills. "HOW COULD YOU LET ME WATCH THIS!!?!"

Yeah, Starstruck has a bunch of ECW dvd's going at around 30 bucks too. I got lucky and bought a Gladiator Challenge 4 pack for 17 bucks (it's actually cheaper on-line, but convenience makes up for it). I hear that Walmart carries a bunch of good stuff, but I rarely ever see it around here.

Starstruck Entertainment in Square 1 is the best place I've been to for videos. They have King of the Cage and Gladiator Challenge DVD's as well as the aforementioned NWA Florida and FOW and 2 JCW dvds. The HMV in S1 also carried UCC DVD's (2 of them, not there anymore) and Sunrise carried some PRIDE dvd's as well (not anymore). I've had some luck in finding old school WWF, WCW, and UFC tapes at local video rental stores (I even found an IFC tape w/ Igor Vovchanchyn vs. Paul Varlens on it ~sweet~), but that's all for rental (though I have been able to purchase some tapes from the stores at a pretty good price)
