  1. If McPhee sucks it on the next song and Elliot bangs out another gooder, Boobs may be dunski.
  2. No, she did a combo of Hound dog and Shook Up which didn't work at all together. I wouldn't really recommend it... And I wanted another 3 minutes of that from Taylor.
  3. Standard crappy McPhee-wear where she hides part of her jean-worn bottom with a loose top. I thought it was very Elvis-The-Musical-y with the arrangement being crap.
  4. Awesome, McPhee is trying to be the next Mariah.
  5. Yeah, Elliot fucking kicked it on that one. A combination of one of his best performances as well as Seacrest dropping the "underdog" line, could help him be the spoiler for one of the other three. Chris was about 90% of what I thought it would be. I thought he was a lil too mellow on it, though. Taylor was -50%. Elliot, as always, exceeded expectations.
  6. Ok, Taylor is stealing the show with this one. In the worst possible way.
  7. Well, Hughes is a necessary element in both BJ and St. Pierres rematches with him, however, he is like the English Channel. The story about swimming the channel isn't really about the body of water, it's about those swimming it.
  8. Chris is going to slay with Suspicious Minds, but Taylor could steal the show with Jail House Rock. I can't see either guy going home if the perform those two songs as good as I think they can. "Falling in Love with You" is a trump card song, but I can see Katharine mis-playing it (though I can almost as easily see her hitting it out of the park - it's one of those songs, and McPhee is one of those performers) which means Poor Elliot is going to have to really step it up tonight and hope his streak of progressively better performances is intact and maybe then some.
  9. I think CSI is getting a lil too stylized now and it sorta has taken over the show, plus they seem to be in the simpsons territory of coming up with whacky scenarios because they have no ideas left under their older format (plus the "success" of previous storylines doesn't help either). Season 4, imo, was their best season, and I'd say they had gotten progressively better each season up until 5. But there are some truly great episodes and character relationships, as well as, twists.
  10. Saying someone "isn't a draw at all" with no knowledge of what the shows end ticket sales are is ridiculous. What if Hughes/Gracie is in the top 5 drawing cards in UFC history? What if it's one of the biggest of the year? Both of which are very likely given the UFCs history and their current ticket prices.
  11. In regards to pacing, building (and escalating) moves and pay-off spots, and execution of moves, I thought Albert did an expert job. I think he needs to get better strikes and maybe sell a lil bit less if he is playing the monster role.
  12. What episode did you watch?
  13. Toroko is much quicker than Hughes, plus Royce didn't have time to train for him and he has had 5 months to train for Hughes. You want to talk about facts...
  14. In Forrest Gump, did Jenny die of AIDS? And if-so, does that meant Forrest and Forrest Jr. have AIDS?
  15. Royce will take down Matt Hughes. Hughes can't tap him from his back, try to escape and give Royce his back. Royce will choke Hughes out.
  16. Someone want to define "better"?
  17. ****** PLEASE NOTE: The $100.00 and $50.00 price levels have SOLD OUT! ****** - ticketmaster LOGE LEVEL 100'S US $600.00 - US $1,000.00 FLOOR SEATING US $800.00 - US $1,000.00 PREMIER LEVEL US $400.00 - US $800.00 LOGE LEVEL 200'S US $400.00 CONCOURSE LEVEL 300'S US $200.00 So the 30% off would be on the above tickets. And again, the UFC prices at a premium, and a huge one at that, so 30% off their $1000 tickets is still $700. While lowering the price does say that they aren't moving what they _want_, it is different from what they _expect_ and what is still considered "good drawing" or "selling well", which I think is Dave jumping the gun more than anything. The first show was inflated by scalpers buying up lots of tickets as well as their first show in Cali, so this show will reflect a more realistic view of what the UFC can draw in Cali. The UFC will still come out of this show rolling in dough, but they will have to negotiate their ticket prices - and since they price so high, they have some room to find out the highest price the market is willing to accept - that's pure economics.
  18. "Draw that well" is pretty relative. But they definitely overestimated the market and they over-price as it is.
  19. Yeah, we did too. Man, I had totally forgotten about that.
  20. Stan Hansen whipped Japanese fans with his bullrope. And if Stan Hansen does it, it is professional wrestling.
  21. I am watching this David Alan Grier stand up and it has to be the unfunniest stand up I have ever seen. His career highpoint had to be McHales Navy.
  22. And in it's place you got a story to tell about Homicide taking your hat. Everybody wins.
  23. Man, there are a bunch of pussies on this board.
