Never underestimate Rick Dudley, he'll probably trade him for some Euro no one has heard of. The Panthers didn't have a response, but it's likely that Luongo wants Giguere money (and rightfully so), but who knows if Florida can even pay him what he wants.

I'm for firing Martin, as long as he's replaced by someone who has a history of success. I thought Thornton was bad under pressure, Bonk shrinks down even lower than that.

I still don't think TO has any chance of making it anywhere in the rest of the playoffs. Belfour will break down. THEN TO is fucked. The only hole for Ottawa this year was goaltending. They improved defensively, offensively, had the best PP, two of the best PK. And it all means nothing because Lalime can't stop two bad angle shots.

Patrick Lalime played like shit this season and why Ottawa didn't get Kolzig at the deadline is still beyond me. This I don't understand. Alfredsson lit a fire under their asses by guaranteeing they'd be back for game 7, he's been playing decently, but he's a great PK and the point man on the PP. Redden maybe, but CHARA?! FFS, he's been the only constant. He's the biggest guy in the league and can play in a variety of positions (front of the net on the PP, defensive defenseman, offensive defenseman, PK, PP). Trade Radek Bonk. They've given him chance after chance after chance, and he's proven that he doesn't rise up to the challenge in a tight series. Trade him, make room for Spezza and move on. Trading Bonk for either picks, or a few prospects would restock the farm system and allow them to be deep at the trade deadline like they were this season. Put Lalime on the block. Personally, Kolzig would be my choice.
