  1. Holy shit Weezy's rant on Al Sharpton at the end of Carter III is gold.
  2. KOAB's dreams of Big Country vs Kimbo are one step closer to reality.
  3. True dat. The trade-off, of course involves going to Buffalo.
  4. Nah, that's nothing to gather employees over.
  5. You know what I mean. MSG and boxing have always been synonymous with each other and for UFC to step into their backyard would be big news.
  6. I'd enjoy seeing UFC run a show at MSG because it would basically be the final nail in the coffin of boxing.
  7. I don't see how the NY legalization fits into the 5 year plan part but yeah, that's a pretty big deal if it's true.
  8. GSP's action figure needs to come with tiny shorts or this is all for nothing. Anderson's needs a button in his back where he throws a knee when you push it.
  9. - The participation in stat rape thing is new to me, could refer to something from his younger days or could be BS. - Forced conversion I imagine would refer to Hughes pushing religion on fighters in his camp but I've never heard about him actually forcing somebody to convert. The rest is kinda self-explanatory. I'm surprised they didn't bring up "racist" based on Matt's comments to Din Thomas on TUF 4.
  10. Pie all day. I'm the only person at work who has requested the social committee bring me a strawberry rhubarb pie on my birthday.
  11. They should come out with multiple version of BJ action figures. Slim, Pudgy and Regular Penn.
  12. Cecil Peoples was judging? After that I got nothing, that along with Chuck/Jardine have been some of the more retarded split decisions in a while.
  13. From MMAJunkie.... "Debunked rumors included the possibility of boxer Floyd Mayweather joining the organization; World Wrestling Entertainment partnering with the UFC in any capacity (including ownership and merchandising); the UFC appearing on FOX, ABC or another network; and the UFC possibly going public. White said none of them were true." So no confirmation/denial of Chuck vs Anderson but that's nothing that he'd gather everybody together for. Gotta say I'm semi-intrigued on this one simply because of what's been shot down so far. YNA- In regards to your comment on soccer kicks/stomps/knees there's going to be a conference for boxing/MMA judges in Montreal coming up and Big John is going to be making a presentation to the athletic commissions in attendance about why knees on the ground should allowed in MMA.
  14. Things the announcement is NOT about so far.... - Not about Mayweather joining UFC - Not any kind of a TV deal - Very good chance it's not Chuck/Silva as that's not something that would fit into a 5 year plan
  15. File this under abrupt but pretty fucking awesome as Meltzer has been reporting that for their Atlanta show in September UFC wants to have Anderson move up to 205 and fight Chuck.
  16. Thinking back on it, if there had been more then 10 seconds left in the round we'd have easily see Nate get another point taken away due to the piledriver so I suppose it balances out the incorrect point deduction.
  17. This turned out to be a very solid show, even though it didn't have the big names of 84 I found it just as enjoyable. - To all bitching about the Vera fight, blame Vera for doing absolutely dicknothing from the bottom. I fucking can't stand it when fighters put themselves in bad positions, do nothing to get out and then bitch about not being hurt. Werdum was laying into him and Vera did NOTHING to get out from under. I like Truth and all but he needs to step back and take a look in the mirror when he's addressing blame here. - It really sucks England doesn't have an athletic commission otherwise I'd say Nate should be filing a report to get that decision reversed. Doesn't take away from what was a good fight and hey, anytime we see a full-on piledriver in a fight I'm a happy camper. - I don't know why Hawk is crying over Swick's performance, he basically shut Davis down completely and used his size and reach very well. Sucked to see Marcus lose but I like Swick so it's not terrible. - DAMN did Bisping look good there. Awesome killler instinct when he was throwing down from on top, fantastic ground and pound. - Hardonk earns the love of anybody who hates Eddie Sanchez for making us sit through his last fight. - DOUBLE PUMP KNEE. Gee Christ Alves looked scary here, those shots he threw from on top were fucking lethal. I don't see what the whole debate over the weight thing is, unless all of it settled in his knees. - Matt Wiman? Seriously? I don't know who he KO'd but it certainly wasn't the fighter who came close to beating Tyson Griffin.
  18. I picked it up. It was fairly cheap and the undercard was solid.
  19. I get the whole "If you can see the cabin you're special" thing but they were pretty pressing with the idea that Hurley was important in finding it when he didn't do anything at all.
  20. Vera is a good tournament grappler. To say he's proven himself in MMA terms would be inacurate.
  21. So, thinking on this season one thing that never amounted to anything was Hurley seeing Jacob's cabin. They left it alone until Ben told Locke about it but even then it meant nothing because Locke had the dream about Horace and found the DHARMA blueprints on his own, Hurley played absolutely zero role in all of it.
  22. Werdum looked mad doughy at the weigh-ins.
  23. My issue with the raising of the dead is that the islands spiritual/healing properties have been established since day one. I know we're constantly discovering new things but for them to wait 4 season to reveal that the Island can raise the dead would be weak.
  24. Maybe. It's the Island, after all. The main reason I'm so resistant to the idea that Christian is alive is because I really, really don't want it happening. I've been able to process pretty much everything on the show so far but raising the dead is a slippery slope.
