  1. The only problem there is Striker has yet to show he can be a major player in the new ECW, while Shane Douglas was an established ECW Star, it remains to be seen what Striker can or can't do when he is not taking cues from a ready-made script. All Striker really does now is the cheap "hardcore/extreme is stupid and I am so smart" heat. It's not hard, but it also doesn't necessarily mean Strike CAN'T do it, but he just hasn't shown it yet.
  2. I'd rather have it the way it was then to have RVD actually help out DX. I would agree except for the fact that the Main Event tonight in E-C-W, did NOTHING to further along any E-C-W angles or storylines. This exact same match could have taken place on RAW, and I would have been fine with it, but on an E-C-W show, they should be concentrating on furthering E-C-W storylines ahead. As if DX needs any help from ECW anyway.
  3. So yeah it was the perfect setting for an RVD run in, considering he is kind of in a feud with Holly, and he wants the title from Big Show, but of course not in this world, in this world we need SUPER-DX to fight off four wrestlers on their own. Overall I liked the show, until of course the Main event. Funny how RVD and Sabu are usually headlining ECW shows, yet this week they are relegated to curtain jerking as to systematically remove them from people's thoughts by the time the 40 year old pranksters hit the ring.
  4. Not sure if this was already posted, so I will put it here....... http://www.pwinsider.com/elite/ViewA...p?id=20084&p=1 To all my respective fans in WWE/ECW, The letter you are about to read is not from WWE, nor from my agent, but from me- Kurt Angle…to my all fans. This is my personal ‘Thank You’ straight from my heart, to all my fans for being here with me and providing me with the most honorable privilege to perform and entertain for you. Thank you for tuning into your TVs weekly, for visiting me at hundreds of house show chanting ‘You Suck’ (I love that phrase), to every single good, bad or indifferent e-mail I’ve received over the past 6 years and continue to receive daily. Thank you for being there and making my life truly blessed. When I came to WWE, many fans had doubts that an Olympic Gold Medalist in Amateur Wrestling could turn and master the art of Sports Entertainment. To my humble surprise, God graciously granted me the gift to make this exciting transition in my life. Coming into the WWE, I had one goal in mind...to be the VERY BEST! Many say I am; some may say I'm not. But I want you to know with over six solid years of non-stop wrestling action under my belt from all the shows to the world tours...I treated every single match as if it were my last! I’ve never known a time in my life from training, competition or entertainment that I have not tried to give over 100%. I honestly do not know of any other way to wrestle or perform, and I have always wanted to give YOU, the fans, what I would expect to see. From the entertainment standpoint, (good guy or bad guy), it’s been truly exciting, but I know in my heart that I have not reached my peak. Critics have compared me to very honorable wrestlers like Rick (sic) Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker, all of whom I value and truly respect. But there is one BIG difference between us. I am by far the most aggressive and intense athlete of all on the mat. When I step into the ring, I treat it as real, it feels real and then I play it like a real shoot fight. As an amateur wrestler for 23 years and a pro for 6, unfortunately over the past 4 years I have suffered many injuries. I broke my neck twice and had two major neck surgeries. I’ve fractured my ribs, hip, tailbone, fingers and toes while also tearing almost every major muscle at least one time or another. Injuries have always been a natural part of the business and my life, but where I have failed is not taking the time off to recover. When I’m off the mental stress, sitting back becomes worse than the physical pain. Something tells my inner soul to go back regardless of the condition. The funny thing is, this obsession is what the industry loves, but this obsession can also be my destruction. Week after week, day after day, 250 days a year on the road can be a living hell for anyone, especially when you're in daily pain for months on end. It was at home when I began to realize how severe the problems were- when a simple task like taking out the garbage is like a full workout and I needed Motrin in order to get up and do it. It’s time to rest! After 6 long years, I looked into my wife’s eyes and finally saw that she, too, was severely stressed and worn out due to my livelihood that she had to endure. My 3-year old daughter Kyra basically became my nurse, thinking she had to put ice packs or heating pads on my neck, back and legs because she could see the pain her daddy was in. At this point, something happened that made me realize that wrestling wasn't the most important thing in my life. I sat down with my wife Karen, who had tears in her eyes. I could see in her face how concerned she was for me. She said, “I love you. I didn't marry you because you were a WWE Superstar. I married you before you ever joined them. Kurt, I’m so worried that if you continue going at this pace, something bad is really going to happen and I don't want Kyra and Kody (our unborn son) to grow up without their father.” I did take this all to heart, but then, as usual, a couple of days later, I went back on the road, wanting to electrify my new ECW fans. My last event was at the Westchester Arena in White Plains, New York. The show was sold out. The main event was me against RVD. I had a great match against RVD as the fans were cheering for both of us. The more we wrestled (Rob and I wrestle more of a realistic shoot style), the more I wanted to give them. Ten inutes into the match, I severely pulled my groin. Most wrestlers would have quit right on the spot. But the fans were chanting louder and louder "THIS MATCH RULES!" continuously, so I kept going. Compensating for my groin injury, I pulled my lower abdominal muscle off my pelvic bone. Now, I was in trouble, but I looked up at the fans and they were screaming louder than ever. So Rob and I started into our finish, false finish after false finish, back and forth. But the one thing the fans noticed is that I was doing half of the match on one leg. That made it feel even more real for the fans. I can only thank God and the fans for keeping me going, as I was in so much pain. And at the end of the match, I had the opportunity to beat RVD. I set him up for the Angle Slam and Rob countered with a flying DDT. My hamstring blew out. The fans cheered and I could not move in the ring. As the agonizing pain grew greater, I could only look around. Every fan was on their feet giving me a standing ovation. And this was at a house show, not a PPV. My only regret was that I could not stand up and thank them all for it. To the ones who love me, the ones who hated me and even the ones who loved to hate me- You were and are my inspiration. God was and is my strength and so is my family—my Mom, sister and brothers, my father (God rest his soul), my Manager Dave Hawk and most especially, my wife Karen, who went through hell during my career. She has never given up on me. Fans, thank you all for the memories. It was quite a ride. I would not trade any of it for the world. As I sit here a bit teary eyed, I do want all of you to know, I will be fine. I will finally get to spend some real quality time with my family… time that is much, much overdue. My plan and goal is to become stronger mentally, physically and spiritually. I, Kurt Angle, will be back! That’s a promise. And that’s DAMN TRUE! Vince, if you happen to read this, I want to again say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a great man! When we get together, the next cup of coffee is on me. ; ) God Bless, Kurt Angle
  5. Funny how it seems that whenever Raw guys are in the ECW Main Event, the ECW Preview is a page full of nonsense with one match announced, yet when RAW guys aren't on the show, the ECW preview is short, concise, to the point and announces 2-3 matches. I think possibly tonight, RVD will make the save, or attempt a save, and then get put into the match at Unforgiven. It would really help with his building to a title chase/feud with Big Show.
  6. I went to China Town last year and bought a pastry from the bakery, and I had a bite and it was awesome. Then my next bite took me to the center of the thing and with it, I was biting into something with a gummy texture....I almost lost it and barely avoided throwing up on the spot. I know a lot of Asian cultures use beans as a dessert mixed with a lot of sugar, and I was prepared for that, but I had totally forgotten that they often use a lot of gelatin too, but not what we think of aka JELLO, they use that generic cheap ass gelatin, and it was in the middle of my goddamn pastry....haha.
  7. Are you the type that has to get every last bit of melted cheese off of the wrapper and into your mouth, or do you just let go of whatever is still stuck to the paper when you unwrap your burger? I used to work with a guy on a swing shift, he would unwrap his burger, look for cheese n stuff melted to the paper, and literally grind the paper across his teeth to get everything...lol. Me personally, when it comes to burgers I usually let all that stuff stuck to the paper go, however if I go to Taco Bell or some place like it, I usually do eat the stuff that falls out of the taco when I take a bite. I usually save all the stuff, and combine it together and make a Kitchen Sink finisher...lol.
  8. when he said "kurdled" it reminded me of the shot, Cement Mixer.
  9. Don't be so sure. It really depends on the age of the crowd. There are plenty of youngling Canadian wannabe gangsta types that will cheer for Cena. Canada is not nearly as partisan as it was in the mid-late 90's. The past few years I would say they have been pretty dissapointing and willing to go with the WWE Flow most of the time.
  10. If WWE Creative was smart, they would put RVD into the McMahon/Big Show vs. DX match, not only to make it even, but because it would help build RVD/Big Show in ECW. Something tells me though that because we are dealing with HBK & HHH, that they would rather win a handicap match and look like gods overcoming the odds, then do something good for the business.
  11. When i was a kid I had a crush on the chick that played Eevie(sp?) on Out of this World. Probably Kelly Kapawlski(Tiffany Amber Theisin) too.
  12. Cheapest here is approx 2.81...someone check the polls, the lower Bush goes, the lower the gas prices go.
  13. The problem these days is that the media is basically in bed with the government, whether it is the broken will or outright refusal to actually report news instead of celebrity culture, or high profile cases like Jon Benet. I mean really, could you see THAT kind of a documentary airing on CNN or Fox, hell even on ABC? Also, the documentary didn't even get into the corporate side of the war too much, and all the beneficiaries and contracts etc etc etc....I would like to see one about that aspect of the war, especially the effects it has had on Iraqi citizens that are refused employment and told to just basically sit around, do nothing, and wait for their bread and water, continuing the cycle of poverty amongst Iraqis, which nine times out of ten serves as motivation to join the resistence. EDIT: Another scary aspect of this documentary is how easily guys like Rumsfield, Wolfowitz, Cheney etc....were and still are basically facilitated to go on the air and make up a bunch of bullshit to scare the american people, and why the fact that the CIA is calling these guys nutbags is not emphasized MORE. I mean it would be one thing if our intelligence community agreed with them, but in both cases, Cold War, and Terrorism era, the CIA basically said these guys were wrong just about on everything, yet it seems like that part was barely covered by the media.

    NFL - Week One.

..and the best part is, with all five RBs, Reid still won't run the ball.

If Peter truly won, there is NO WAY he won by those margins, the dude is so fucking inaccurate, even with the fact that he was in with Toney who has superb defense, he still barely hit Toney when Toney was standing still. Also, I think he threw ONE COMBO the entire fight...... I wanted Peter to KO Toney so bad....but all I saw was Toney outclass the Nigerian Nightmare, and then get hosed in the decision.
  16. Just wait till part two, as a track from the Halloween score is used....

Oh, and I hope Peter knocks Toney the fuck out.

I think with Wlad vs. Corrie Sanders, it was also a case of Wlad coming out of the lockerroom cold, like he had been laying around for an hour prior to the fight, rather then warming up, shadow boxing and the other stuff fighters do in the pre-fight prep. His body was dry as hell, and the announcers eluded to it before the opening bell even sounded. His corner had as much to be ashamed about in that fight. The, Brewster fight, now THAT was a case of being gassed and tired, rather then being hurt. When the bell sounded to end the round, he got up and was huffing and puffing so hard, and then he collapsed, but it was not because he was hurt, not equilibrium problems either, he was just dog tired. Brewster had an effective gameplan, well sort of....survive a vicious beatdown for five rounds and hope he is still standing to knock down a tired Wlad.
  19. I just finished the 3rd part. Very good documentary. I think it did a great job of explaining the rise of Neoconservatism in America as well as the Islamists in the Middle East, and how both philosophies are fundamentally flawed. I wish we could have documentaries like these air in America.
  20. It's not a REAL PARTY until Jason Voorhees shows up to kill all of the sinners.
  21. Telling Carlito to act like the Rock is lame....then again Carlito thinking he should be having a Main Event push, is also lame.
  22. I am sure Paul Heyman has a perfectly acceptable plan and card for the December PPV......of course I am also sure, Gertwitz, Stephanie and Vince will do everything in their power to foil his plans and go with their own LAME ideas.
  23. When he's done with everyone in Hip Hop, he'll go after Rock and Metal superstars. Watch him come out with Piggy Bank 2 dissing Metallica, Megadeath, AC/DC, and Slipknot. Yeah, and he'll be promptly no sold.
  24. It's long, but pretty good....give it a watch. All three parts can be watched here.... http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/video1037.htm
  25. I went to school for Computer Networking but I stopped, because I hated it, so I settled for the lesser certificate as a Computer Support Specialst. Networking/Active Directory etc....just seemed like a waste of time to learn in school and be wasting lots of money on, because at most companies I have worked for, they would just teach them Active Directory on the job to a certain extent. If you are computer literate, and can take directions then it isn't all that complicated, but trying to learn it in a classroom enviornment just for the sake of learning it, is a fucking really boring time. That and this industry is hard as fuck to get an entry level job in. I have all but given up.
