I think Clark is unfortunately going to wind up as the VP of whoever wins so that said candidate does not look weak on defense. I think the whole story of the match was that he beat the crap out of the Shawn who hasn't wrestled for years and years but thought he could still go, and brought out the "old" Shawn. Or something. He goes from being like any other wrestler in a hardcore match to full HBK mode, although he loses a lot of selling the transition. Your looking for reason in the wrestling as it tells the story, but the whole story is about defying reason.
