A's won 8-2 today to take 3 out of 4 in Minnesota

This is exactly why Ramsey won't ever live up to his potential. They're taking away valuable NFL experience when he needs it most, in favor of trying to win now with Brunell. Players need PLAYING TIME in order to get better. This is where the Bengals went wrong with Akili Smith, this is where the Chargers are going wrong with their quarterback situation (why a change at quarterback when there's so many other important positions they need to fix first?!), and it's not going to help Ramsey any to spend time on the bench after he's been out on the field and playing. ermm, Chad Pennington sat on the bench 2 or 3 years, and look how he turned out? Pretty damn good. You don't think Joe freakin' Gibbs knows how to coach? He has a history of keeping at least 2 potential starters on the roster. If this was Spurrier doing it, I might question it, but Gibbs knows what the hell he is doingl.

I personally don't feel McNabb is a choker, but moreso he just isn't quite the QB people tend to think he is. He is a playmaker, he can make plays scrambling and throwing, however just based on throwing the ball, he is not ELITE. McNabb's poor throws are often overshadowed by the fact that he can get first downs by rushing. He is definately a playmaker, but as a pocket pass he is easily a middle-of-the-pack type of guy.

kkk NFL pick 'em contest Season Two signups
NoCalMike replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
Man, I hate picking point spreads....how about Confidence points instead? For every game per week there is a confidence point, 15 games = 15 confidence points, 13 games = 13 confidence points...etc.... You award the highest number to the game you feel most confident picking, and the lowest number to the game you feel least confident in picking, and you fill the rest in accordingly. Every correctly picked game you get the correct pick points PLUS the confidence points you selected...... I like this better then picking point spreads.... but it aint my league, I am just a member...LOL -
I guess I will just have to disagree with everyone I here, I loathed Olberman with a passion. I couldn't stand his catchphrases well being they were mostly just noises.....I do admit he and Dan Patrick had good chemistry as a team, but Olberman himself I had no use for.

Actually Brunell is only expected to be the starter this year and possibly the beginning of next season. His contract is setup to where once the number start to escalate he will be cut or the contract will be reworked. Ramsey has stated already that he wants to stay with the Skins, and is confident in Gibbs....
-
Well I am a diehard Skins fan, and I will be sitting in a classroom when the game airs. I have the tape set, as well as the Raw being taped, so I am gonna have a lot to get to when I get home..... I just hope no injuries happen. Gibbs said Brunell gets a quarter, and Ramsey gets a quarter, and then Hassleback/Halbram get the rest of the game. So it will be interesting to see who looks sharper thus far, Ramsey or Brunell......

LOL, if you insist.....

Kompressor's stuff is actually hilarious, but my mind is not made up as to whether this guy is really german or just some american guy from the stix, playing up to the act......judge for yourself...... Also I am looking for a song called, "download mp3s, destroy the music industry" and everyone says it is KOMPRESSOR that does it, but putting his name in searches finds me tons of matches, just not for that song.....so any help on that would be appreciated too Download Kompressor - start with "destroy mass media"

what network was this?

I have the current dvd release, but the MPAA made Kubric digitally put in party-goers to block out the sex at the big masked ball........I wonder if the studio will ever put out an uncut version.....!?!

I think Olberman was the worst of the old-school crew. I like Craig K the best, but I didn't see his retro return tonight.....

After 18 innings and Dotel nearly letting it slip by, the A's win 6-5......

That is a communist website, meaning it is basically unmitigated bullshit...... [/MikeSC]

BWA HA HA HA! I've openly criticized Bush more than you've criticized Dems. "Oh, they're as bad as the Republicans" --- yet, somehow, specifics are few and far between. the Wal-Mart structure works fine in bigger cities, where there is no effect when corporations come and go, however in smaller towns where Wal-Mart comes in and causes the shut down of mom and pop stores, then a year later decides they town does not have enough people to make them enough profit they just feel fit to move right on out, leaving the town devastated.

Former WWE Star Planning To Release New Film

it won't load for me either. -
Well for one, I don't follow the Democratic Party line what-so-ever. I am a liberal, but I am not constricted by a party in which does about equally nothing for me as the republicans(imo) so it often comes off like I am democrat, but that is just because Bush is the president so there is a mutual effort to want him to go.... Secondly, I am not defending anyone, I just looked at the thread and decided to throw my 2 cents in, not to come to anyone's aid. I feel if you post at a message board you should be able to handle your own arguments.

Well then one could argue that there is a major difference between watching coverage on tv of the attacks, and having someone whipser into yor ear, "america is under attack" and not having a clue anything else about. Fair enough, but I still think that even that could cause substantial shock to ones own mind to keep you from doing anything for at least a few minutes, if not more. I doubt any President would have done differently than what Bush did, and frankly I wouldn't hold it against them if they did. It's an utterly stupid way to judge one's character, in my honest opinion. For the record I don't hold it against Bush for what he did. I am not mad, outraged, engorged in anger etc.......I am simply just responding to MikeSC claiming that Kerry is somehow a liar because he answered a hypothetical question to a make believe scenario that never existed..... Oh and I apologize for my overall poor grammar today, I am at work so it I don't really have time to proofread...

I'm arguing (And very simply) that your life isn't always indicitive of the economic situation. well either is a grocery store going up in your area. Look nobody said there aren't ANY JOBS anywhere being created. Also it has to do with net jobs created. You have to look at new jobs opposed to how many jobs are being lost at the same time. Outsourcing jobs effects people in the midwest a lot more then people in say, a big city. When a city loses a corporation, hell, there is 100 more to choose from in a matter of minutes. In other cities, if a plant decides to move overseas, you can goodbye to the prosperity of the city and it's residents. And don't just come back with, "well move to the city, asshole"

Damn this is the second forum today that is kind of crossing over to personal attacks........ah well what do I care, I am not a mod....

It's not a question of title - it's one of responsibility. In a situation of national crisis, the leader of the free world has much greater individual responsibility than any member of his 100-person upper legislature and a different standard of conduct would be expected. Mind you, I have no problem with how Bush reacted. A different standard might be expected --- but a different outcome based on job titles seems far-fetched. People are who they are. Their job title isn't going to change things. A dishonest man who gets ordained as a priest will still be a dishonest man. -=Mike what about one that suddenly "finds christ" and is born again right before an election campaign?
