If they MUST give the belt to Orton, why not hold it off until the Rumble? Or at least Survivor Series. I mean a world class wrestler losing to Orton the green rookie, their first match against each other is going to look bad for Benoit. They should play off the fact in the psycology of the match that Orton doesn't "belong" there yet, and have Benoit kind of toy with him, and have Orton put up an effort but lose, and then have the feud continue. However a ONE & DONE situation, will be HORRIBLE for Benoit's near future.

Well I am glad I get to see my team on national tv, since I don't local coverage of the Skins out here in CA, however this is the second or third year in a row they have to suffer through FIVE preseason games. Of course, Gibbs can put preseason into perspective. Also with Ramsey and Brunell going at it for the starting position, we should see a little effort at least..........I have class so I am gonna tape the game, which puts taping Raw in jeopardy unless another tv becomes free.......

You have to take into account they were pretty decent spenders for a portion of that. relative to whom? Seemed to me they were trying to cut deals left and right to keep their team salary below average. Hell we almost didn't get Dotel this year because the owners didn't want to add his salary on. Like I said, I never claimed the A's HAD TO BE in the lower hald of the salary range to be "pure" or whatever, I just said, that a 200 million team salary amongst a league where most other teams aren't even close to that, is ridiculous.

Oakland has actually been one of the more successfull small market clubs, with 4 titles in the time they have been in Oakland and overall as a franchise, tied with the second most World Series wins with the Cardinals. However the problem, is that the economics of sports is not the same as it used to be. In today's world sports is much more business-like then say, 50 years ago. I kind of have mixed feelings on a salary cap because you definately don't want the situation you have in football where no team can stay together for more then 2-3 years. I always wondered why the league didn't have ONE BASE SALARY for everyone, and then every other aspect was performance based. The one big knock on that though is the bench guys will claim that not starting is effecting their performance potential to earn more money. Also, this could increase performance enhanced drug abuse, especially since the sports world is content with hiding 90% behind closed doors.

Why on earth is independent news sources any more inaccurate then Fox or NBC? Hell Fox wanted to label a motor home as a WMD Lab, and touted that they were the first on the story, that seems just as suspect as this story, hell I didn't see you bashing Fox as being unmitigated bullshit at the time. When Fox or NBC or ABC etc....break a story, no one rushes to all the other networks to check for sources, so why is it any different for independent media sources? When people bash Drudge it is because he has a well know history of reporting anything and everything that comes across his desk, especially stuff that is selacious in order for a better sell.

Something else too, on a wildlife preserve, wouldn't scientists, and geologists etc.......have to venture in there to keep up with what is going on with the wild life. So it is kind of silly to think they would be perfectly hidden. Also I think William Hurt's character OWNED the land, cause that wild life jr ranger had William Hurt's last name splattered on the front of the jeep. Also if 10 people dissapeared at the same time, you'd think there would be an FBI investigation. Also it seemed like the Jr. Ranger kind of let her off the hook rather easily, withouth any further questioning or investigating. ------------------- Overall, I didn't think this film was an ABOMINATION TO CINEMA, but it is one of those films that wants you to just blindly go along with the weakness in the dialouge and plot. This is the kind of film that contrary to what M. Night S. says, does NOT want you to ask questions, and would rather you just play dumb and accept the shoveled shit like a horsefly.

Tyson hasn't done anything in the last 10-12 years to deserve having people pay for him on PPV. Sure, people will flock for the controversy, but honestly Tyson doesn't deserve the people's money. Tyson in his prime beat a small group of over-the-hill good fighters, like Spinks, Ruddock, and Burbank. Besides that, what does he have in terms of "greatest boxer ever" arguments? When Tyson got his chance in the mid 90's to go out and prove himself, he lost to Holyfield, and Lost to Lewis.

Honestly I don't even think Michael Moore can be lumped in with the extreme left, because that would be like saying Moore and Nader are one in the same, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. Also, Moore cannot debate his way out of a paper bag, sure he can make entertaining movies/docs when there is no opposition getting a voice through, however whenever he is engaged in a debate he comes off looking like someone who really has no idea what he is talking about, where as Nader often holds his own and even makes both parties look like hypocrites on a regular basis.
