  1. Jesus Christ, it's ignorant nits like you that make me want to pull my hair out. Watch the news, read the fucking papers. It's not as if the U.S. government was SURPRISED yesterday by the British; the Brits have been in contact with us over this, and President Bush himself had known about this operation for at least several days now. It's okay, though, keep letting your own irrational hatred of Bush blind you to those pesky little things called facts. Feel free to continue insulting Israel while you're at it; thankfully, they've never given a shit about opinions from those such as you, which is perhaps why they've managed to survive as long as they have. BTW, want to know how the British were able to sniff out this plot and stop it? Through the use of call intercepts, bank record surveillance, and data-mining, all of those things that the liberals tell us are BAD and we CAN'T use; the stuff that the New York Times likes to leak all over the place. Well, what do you fucking know, those tactics actually work to STOP terrorism? Sadly, if I did nothing but listen to the U.S. media, I'd have never known. No one said we CAN'T use them, but just go through the proper means of obtaining the information. That's all.
  2. I am just curious as to where the notion that Saddam was just itching to attack the US came from in the first place...!?!
  3. The problem is not the one hour timeslot, but the fact that it is a LIVE one hour show. Once the original deal ends, maybe the new deal will include either a two hour timeslot or it just won't be live anymore, and the show will be taped in front of an ECW crowd every week where they can tape 2-3 weeks worth of tapings, that way it would be much easier to debut new wrestlers, and introduce new belts.
  4. ...and think we found WMDs.... (and no not Rick Sanitorum-brand WMDs)
  5. So...what? I also watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC, C-Span etc......I never said I watch FSTV more then anything else. It really just depends on what programming is on. I like some of the documentaries they show, and Democracy Now happens to be a news program that is heavy on news and light on spectacle, which is rare for ANY network these days.
  6. They could, rather easily, by just introducing a tournament and every week have a round of the tournment. It would be such an easy way to introduce new guys, and to build storylines and of course to get the belts on someone. I wouldn't be suprised if ECW got a two hour timeslot after the initial Sci-Fi deal is done, and maybe then more titles will be introduced.
  7. OLN = Outside Life Network?
  8. Safety videos are hilarious because you can't really decide if they are telling you to do these things to be safe, or just because they don't want you just standing around for the 10 minutes that you might actually not have customers.
  9. I don't think people resent Britney, the teenybopper, but the problem in today's pop world is that these teenyboppers aren't going away when they get older. It seemed like the media and the record labels were trying to get her over so hard as a legit talent and not just a teenybopper sensation, and when it was up to Britney herself to prove it, she failed miserably. The whole stunt with madonna was such a desperate attempt by one, an aging former pop icon, to stay in the limelight, and two a teenybopper trying to go legit, it was very contrived, and it hardly deserved the attention it got.
  10. Really, we are arguing semantics here. The fact is you really need both. In terms of the WWE and the casual fans, a compelling story and character is probably more important then a ***** match, however they still did deliver in the ring somewhat to enjoyable matches, unlike today where we have such empty hollow characters like John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista. When you have Austin & The Rock as your Main Eventers, the overall entertainment value and spectacle of the match can far over-reach the workrate, but that is because of the guys involved in the match, people truly cared about them, kind of like Hogan during his era, people didn't care so much about the workrate because they felt emotionally involved in the match Today's WWE Main Eventers can't mask a *-** ME match because they aren't compelling in the least, and since the fans don't care about their character and/or storyline, they tend to actually pay attention to the match itself, the workrate, which is subpar at best.
  11. Free Speech TV. I believe every major broadcast company has it. On Dish it is channel 9415. Hmm, from wikipedia: "The network is often accused by its detractors of advocating extreme left-wing ideals and causes, and its programming is often very critical of the United States, President George W. Bush and his administration." What a surprise you're into this. Glad to see you went for the fair and balanced route. I'd best not catch you mocking Fox News again, or you'll get a talking too. Bill O'Reilly will call Fox Security on you. Right, because a show on the importance of enviornmental regulations is SOOO anti-american. Anti-corporatocracy, maybe.
  12. That's what worries me. We can live in a country where any form of personal convenience is disallowed but as long as we don't get blown up, we win. I on't feel my personal liberties have been threatened. But at some point, we have to step back and realize that winning a war against terrorism is not simply a matter of survival. We haven't lost civilian lives to terrorism in five years, but we're paying twice as much for gasoline. A small band of Islamic fundamendalists have done much to stretch our resources thin, more so than they really should have any ability to. Well that's what happens when certain events in history are used to launch a new international policy while the country is too scared to question the administration. Hellooooo 2002~! Of course it is nice and very convenient that the majority of America is coming around on this now, but it would have been a hell of a lot nicer had these same people been paying this much attention BEFORE these actions had been set into motion. It would have been a hell of a lot easier to prevent the war in iraq from starting, then trying to manage the current situation.
  13. Maybe they will turn RVD's suspension into an angle. Maybe we see Sabu win Tuesday in the classic way where RVD has the match won, and Sabu comes out of nowhere to win the match and the show goes off the air with RVD giving off a look of frustration and anger, then Sabu goes on to win the title at Summerslam, and the following Tuesday we see RVD kind of feel stand-offish towards Sabu, and this behavior continues, until RVD attacks Sabu and it is revealed that RVD feels Sabu "sold him out" and saved his own ass which caused RVD to take the brunt of the punishment. This of course would lead to an RVD heel turn and a title match between the two in December at the ECW PPV, in front of a rabid ECW crowd.
  14. Well I think Sabu wins this, because if not, then it would have been a waste of time having Sabu go after Big Show, verbally(backstage) and attacking him two weeks in a row. I see no problem with Sabu taking the strap at the PPV, and him and RVD feuding over the belt for awhile, but I could just as easily see The Big Show retaining the title and holding it until December, for the ECW stand-alone PPV, because that will probably be in front of an ECW crowd that would be SUPER-JACKED to see RVD win the belt.
  15. Wait, so Lieberman being as liberal as he is by your own account is "actually a likeable guy out of the party" Face reality, people want the war to end and end fast, and people who support that notion are going to get voted in. This is the wrong thinking. Lieberman may be just as liberal as most of the far left, but the "perception" is that he's a moderate. Plus he's likeable, just like McCain is. Winning a democratic primary, is different than winning an open election. To win a popular election, you need mainstream moderate support. Lieberman could get that. I dont think the ultra left moveon.org kooks will. In fact, I know they wont. You may be able to win primaries, but you wont win the popular election. Popular elections are generally won by mainstream candidates with crossover appeal, not won by only the far left/right base. Jerry Falwell isnt going to win any elections. Neither are the MoveOn.org people. Maybe you believe that MoveOn.org and Howard Dean represent mainstream America? Well you can believe that. It's not true of course. So what does this reply have to do with Ned Lamont? Was he personally handpicked by moveon.org? It honestly feels like conservatives have made moveon.org ten times as big as it ever was before they started mentioning it every night. Seriously, do THAT many people even care about moveon.org ?
  16. One problem is that Don King wants a HW tournament, but only for fighters he has under his umbrella. For awhile he seemed open to the winner of his tounry taking on Klitscho but who knows now. I know one problem is that too many heavyweight title bouts get put on PPV simply because they are title fights, and people are just not going to pay that kind of money to see guys they don't believe in.

    Gatorade

I was never much of a Gatorade fan until last week when I had the Grape Fierce flavor.......OMG that was a tasty drink. Are the other "fierce" brands as good?
  18. Wait, so Lieberman being as liberal as he is by your own account is "actually a likeable guy out of the party" and he happens to be one of the most liberal of the party, yet the guy who beats him who in his ownright is probably just as liberal, with the simple difference coming down to the War in Iraq(Not to mention siding with Frist on Terry Schiavo) is now suddenly a "Ultra Socialist Whackjob" Riiiiiight. Face reality, people want the war to end and end fast, and people who support that notion are going to get voted in.

    Wiiiiii!!!!

It's weird because it seems around here a lot of people have HD TVs, but they don't understand that you don't simply just plug in the tv, hook up the cable box and it is magically HD, so they have basically gone over a year with the tv, having it not properly hooked up, or not having the other equipment required to make viewing in HD a reality

    HDTV

How long until Ultra-HD hits retail stores? I have a 46" CRT Toshiba 16X9 Widescreen HD TV, and I think it is good enough to hold onto until one day in the far future that Ultra-HD is affordable.
  21. It's weird because they don't list any of the extras on the 2-disc set for the original NOES. I already have the box set, but I would probably double-dip for the original NOES if the extras are good, all the sequels I am perfectly happy with as just being part of the Nightmare Boxset.
  22. The show is still funny, but I am starting to think it has run it's course. It's not that the ideas aren't good, but after five seasons, you just see most every twist and turn coming from a mile away.
  23. Looks like my 'Skins will be on National TV this Sunday against the Bengals....!!!
  24. So is this movie about the overall events on 9/11, or is it more about the NYFD, because the trailer or at least the TV sports make it seem like it is about Nic Cage and the NYFD, which makes me wonder if Stone just goes with the flow regarding such cloudy events as supposedly the motorolla walkie-talkies not working when the NYFD Chief tells his crew to evacuate the WTC buildings because of an imminent collapse, yet to coverup Guliani's no-bid contract to Motorolla, they "official story" was told that The Fireman got the message to evacuate, but they just decided not to and try to get more people out!?!
  25. Lieberman had to know going into the midterm elections, that the War was going to be the biggest issue out there. We are what, four years into this war, and it seems like things are getting worse, if not more secretive with every passing day. There still doesn't seem to be a clear plan on how to get the troops out of there, or a clear objective as to what "Victory" means. Knowing all of this, Lieberman still chooses to support the GOP's majority view on this war and THAT is what cost him the primary.
