I know, how else can he effectively sulk if he doesn't have those locks flowing in his face?

I thought the monologue was at least ****. The best thing I've seen them do in a while (which, admittedly, is not much). Sudekis and Wiigs' Jim and Pam was so good that I almost want to see this as a regular sketch. Lornes Michael Scott was better the second time I watched it, with the look at the end being the capper.

I liked 23. It really doesn't get all thrillery until the last act, so up till then it's pretty lighthearted, but if you like the twist and don't think about it too much, it's a fine way to waste 2 hours. If you don't like the twist, you'll probably hate it, since the movie pretty much puts its entire weight on it. Also, the top star is Virginia Madsens rack.

They are *really* getting down to business, now. There's like half a dozen things they did tonight that LOST would take a year to do.

Everything in that fight had attached to it this huge weight. Every punch Randy landed was a huge step towards victory, every strike Tim landed was a potential defeat. Every takedown was a leap forward, every guard pass was a win. It wasn't just a fight, it was a series of fights. It's what defines an epic.

The show started off fine with Babalu/Lambert. I say "fine" in the 'fight that was pretty active and back and forth and had its fair share of moments when I thought it was over' way. I say "fine" with the "" around it above because Babalu lost in the most dumbfuck moves of the night that had me sour. Late in the first round Babalu went for a lunging knee and got hammered by Lambert and was almost finished if it wasn't for the bell sounding. There was no real purpose to this move as he didn't get enough height nor did he look to bring Lamberts head down to complete the move. It was basically to close distance in a totally ineffectual manner and he got tagged cause moves like that leave yourself open to a counter. After clearly getting the message that he shouldn't do that ever again and that Lambert has it timed, Babalu, of course, does it again and gets KOd in the second round. I thought the Liddell fight was just overzealousness, but this fight proves that Babalu -while a talented and wellrounded fighter- is dumb as a post. The second fight was Hughes vs. Lytle. I had watched Lytle vs. Ross Mason from Cage Rage (I think CR15) where Lytle completely dominated and looked very good in winning that companies WW title. So it wasn't a big surprise for Lytle to last as long as he did. What was a lil more surprising was Hughes going about as he did, which was a lot more cautiously than anticipated. Clearly he was gunshy about losing 2 in a row, but he worked position way too much when he could have been GnPing. He was looking for one big game ending position and never got it, and because of that, it was a frustrating 3rd round. The first two were very good though, so overall it was a good fight. Lytle sweeping Hughes was a bigtime shock. Third fight was Franklin vs. MacDonald and, well, MacDonald was a good choice of opponent for Rich. He never really had Franklin in trouble and couldn't deal with Riches technique and power standing. The Post Fight Hug from Anderson Silva and the mutual admiration was tremendous, proving that Silva and Franklin not only compete for #1 MW in the UFC, but also "coolest dude in MMA". As of right now, Silva has both titles. The look on his face coming to the ring was PRICELESS. Fourth fight was a banger and I knew the second I said "MCFEDRIES vs. SILVA WOULD BE AWESOME" I knew McFedries would lose it. SWEET headnarm, but even sweeter fake-mount-to-switch by Kampmann. Kid got skills. Fifth fight was amazing.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really want to see this fight again. Fucking Youtube, hurry the fuck up. I want commentary. I heard SHIT after all the table pounding and voice losing.
-
Franklin trains with MFS. I know he's technically under Jorge Gurgel, but his ties are close enough to MFS to be considered one of their own.
-
This was basically Randy vs. Chuck I, but this Chuck was a lot slower, but also was better on the ground. In the past six months MFS went from having 3 champions, to zero. Ouch.

Randy Couture is Forty Fucking Three years old. His injury of being closer to death by a solid fucking decade, having a foot reach disadvantage and being half a foot shorter and 50 pounds lighter is far fucking greater than whatever pain Tim Sylvia has in his pussy. You don't top that. MMA goes downhill from here.

RANDY FUCKING COUTURE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure Paul E watches CSI and will rip from their use of subculture. Vampires, Furries, Street Racers, Lil People, Transexuals, Infantalists, S&M, Boxers... and then in defending these awful plots will claim "hey, CSI does it..."
-
So what does that have to do with you being retarded? Do you like fire? Do you like the bright-bright? Watch out, fire is hot. But then again, if you couldn't figure out the whole ECW creative situation, maybe you won't be able to figure that out either... maybe Meltzer should do a news report and help clue you in.
-
I can't believe some people still have to be told something like that rather than it being totally obvious to them.
-
I'd watch the ECW show just as much as I watch TNA and the WWE.
-
I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but... I know this can't be the old ECW. But you can't really say Sandman coming out to lame generic music is better than Sandman coming out to Enter Sandman. You can't say that Balls vs. Tanaka in a match that was maybe 5 minutes long and ended with a single chair shot was better than what they could have done given more time (in other words, their HH2000 match). This "new" ECW seems a lot like the "old" WWE. And by that I mean, the WWE from 2001-on. I am all for a new ECW, it's just this new ECW is god awful.
-
Then don't watch. Simple. Wow, it must've taken you hours to come up with that one, genius. Please, don't hold back any more pearls of wisdom, because surely the world needs more insight from such a great mind. If we're exchanging suggestions, stab yourself a lot with a really long and sharp knife and see how long you can go before passing out and dying. Simple, you dumb piece of shit.

Yeah, this show didn't tell us anything about what the new WWE project is about... cept... The Wrestlers will use Generic WWE Music. It will be at least 90% WWE guys. They will wrestle the WWE style with WWE pacing. There will be much less blood and hardcore trash on the TV shows. ECW Kurt Angle is a laugh. There will be similar booking in ECW as there is in WWE. The production of ECW will be the same as the WWE. Big Show push #5780 begins where Big Show will squash a bunch of lil guys a lot as they try to rebuild him as a monster and then eventually job him out and then rebuild him, then job him out, then rebuild him, then job him out. Paul Heyman will make a bunch of worthless speeches. Styles and Tazz will be very annoying on commentary. Oh, and since the show is filmed infront of WWE arena audiences, the fans tonight are gone from those shows. And can you imagine what ECW, what a show like this, will be like infront of a WWE arena audience? The direction is pretty clear, skippy, and it's no good.
-
ECW is a WWE project. Therefore it is booked by WWE morons. Don't fool yourself or let Paul E fool you into thinking there is any autonomy in this WWE project. That bullshit vampire line should have been enough to tell you where Paul E stands in this mess. You actually think Paul E would have given Sandman that generic shit? Or let Sandman come out to that generic shit? And you think Sandman is going to stop coming out to that shit after tonight? You think the WWE is not going to produce this ECW show, which means the same sorta camera angles and cuts and shit like that? You are one dumb naive lil cocksucker if you think that.

For those going to One Night Stand in Manhattan

And BTW, TONY MAMALUKE did a better job with applying submissions and mat wrestling than Kurt Angle. -

It was really shitty amateur wrestling too. Kurt can't wrestle that style for shit, which is funny -not because he was an olympic gold medalist- but becuase he's been wrestling that style off and on for 7 years and hasn't improved a lick. -
You don't have to wait and see. It was pretty obvious the direction they are going with this ECW. And it's an awful direction. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fucking fool.

This show sucked. Fuck relaunching the brand, there are other ways to do that than make RVD look like shit for needing Edges help to finish Cena and then to have Paul fucking Heyman make the pin count. It totally screamed out "this won't last", so why does it even matter if RVD won tonight since it was clearly a disputable finish. I don't even like RVD, but this was not the way to relaunch a brands champion. Ballz/Tanaka put me over the hedge for buying this show, and they gave it less than five fucking minutes and it ended in a single fucking chairshot. Totally ruined the show for me. And then... They couldn't even have Sandman come out to the right fucking music. This is going to be a disaster. They actually thought he could come out and do his schtick without the music - there wasn't a fraction of the heat the dude had last year tonight. If they thought that was a good idea, its guaranteed this WWE venture will suck. Hope is gone. And Kurt Angle is the worst worked shooter I have ever seen. John fucking Tenta was better than Kurt Angle.

People were saying Hogan tried to sabotage Warrior before Hogan said, and I'd be more likely to believe Hogan is just going along with it to make himself look smart for seeing Warrior would be a failure, rather than looking like a dumbass for putting a failure over in the first place. Why would Hogan do so much in the match to put Warrior over just to try and bury him in the end? Why did Hogan let Warrior press him? Kick out of the Leg Drop? Doesn't seem like something a guy would do if he was looking to sabotage someone, no?

Great Interview With Paul Heyman About ECW
RavishingRickRudo replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
TNA has lots of problems, I'd say their wrestlers bitching about the WWE is one of the lesser ones to worry about, and really is just a product of a bigger problem (maybe they should just stop hiring WWE rejects?).
