You and Mik against MILLIONS that wanted Chicago, either because they actually have a loyal fucking fanbase that is there for the bad time unlike 90% of those 63,000 at Pro Player Stadium who could give two shits about the team until they started winning again or found them to be a emotionally dramatic team to watch. because the fans had been shit on for the last what? 6 years? Interesting fact: Marlins have only had TWO .500+ seasons in their history. People down here like a winner. In any sport. They will now support this team, provided they don't get gutted again.

Well, I don't really like the Cubs, so I preferred the Marlins making it too.
-
Hmm... just a question, how many games did you watch? I know that Sox/Yanks was dramatic, but Florida/Yanks was a pretty good series in itself.
-
He's on Ed. I just never watch the show. Mo Rocca fucking owns too.
-
Uh, no. Games 4, 5, 6 were three of the best baseball games of the postseason, regardless of who won.

Michael Ian Black tries too hard.

Stolen from MTV.com Raised in a musical family, acclaimed singer-songwriter Smith first recorded with Portland, Oregon-based alternative rockers Heatmiser. Despite achieving a modicum of success with this band's generic Fugazi-inspired hard rock, Smith felt happier recording acoustic material on his home four-track set-up. His solo career began after he mailed a tape to local independent label Cavity Search. His debut set, Roman Candle, appeared in 1994. The album introduced Smith's sparse folky style and introspective lyricism, redolent of the work of English singer Nick Drake. Later releases appeared on the Olympia, Washington-based independent label Kill Rock Stars, as Smith balanced his solo career with his continuing involvement in Heatmiser. By 1997's Either/Or, however, Heatmiser had split and Smith relocated to Brooklyn. His big break came about when cult film director and long-time fan Gus Van Sant used six of Smith's songs on the soundtrack to his acclaimed Good Will Hunting. The stand-out track "Miss Misery' was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, leading to the memorable sight of a dour Smith performing at March 1998"s Academy Award ceremony. Smith had already taken the plunge earlier in the year and signed to the DreamWorks label. Any worries that a major label would choke his independent spirit and songwriting skills were dispelled when the superb XO was released in August. Produced (like Either/Or) by Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf of Bong Load, the album confirmed that Smith had developed into one of the finest songwriters of the 90s. His old albums were also re-released by Domino.

I don't think Mik has enough luck to bring the Cup to Toronto. Maybe if some of the Senators will be nice and take it around the city or something.

I can't help but feel bad for the players in this situation. It's not their fault that Montreal has had piss poor management, but it's taken out on them with horrible road trips, not having a real home stadium, not being able to make trades at the deadline to get them to the playoffs, etc. This makes MLB look bad, and is terrible for Expos morale.

Pick someone on a good offensive team that plays on a top line.

That's odd too, considering that the Habs are off to a good start, despite getting smacked down by Ottawa tonight

Weaver, since becoming a Yankee, has been a mess. He's had a glimmer of hope every once in a while, but he would just follow that with a Weaver Special and get booed off the mound. Weaver's the type of guy that could strike out 15 in a game, but still lose by 6 runs.
-
Heh, I think that one thing that we know for sure is that Jeff Weaver is gone.
-
OK, I get it. You think that the Yankees are a good team (which they are), but you don't slight Florida?
-
That's all well and good, but do/would Yankee fans feel shame losing to the Marlins, knowing that they are actually a pretty good team?
-
Do you have shame in losing to the Marlins this year, AS? I ask that in a completely unbiased way.

I like spicy ones, but I stick to chicken strips more.

I dunno, Rosenpenis is too good but John Cocktooston is a great substitution. It's an odd combination
