  1. Umm, all those polls were taken after all the 9/11 "Iraq-Saddam-Al Qarda-Taliban-Uranium-WMD-Taliban" media blitz....Remember Rummy said we knew EXACTLY where the WMD's are and painted a picture that we were going to fly in, disarm Saddam, and the Iraqi citizens would be waiting with pro-america parades. In otherwords....a load of BS.
  2. If Removing Saddam was the "right thing to do" and that alone would have gotten your vote of confidence, why was it not brought up when Bush was campaigning in 2000, more over, why was Iraq & Saddam used as a scapegoat for 9/11. Regardless of whether the words, "Saddam was reponsible for 9/11" came out of the administrations mouth, you are foolish, very very foolish if you believe Bush/Cheney and the gang were not trying to blur the line severely leading up to the plans to go to Iraq. I just find the "well who cares if we have a liar for a president, who misled the country it was the right thng to do" That argument may have convinced some of the party-liners on this board, but the overwhelming poll numbers show that it was the blur and distortion of information regarding Al Qaeda and Iraq/Saddam that led to public support for this war, not that it was "the right thing to do" or even the more perposterous "lets go liberate the Iraqi people" Furthermore, even if you feel the war in Iraq was ultamitely the right thing to do, you'd STILL have to come to the conclusion that you cannot trust the current president based on his tactics. With that said, if you cannot trust the president when it comes to issues involving US lives more specifically US Solider's lives, then how can you really every believe what is coming out of the man's mouth on other issues?
  3. Actually, if you read the articles, you'll notice that they said Henson looked the best... Meaning it might be Henson then Testaverde. doesn't matter until the games start. Unless Vinny get injured before the opening weekend, he wil be the starter.
  4. Apparently Quincy was already in some type of drug rehabilitation program. Since this was a team drug test and not an NFL issued drug test, the Players Association might be paying attention. Supposedly the 'Boys are trying to paint the picture that Vinny beat out Carter, rather then being released based on a team issued drug test.
  5. It is nice to see Quincy Carter following along in the deep rooted history of the Dallas Crackboys.....
  6. well the game pisses me off because I am in class following online, rather then at home with a beer, in the easy chair, relaxing and watching...
  7. Crosby is a stud. A's up 8-4....if their bullpen continues it's dominence it has displayed since the All-Star game, this one should be over...
  8. Does anybody even listen to the Vatican anymore anyway?
  9. The Corporation (should be making rounds at arthouses right now) The Hunting of a President Orwell Rolls in his grave OutFoxed
  10. Thank you Chapelle for turning down MTV. Now they will have to leech off of some other trend to overexpose..... You Da Man......
  11. Shaun of the Dead infects America....... I can't wait till this hits the local arthouse......
  12. I dunno, has it? Even so, there is still the "biased liberal media" defense that never fails...
  13. well all the preseason games are on NFL network for you that have Direct TV, as far as national broadcasts I'd say starting next week 2-3 games per week should make the national airwaves. The skins have 2, against the Broncos and then against the Rams a couple of weeks later.
  14. "Should we do something fucking stupid?" "Well, we have in the past." "That's good enough for me. Let's do something stupid!" -=Mike Well that is the formula that has been seemingly used time and time again.....
  15. Yeah, NO chance that GIVING them nuclear fuel could POSSIBLY backfire. No chance of that AT ALL. Thank God you have no power. -=Mike ...And, no, Iran has NO ties to terrorists. No sir... You're right it could backfire, but our foreign policy doesn't really show a general concern in matters that could backfire down the road. At least historically, maybe it is different now.

    God Forbid

I saw God Forbid open for umm....someone approx 3 years ago. At the time I had never heard of them, but I was highly impressed.
  17. His Raw match with Edge was great. The match at Vengeance went too long but was also very good. All those tag matches he's had with various faces as a member of Evolution were pretty spectacular as well. I also, for one, dug the Shelton match tremendously. Orton's match against RVD on Raw in April(?) where he had the concussion was propably his best. oh yeah, the one where RVD talked him through 90% of the match, yet still gets NO CREDIT from half the posters on this board. Yeah it was a good match.
  18. I say do it at the Royal Rumble, have Orton win the title and Triple H win the rumble and then as the PPV closes they have the friendly but cautious confrontation on the ramp. Then on Raw they have the dissaray-evolution skits where they are happy, but not sure what this all means besides something that is going to end ugly. Build that for a bit, with Orton/Triple showing more tension every week, and then have it culminate with Orton & co. kicking Triple H out Evolution and Orton cutting the, "you weren't happy for me when I won the belt, you were SCARED, scared you'd never get the title back. You secretly were holding me down, and tried to keep me lurking in your shadow, well Triple H, the time has come, and time to face the fact that Evolution has passed you by" blah blah blah....then build hard for the Mania match.
  19. As is Russo's moping around. Yeah I noticed him too, he is there basically for no other reason then to mug for the camera. It is quite hilarious how he keeps walking back and forth to try and stay in the camera shot....lol.
  20. Umm no it wasn't. It was 10 minutes of crap, followed by 5 minutes of greatness. The match was decent because of the hot finish, but as a whole the match sucked. As far as the Evolution matches go, they are all the same damn thing sanz Triple H matches. It is always an evolution member at ringside to effect the outcome, which basically ruins matches and makes the crowd disinterested from the get-go.
  21. I wonder if the Saud family plans on suing him, seeing as how they have basically said he's full of shit, too. -=Mike well hell, they are known for being beacons for truth......
  22. I still think it would be a better idea for Orton to lose to Benoit the first time out, and have it be like something he doesn't want to give up on, and then you kind of have Triple H in the background trying to get him give up that dream so it won't interfere with his own pursuit, and then have it culminate at Royal Rumble with Orton winning the title and Triple H winning the rumble. To me it would make for much more drama if it played out like, rather then Orton winning the title at Summerslam. I mean imagine the elation Orton would express in the ring after a 5 month feud with Benoit where he was beat a couple times, only to mature and finally win, ONLY TO FIND OUT his "best friend" and leader of his group has just won the right to face him at WM......much better then Orton just kind of hanging onto the title this whole time, IMO anyway.
  23. what exactly do they use to show he can work great as a face? I just have this funny feeling that Orton wins the belt at Summerslam, and just doesn't get the reaction Vince and Triple H thought he would, and he ends up dropping it before WM, possibly at the Rumble.
  24. No more ridiculous than some of Kerry's Purple Hearts. -=Mike I don't disagree...
  25. 4 years flying what he was told to fly for a Nat'l Guard group that had regularly been deployed to Vietnam at that point. By the time he was trained, the craft was merged out of major usage by the military. That's Bush's fault how? You don't see ME going on about the questionable Purple Hearts Kerry received, do you? -=Mik not in this thread.....and to suggest Bush had any chance of going to Vietnam is a joke in itself. Why, because YOU think it's ridiculous? -=Mike Yes, Indeedy. I was thinking more along the lines of "preposterous" but ridiculous will do....
