The frustrating thing right now about the ECW project, is that it is so obvious by watching last night's show that they have the pieces to the puzzle that they need to make a successful and ECW-like show, but it pains all of us to see that whoever is ultimately in charge just doesn't get "it" and is fine with throwing an ECW banner and some ECW workers into a WWE show.

The second episode was on the other night, and it was pretty damn good.

At least they are keeping the same name they used to use for their big December ECW Arena show. Of course it was usually the follow-up show to November to Remember, which was ECW's Wrestlemania.

Washington Aquired TJ Duckett to be a 3rd Down back in goalline situations. The reason for this is because several teams are after Ladel Betts(Portis's backup), he is in the last year of his contract, could be starting on some teams, and he has been a part of a lot of rumors as being traded away for depth on the O-line. I believe now that this trade actually happened, that Betts will be traded soon.

Ok so yeah, you have to give it to whoever is booking ECW, because having five matches in a one hour show is pretty bold, but honestly, I would have cut out the Bikini Contest(There was no need for it considering Dreamer/Sandman vs. Knox/Test is already established by now) to make the CM Punk/CW Anderson match longer, it had the potential to be really good, but it was just so goddamned short. Also, in case people didn't notice, RVD is still THE MAN in this brand. He is the one guy right now with the crossover appeal for ECW and WWE fans. In my opinion, he needs to become the champ again ASAP, and have a long reign before putting over someone like CM Punk, because THAT is how you can get Punk to the next level. Also, ECW needs AT LEAST a Television Title to be brought back, because it gives the mid-carders something to do besides just have random matches. Someone on here said 2 Cold Scorpio wrestled on the undercard. Well lets hope he is still agile, and can get it done in the ring, because I would really enjoy him coming back. ECW needs two hours, and it's own tapings. You can see how there is a lot of potential for things to take off, but trying to jam it all into an hour show is hurting the product.

How? Repetitive booking, nonexistant storylines, lackluster matches, stupid gimmicks, and the burial of every old ECW wrestler to a degree that shocked even the most cynical of hardcore fans. Yeah, basically, but ECW has slightly been able to make it entertaining in the process, not to mention solid Main Events up until Batista/Big Show which was almost worth it just to hear the crowd shit all over it.

Lets hear some predictions as to how tonight's Main Event ends. I doubt it is going to be clean, maybe RVD will determine the outcome, by either attacking Big Show or inadvertanly costing Sabu the match.....

Umm...well, nothing. He did his job on a screen pass picking up about seven yards. He got a 8 yard run because a tackler missed, he didn't make the tackler miss so much as Newman just doesn't know how to tackle. Exactly. I love Terrance Newman as a shutdown cover corner but his tackling skills in the backfield are probably the weakest part of his game. They made it sound like Bush got around Ray Lewis in his prime or something. Ummm WTF? Terrance Newman a shutdown corner? Yeah Right....

I find it hilarious that Paul Heyman's on-air character is probably a representation of how Vince McMahon truly feels about ECW-Originals. I would hope Big Show somehow drops the belt, but then it would kind of make the Summerslam match pointless. Maybe Sabu will have Big Show beat, and then Test/Knox run in, setting up a six-man tag the following week!?! I am still interested to see RVD's part in all of this.... Hopefully CM Punk wrestles someone BESIDES Justin Credible.

Saw III's trailer doesn't give much in terms to what the plot is, but I guess we can assume a similar situation as the other two. The Screening looks like some BRUTAL SHIT, although it comes off really similar to the flick DEMONS, although I think this flick has the people turning mad/insane rather then zombies.

The administration has thus far not said or argued or debated anything worthwhile to suggest that they couldn't achieve their objectives while still remaining within the bounds of the law. Something tells me that they don't want to have to go to the courts because then they actually have to tell the judge who they are wiretapping. Currently they don't, they just do it, which brings up the issue that Invader3k stated, regarding wiretapping political opponents, reporters etc...because they simply never have to answer to anyone regarding who they are wiretapping. If all they are doing is what they claim, which is wiretapping suspicious people, then there should be absolutely NO PROBLEM with going to a judge to state, "this person could be a threat to national security, we need to wire tap them" Plus, they are even legally allowed to start the wiretapping before they go to the judge, as long as they do go to the judge eventually. It just seems like everything they want to do, can be done within the bounds of the law, and it raises suspicion when they are so adamant about not having to follow the law.

That really sucks that Chicago got jipped out of a PPV, because an ECW crowd acted like an ECW crowd.

A WWE boom merely requires the right superstar at the right time. If Austin or The Rock were brand new in 2006, trust me, business would be booming in 2006, Vince just needs to inadvertanly find the next superstar to fit the bill. For a boom in Pro-wrestling overall, well that is less likely, because WWE would need a real competitor. Sadly, I think when ECW and WCW died, a lot of people just gave up on Wrestling, and nothing thus far has been able to bring them back, and the more time that goes by, the less likely they will ever come back.

There are actually people complaining in this thread that the PPV is missing UT & Kane!?!

Holyfield won his comeback fight in convincing fashion last night. TKO round 2....of course I don't know much about his competition. Also, it looks like the guy who just beat Rahman, Tasketav(sp?) is trying to line up a fight with Wlad for a title vs. title fight.

Mike, we should work something out. Is The Big Show vs Sabu even extreme rules? Well, if by "work something out" you mean coming to my house, then sure. I usually have 5-6 people over per PPV, except for WM when fuckers show up from every unturned rock. Everyone usually throws in about $5 or so, and everyone brings food/beverage to share, we usually have a stupid theme, like, once it was BBQ, once it was mexican food etc etc....Depending on where in the Bay Area you live, it is probably approx 90min drive. I have a guy coming down from San Leandro(He used to live out here in Sacramento) he's Dangerous_A on TSM. Also, Ced & Darthtiki from TSM. Anyways, if you are serious, then just PM me for more info. If the Big Show/Sabu match is an Extreme Rules match, I bet it opens.

and this is a bad thing why? If anything, it should improve his mobility in the ring. Of course, there is no guarantee he will ever be any good in the ring, but not being so grotesquely muscular will certainly improve his chances.
