Sure it is dishonest, it's politics. -

No, Bush said "there is no draft on the way" however, anyone has the right to refute his claim if they want. -
RNC sends a 'cease & desist' to Rock the Vote

You can't be serious can you? Then how do you decipher fact from rhetoric, which each side claims the other one is full of. "The Republicans will bring back the draft" is an opinion, wrong or right, we can be the judge of that. It is no different then when Kerry says, "I will only raise taxes on people making $200,000 or more a year" and then the GOP responds with, "no way, he will raise taxes on everyone, especially YOU middle class" and then Kerry says, "no that is a lie" but he in fact can't send a cease and desist order to the locations of Bush's speeches and say, "umm you can't say that because that is a lie" Rock the Vote isn't a news organization. They are a vote registration service, biased? Yes, but that isn't against the law, at least I don't think. -
You know when C-Bacon dropped the line about 'military interventions that serve their own interests' he was just dying to go there, so I accommodated him. But you're right, it has nothing to do with it. Actually Haliburton has a lot to do with it, unless you stupidly feel that NO ONE in Iraq is capable building stuff, and the only ones up to the task are american corporations that price gouge. Sending an american corporation over there with exclusive "rights" to build everything back up, sure as hell exhibits "america going to war for it's own interests"

Freedom of Speech? I mean if the speakers feel the Republicans are going to try and bring back a draft, then they can say it if they want to, right? Hell, Stolen Honor is being aired despite not containing any facts, just opinion, and the fact that is was only made 5 weeks ago. -
I have heard Eminem's albums. He is decent, but way overrated. His style was different from other people so his status was elevated by a media eager for the next "king of controversy" He wants to come off as tough and hardcore, but from the little I have heard about his life, it sounds a lot more Jerry Springer, then Thug Life. As far as Michael Jackson, he was a pop star, the most famous ever, so of course he was going to sell out for a few songs, big deal, no different then Mr. Gangsta Eminem going on TRL yet claiming his songs "get no play" LO F'N L. Michael Jackson from the age of what six, has pretty much owned the pop charts, and lets not even get into worldwide popularity. Michael Jackson made pop songs, so of course they aren't going to be lyrically genious, but they aren't supposed to be, that isn't the purpose of a pop song. Eminem's lyrics, haven't changed since his first album, same material, just recycled and rearanged.

Modern Stone Age Families for Nader!

I dunno though, those stone age cars, had a high rollover rate. Especially when you ordered the spare ribs. -
Oh you mean like "Stolen Honor" that affiliates are being FORCED to air right before an election, by a huge republican contributor who just this morning said, "every time a carbomb goes off in Iraq, it is good news for Kerry" which subtly hints at any time the NEWS is reported, it is good for Kerry.

Damn, I guess the residents of Bedrock will be silenced. -
Most Potions only work if you haven't smoked 48 hours prior to taking it.
-
looks good, and like most similar documentaries on the subject, much better then Farenheit 911
-
that is a good movie......
-
How much do you smoke? It really depends. Also it depends what type of test they give you. If they send you to a lab in a hospital, it is unlikely an of those potions will work, however if it is the cheesy style, where they take a beaker of piss and stick a dipstick in it, to check for THC levels, those are easy to beat. Some Potions instruct you to take it 1-2 hrs before your drug test. They don't "clean your system" but they mask your urine for 6-8 hrs. I know a guy that just beat the test. He found out a week prior that the company would be doing random tests, so he drank cups of water all day non stop. Pissed about 8 times, and when they gave him a voucher to go take the test, his piss was too deluted or "thinned out" by water to get an accurate reading, and since that in no way means "guilty" the company couldn't do anything about it.

If you are thinking about seeing Farenheit 911, don't. Get a hold of "The Truth and Lies of 911" which is much better. The Corporation is good As is "The Hunting of the President"

Voter registrations thrown out in Nevada
NoCalMike replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I could have sworn when I voted in 2000, when they found me on the list, they had me initial it, which would eliminate anyone else trying to pretend to be me, from coming in and using my name. -
In Playstation magazine they said if you make Snake Spin around during his Halo jump, when he lands, he will puke.....lol. Try it. They also named some other cool things you can do, in case anyone is interested.
-
oh well then you have obviously never watched the trailer for the next big documentary......"Michael Moore Hates America"
-
yes I would have preferred, Darth & Me......lol.
-
The Truth & Lies about 9/11 > Farenheit 9/11 If you want to compare stuff on the left and right, it is at least fair to get the best representative of both, and Farenheit 9/11 is FAR FROM it.
-
Apparently there is a Blues documentary/musical coming out called, "lightning in a bottle" Here is the trailer for it...... Lightning in a bottle

My dad turned me on to Muddy Waters........good stuff.

I hate to do it, but let's play role reversal. Bush puts up something on his website very similar to Kerry's. You really don't think this would be everywhere like the Pentagon posting about filling up draft board positions on the internet were (which, by the way, have been empty since 1999 when the 20-year term limit for those positions began to hit) with the Chicken Littles screaming "THE DRAFT IS COMING THE DRAFT IS COMING!" Hell, they turned Stop-Loss into speculation about a new draft even though the military has been using it since the Gulf War I. Well I suspect that perhaps some folks would play out the scenario you just laid out, however the problem is, it says right there in the original post that Kerry is talking about Community Service.

NFC East games are usually always close and hard fought.
