i have decided to return said hat to said thrift store. i think insanity overcame me during the purchse. it was 5 dollars for a regularly priced 80 dollar hat. but i couldn't get over the smell of death & lice burrowing into my scalp. your friend must have been insane. cloth that covers ones face should never be recycled. thats much worse than mine. although mine was/is disgusting. i was sorta hoping i could get ti dry cleaned, but no dice. its too ncie of hat to even get dry cleaned.

oh. electric circus is great. its musical adverturism makes it far more interesting than anything else he's ever released. i don't recall ever promoting anything anything else common-related. certainly no socially conscious rap. electric circus wasn't jazz rap, nor emo, nor involving socially conscious issues. it was like a psychadelic rap album. its somewhere between bitches brew, their satanic majesties request & the first n.e.r.d album. its critical acclaim (criticism) mirrors those, too. the concept appealed to me then, and still does today. has anyone else really done this? n0. will anyone? probably not as common got racked through hot coals for it. he returned his vanilla straight forward mc style after it. which, and i am in the extreme minority, i find to be a mistake. pretension isn't always a bad thing in music. i consider satanic majesties better than a lot of stuff the stones did. bitches brew was considered blasphemous to most jazz fans.

i don't get the talking heads either. my funny valentine is probably the most underated miles davis release. i didn't like loveless when i first heard it. but i love it now. pavement's slanted & enchanted can be difficult for me, although i love pavement. i didn't get the importance/significance/genius of the beatles up until a while ago. the white album is my least favorite of theres. one day i'm sure i'll turn around on that one. when i sit down & give it the time it "must" deserve.
