He had a great recurring role as J.D.'s father on Scrubs and a guest spot on Newsradio - two of my favorite shows. I enjoyed his work on 8 Simple Rules... and I'm sure more than a few on this board will agree. RIP John.

The sales ads for the CD has already been printed for Walmart and K-Mart already, so here's hoping that they don't push the release date back now. Oh god, Speakerboxxx and The Love Below are BOTH going to rule the school.

I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stain of time The feeling disappears You are someone else I am still right here What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way The news hits home on a personal level. One of my good friend's godfather is Johnny Cash - he was also named after the man. His father also had a close performing relationship with Cash.

If Huricane Isabel causes a lot of damage next wk
Fökai replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, you can ask the same question for Lesnar using his finishing move on Tuesday. -
I also posted this in Current Events, since I didn't see this topic when posting it. RIP Johnny.

Just reported on CNN Headline News. He passed away at Baptist Hospital in Nashville after 2 weeks of treatment for a stomach ailment. Rest in peace, Johhny.

I don't think it's been released on DVD yet. Jay Spree hinted at a DVD release later this year... WITH DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY.

Doesn't the SoBrig (sp?) virus cause this to happen?

We're both right. It's both newsletters.

Well, considering a talent like Kurt Angle is currently holding the WWE title, I'm not crying myself to sleep that Benoit ISN'T holding it right now. Regarding the original post: extremely in-depth booking. One minor gripe, though: you're giving away too many "money" matches during Benoit's title reign. In addition, having Lesnar lose at NWO 2004 in a throwaway match/show is a bit silly. February should literally be the sloooooooow build from his blow-off with Eddie to his eventual 'Mania match with Angle. Throwing Brock in there as a speedbump for Benoit in between feuds makes both look weak in the process.

By "paying any mind to those TNA fans", do you mean NOT signing their fliers? Considering that Goldberg signed the fliers NONETHELESS, I think that makes him more of a stand-up guy than a internet smark who's claiming he's an "asshole" and a "jackass" for doing the right thing (knocking on the hypocritical and mighty lonely TNA "heel section").

In terms of people remembering that day quite vividly, I'd say yes.

On the eve of 9/11/2001 (Monday), I had begun my first day at work. Getting home at about 6:30, I almost immediately dropped onto my bed and fall asleep soundly. Eerily, I had woken up at 3:30 A.M. HST. Admittedly, I don't wake up ANYTIME before 7:00 A.M., so this was seriously strange. I had wondered into my mother's room to check out the morning shows - much to my dismay, I had tuned in just in time to see Tower #2 hit. To clarify, by "just tuned in", I mean "first scene out of the television". It scared me shitless, because it felt like a terrible dream caused from the day before. Immediately waking up my mother, I became transfixed to the scene until my ride to school came. Classes were mostly cancelled for the most part, with a television set-up in every classroom to keep everyone informed. From school straight to the television at home, I finally turned it off after 10:00 - I had finally had my mental limit.

You know the title scene is a futile situation when you're using that rhetoric.

The first one is so-so. The second botched Pedigree is directly attributed to HHH's injury.

To anyone who's in the know - does TNA plan to use Sting really soon (next week or 9/25)? It'd be a good idea to either use him next week, OR advertise him for the week after. My thinking is that this will entice any new viewers to purchase future shows, but put Sting in with a top heel (Styles, possibly) and have the heel come out on top - just to put the attention on the worker who works full-time with TNA.

The *Official* bps21 NFL Power Rankings (Week 1)
Fökai replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in Sports
Well, the Bills are 1-0. ...and the Niners are 1-0. I can picture Berman's face right now. -
Yeah, but the basis of THIS show is to persuade new viewers to purchase future shows. When it's a hard-sell with CLIPPED matches, people have a right to complain about the .01¢ show. This is not to mention the lack of explanation of the storylines that got us to that match in the first place (although I don't know if they're doing this on the InDemand show or not).

Thanks to OSIcon for the heads-up. Regarding the incident from Dave Meltzer -

Why is everyone offended by the role of a tweener Jericho? Smackdown has 5-6 guys positioned correctly, that can believeably play a face or heel on any given night RAW? None.

Yeah - signing autographs when it wasn't necessary to do so. While doing that, he was heckled by a group of smark fans that were outcast from their favorite promotion. Taking shots at his wrestling ability while trying to shill TNA, he decides to kayfabe them and rile them up. Fuck Goldberg.
